For the player who asked (if you meant me) I'm usually quiet in the first couple of days because I'm so busy reading people and making notes. But I tend to come out of my shell a bit by night 2-day 3ish. The impressions I'm gathering mean nothing to me at this point, but might later on. I doubt they would mean anything to anyone else either, but I will share them if anyone wants me to. :noble:
I was referring to metalmash when I said "Meta". Sorry for the confusion

I agree with SVS, while I did read the entirety of DH v Epi and Ace v Trice, I think it would help me during a reread if i knew where the arguments were going while reading. Personally, I feel like DH and Trice are arguing past each other on the "Good" remark, so if a third party could reframe that, both for my own understanding, and the mutual understanding of Dh and Trice, that'd be awesome.

Not a ping, but honestly, I expected Llama to take a bigger role in conversation thus far.

Epi, You said that ace is normally a quiet player, having never played with him, can you elaborate further?

also, play style reads on DP, Meta, Zomba, Boo, Trice, and Snowman would be nice if someone would like to offer them.
As far as I understand, the "good" remark is in reference to what Trice said about the L/Light lynch option, in reference to Ace's analysis of the options. DH read Ace's analysis as saying it would be more logical for the baddies to pick the normal lynch, while Trice read Ace's analysis to say the lynch option would be the one civilians would pick. Trice then argued that the two interpretations were identical. I think DH is splitting some unnecessary hairs here, but I don't think Ace's language marks him as bad.

Okay – so here’s my thoughts based on all my reading and what little I know about players from the Donner game.

Ace – Seems to be hunting baddies. Is it to kill them or not kill them?
Bass – Sick family so I won’t vote for him.
Bea – Posts seem jokey and off topic. I don’t know what that means though.
Bird – No opinion.
BlackRock – Only one post. I can’t find it. I agree with SVS that baddies might not want to post.
Boo – I liked Boo’s analysis of the Day 0 poll. I will not be voting to lynch Boo.
Boomslang – No opinion.
DH – You freak me out! But it sounds like that is normal. I am not a fan of your L/Light poll vote.
DP – Your posts are few but packed with mystery. I don’t have a feel if you are good or bad and I think that might be how you like it.
Elo – No opinion.
Epi – It seems like everyone thinks that you are a trouble maker. I don’t get that vibe, plus I like how much you care about using correct grammar in your posts. I will not be voting to lunch you today.
FZ – I LOVE your analytical mind. I won’t vote to lunch you unless I have a really good reason to suspect that you are bad, and I don’t.
Juliets – No opinion.
Lon Con – No opinion.
Made – Your avatar makes me laugh and your analysis reminds me of FZ’s.
Matahari – No opnion.
MM – You seem different in this game then you did in Donner but that might just be because Donner was a different kind of game and you got killed first.
Rico – It looks like you chilled out a little. I like that you took my advice.
Roxy – Hey! No opinion.
Russ – No opinion.
SVS – You seem to take the role of ‘game therapist.’ Always helping everyone get along and feel good about themselves.
Snowman (my husband) – Always paying a game within the game.
Spacedaisy – It is weird that you went back and forth on the Normal – L/Light vote.
Llama – You don’t seem to be posting very much.
Tricer – You did get defensive once someone mentioned you.
Turnip – No opinion.
Zomba – You seem totally non-bad to me.

Now that I’ve laid it all out I’m gonna post it and see who says what.

DP is a low poster and usually coasts through games, cool guy though

Snowman votes early and doesn't say much

Can't comment much on zomba and haven't played with the others

I only play mafia for the therapeutic benefits are arguments & am also an asshole, don't know if that qualifies as playstyle but that's me every game.

I have to take exception to this comment. You were bad in Donner and about to be lunched and you didn't say anything for pages and pages (i.e., you laid low quite well). However, that would mean that since you are acting differently here, that you are now good. But if you are good, why would you say something that wasn't true if you didn't have to? Something seems not right. I feel manipulated.

Donner was an interesting situation, because it was obvious from day 1 that baddies have no hope. BTSC for civs sort of breaks the balance of mafia. I will gladly admit I didn't play that game to any acceptable standard

I was also not there & posting at any point between my lynch case being started & the vote ending, not much I can do without being around :shrug2: kudos to the civs for figuring out the mechanics almost as fast as Rob did

linki. that was earlier and wasn't what I was posting about, though
And how exactly did putting a vote where I did keep me from attention? I've been playing this game a long time, if I wanted to blend in I know how to do it. I voted what I felt like voting for the reasons I have explained. I left the thread planning on coming back in a bit, catching up, seeing if something someone said changed my mind, unfortunately other issues arose that I felt needed attention. Then I had to leave for work. So I went in and voted without posting or catching up because I didn't have time and frankly, i thought everything I had said already spoke for itself and would explain the reason for my drive by vote when I got home. I really didn't see the big deal.

So it is rather misleading to talk about this three times in the thread stuff. Yeah I was in the thread three times, but something came up between the last time I posted and the last possible time I had to vote before I went to work.

Epi, fair enough re:your reasoning. I don't understand why you wouldn't just say that to begin with, because it didn't make sense to me that I was on a short list for reasons that made no sense. However, it was not a baddie move, it was because I liked both options so evening up seemed like the way to go to me. :shrugs:

This is the only read on a player that I'm confused about, because I actually noted bea supporting several times on D0-D1 the on-topic arguments by players such as boo or SVS and has discussed yesterday a bit with me and SVS regarding several low posters. So why did you see only "jokey and off topic" posts?

Bea can come across that way, especially on catch up skim. Until you either know her well, as I do, or have a direct real time conversation with her, as you did, I find that that is often the impression one can get from a quick read of her, since Bea is always about fun & the game in equal measure.

Normally I don't do inline comments, since it is really hard to see when you are in reply mode, but it would be harder to follow since it's a list if placed at the end.
Zomberella12 wrote:Okay – so here’s my thoughts based on all my reading and what little I know about players from the Donner game.

Ace – Seems to be hunting baddies. Is it to kill them or not kill them? I don't see him being this aggressive when bad
Bass – Sick family so I won’t vote for him. Ditto, same for Roxy
Bea – Posts seem jokey and off topic. I don’t know what that means though. It means she's Bea <3
Bird – No opinion. Would like to hear his thoughts
BlackRock – Only one post. I can’t find it. I agree with SVS that baddies might not want to post. Her & LC are quiet across the board, but would like to hear more from them
Boo – I liked Boo’s analysis of the Day 0 poll. I will not be voting to lynch Boo. Ditto
Boomslang – No opinion. I know he has been somewhat active, but I need to reread him
DH – You freak me out! But it sounds like that is normal. I am not a fan of your L/Light poll vote. DH is a force of nature at times; scary but amazing, lol.
DP – Your posts are few but packed with mystery. I don’t have a feel if you are good or bad and I think that might be how you like it. Never thought of it that way, but that is a good analysis of DP in general
Elo – No opinion. Looking to reread myself today
Epi – It seems like everyone thinks that you are a trouble maker. I don’t get that vibe, plus I like how much you care about using correct grammar in your posts. I will not be voting to lunch you today. He is a troublemaker :noble: and one of the few people I think capable of making a HUGE bluff. Doesn't mean he made one, though. But always worth watching.
FZ – I LOVE your analytical mind. I won’t vote to lunch you unless I have a really good reason to suspect that you are bad, and I don’t. FZ is a reread for me, only becasue I tend to agree with her when we're both civ, and I need to see where we are vis a vis each other. Due to the big one on one matches the past few days, she is one of several who have fallen through the cracks for me.
Juliets – No opinion. I know she was out of town for a day or two.
Lon Con – No opinion.See Black Rock
Made – Your avatar makes me laugh and your analysis reminds me of FZ’s. No worries for me here.
Matahari – No opnion. Her self characterization as a slow starter is fairly accurate iirc; and she does read everything. My opinion of her will be based on HOW she reads it.
MM – You seem different in this game then you did in Donner but that might just be because Donner was a different kind of game and you got killed first. Ditto; his bit of a hissy after a passing mention in a thread full of craziness got my eye
Rico – It looks like you chilled out a little. I like that you took my advice. Knows a lot about canon, and so far seems to have opinions somewhat in alignment with my own. I like that :D
Roxy – Hey! No opinion. <3 See Bass
Russ – No opinion. Really? Did you see the thing Epi said about him not posting? He has not made one post, but he did vote yesterday.
SVS – You seem to take the role of ‘game therapist.’ Always helping everyone get along and feel good about themselves. This is done more for myself than them, lol. Mafia is a weird pastime for someone who stresses over conflict :omg:
Snowman (my husband) – Always paying a game within the game. No opinion yet.
Spacedaisy – It is weird that you went back and forth on the Normal – L/Light vote. I think Daisy would have worried more about how things looked if she were bad, and would not have made a drive by of sorts.
Llama – You don’t seem to be posting very much. Ture. I would like to see more confrontational tunnelvision from Llama in order to feel civ feels about him.
Tricer – You did get defensive once someone mentioned you. He did. I started a reread last night, will finish today
Turnip – No opinion. Ditto, and that concerns me. Since, unlike LC & BR he has been present.
Zomba – You seem totally non-bad to me. Ditto.

Now that I’ve laid it all out I’m gonna post it and see who says what.
I am very unlikley to vote for one of the very vocal players, who I am viewing as DH, Epi, boo, then Aces & Trice. I separate the groups mainly because imo, as I said, I think baddies are much more likely to avoid making big cases since it could be a teamie they are lynching. I also think that, for the most part, baddies are less likely to fight really hard for a poll option that seems less civ than others.

This would mean I don't think any of those people (DH, Epi, boo, then Aces & Trice) are likely to be bad. But, of everyone I can think of the first 3 are amongst the most likely people I know to make a really, really bold ballsy move right out in the open. So no intention of voting for them today, but I would be crazy not to keep an eye on them.

I think Aces is sincere, and more cautious in that I am not so sure he would make a power play just to get trice lynched if he were bad. Trice looks a bit murkier, as I said, I am mid reread with him (and trice, I was only thinking of games in our "universe"; where else do you play?

OK, gonna be late for work if i don't shut up.

It's weird to me that people are categorizing me as quiet when I am the third highest poster in the game. But Aces gets counted as "one of the more vocal players" with only 17 posts. I wonder if we are all reading the same thread.

Thank you Zomberella and SVS. I have no idea if either of you are bad or not, but you boiled down your take on all the players in one post, and I appreciate it. I frankly don't have the time to comb through a couple hundred episodes of "Trice Yells at Everyone" every day. I'll offer my insight and contribute what I can, but I don't see the "discussion" coalescing around anyone in particular. All I see is argument ad nauseum around the D0 poll.

I'm happy to see so many involved, but how do you find so much to talk about when literally nothing has happened yet? The most earth-shattering event so far is the realization that Russ hasn't posted anything.

Russ is where I'll likely be voting. He was here and answered all the interrogation room questions. That means there is a game-related reason he isn't posting here, and I cannot surmise a civilian explanation for that.

I don't think your silenced theory will check out, though, for various reasons. In fact, one of it is that BWT just posted, out of three players who didn't so far in D1 (but did vote, at least, on D0). So with just two players or possibly just Russ being inactive, we can't form a solid theory on a type of character/role who'd go "undetected" (i.e. silent) in the thread. That would only lead to lynching Russ simply because he's inactive.

I actually feel the opposite. A lot of things happened so far and they were also facilitated by the Host's D0 poll. What I mean is that, contrary to a normal, lazy, relaxed D0, with polls such as "Do you like Death Note" or "Do you like pie", we've plunged right into the game with the D0 poll, it created heated debates and now most feel they can build some leads/cases/hunts from that, instead of just trying to nitpick (or suggest Llama be lynched for starters).

No. I like you.

In fact, so that no one accuses me of being opportunistic or jumping onto other people's cases, I'll name the quartet now:

Ricochet, Turnip Head, spacedaisy, and FZ.
Why these four?
I believe Ricochet was being deceptive in his Day 0 questions. I think he was pretending to be clueless. He is not clueless. He is very smart. Even he knew that Simon Railton belong in the Eclectic category but sucked beyond belief! I think Ricochet is bad.

Turnip Head? TH has been boring beyond belief. Also I think he is tied to another player.

spacedaisy voted Day 0 and didn't say why. I think spacedaisy is bad with FZ. FZ. also has been absent. I think these two are unsure of what to say.
Ricochet, I could understand him being on your list. But the others I have no clue about. TH is boring and potentially tied to another player? I'd argue I'm not the most exciting mafia player either, so that's kind of lame.

Spacedaisy votes on Day 0 with no explanation ( :puppy: ) and FZ because she's been absent. I've been fairly absent too, and I just met 2 of the 3 conditions there, soooo....

.....

HOLY SHIT GUYS I MUST BE BAD LYNCHMEPLSLOLOLOL

Seriously though, those last 3 are backed up by weak reasons.

I am doing no such thing and you can feel free to pursue any of your suspicions. I was simply commenting on whether your lead, based on your earlier theories, sounds like a good idea or not to me. If you want to lynch Russ simply for being not showing up and for such a behaviour being un-civ-like, that is a different reasoning and I'll have something to comment about it only depending on how Russ will flip, in case of being lynched for this reason.

Okay. That was a little intense. But I think I have a pretty good idea of what direction(s) I'm leaning towards for this lynch.

Definitely not Epig and DH. I read all that shit twice (thanks for that you fools :P), and I need time for it to absorb into my brain. Needless to say, I don't see anything for either of you, or boo for that matter, that makes me think anything other than "This is just DH/Epig/boo being DH/Epig/boo".

Aces I'm okay on. I was gung-ho to vote for him, until I went back and actually read his reasoning on the Day 0 vote. And then it became pretty clear that Trice took his post entirely out of context by quote-snipping. Given the way that Trice continues to hold onto his IMO fairly weak case, plus taking someone out-of-context, plus making a lot of posts that don't really contribute anything until Aces went and brought Trice up, I could see myself potentially voting for Trice today.

Daisy I feel good about for now. I think her fly-by vote would have been more suspicious if she'd come back in and tried to keep justifying her vote. But since she already had, I can give her a pass.

Bass I do not feel good about. He feels like the type of low-poster who is doing just enough to fly under the radar, but still seem like he's paying attention. I'd feel bad voting for someone that can't be around to defend themselves, but I could be pressed to vote in his direction if I decide to go the route of voting a low-poster.

So I'd say right now, I'm considering a vote for either Trice or bass. I'm sure I might have forgotten some other thoughts with how much I just read, but feel free to ask questions for me if you want my opinion on something else.

It is pretty bad form to automatically assume anyone who calls you suspicious is a baddie, Trice. It's reactive and over-defensive, and well.....confrontational.
