Night 3: Are We Sure We're Not Actually In Chicago?

Another victim was dropped off at the Central City Police Station last night. Detectives were surprised to see a very vocal member of the community draped across the steps in front of the station. The dozen or so icicles that riddled DharmaHelper's body were beginning to melt in the morning sun, causing a bloody puddle to form around his corpse. It seemed that Captain Cold was sending another message.

Wally West had no time to wait for his newly resurrected friend to investigate. There were murderers and crooks out there who needed to be put away for what they've done. He raced across Central City, scouring every room of every building until he found Roxy. He grabbed her by her arm as she tried to flee, careful not to take off too fast and risk tearing her limb clean off. Hoisting her off the ground, Wally darted to Iron Heights and threw her in jail.

DharmaHelper has been murdered in...cold blood :slick:

Roxy has been carted off to prison by Wally West

It is now Day 4. You have 48 hours to vote!

Wasn't that Night 3?

DharmaHelper has been murdered in...cold blood :slick:

Night 1, Grodd and Wally West killed.

Night 2, it appeared that Captain Cold killed Epignosis.

Night 3 (4?), Captain Cold kills again, Grodd does not kill, and Wally West kills on schedule.

Golden Glider's role states that she cannot be killed by Old Rogues. That makes sense if Cold is killing. Two Civvie Ninjas? The Night 2 post (which I admit I hadn't analyzed until now) casts some doubt on the honourable intentions of the Old Rogues, which upon first read made me think someone was framing Captain Cold, but killing two nights in a row... plus Golden Glider's thing... I guess it really is Cold making these kills.

I can't fault Wally West's choice of killing Roxy, except now we can't prove she was bad. :haha:

Aaanyway, here's what was sent to the PD's fax machine today:

If you work out Capt. Cold's tildes I think you will see why he has been killing. I'm heading to bed but all I will say is that Roxy bamboozled me in map btsc and my inability to see her true nature cost us yesterday's Lynch and valuable time. I blame my misread on saving Aces and pushing his lynch to Daisy. In fact, he is very likely bad and my actions really hurt. More tomorrow.

aces/roxy, i need to reread that combo
there are a bunch of people mentioning timmer, and i thinks its worth it to reread him too
rabbit, as in every game it seems, just comes and says he suspects LC. But in this one he doesnt add anything at all almost, like i said before, he doesnt seem usual rabbit or maybe he is, but somethings off, imo.
roxy seemed weird, theres something that doesnt sit right with me when i read her posts, aces seems civvier than roxy in appearence, but their whole defense is just odd, gonna reread
the whole bf lynch was too fast and votes piling up with almost no reason, also worth noticing

i reckon im very behind but im willing to catchup and comment on everything and try to help

now gotta go eat and then sleep, but tomorrow morning ill be back
Have we considered that maybe they found each other as baddies and Roxy used the "map BTSC" as a way to vouch for each other? I just found it odd that Roxy mentioned Aces without a name as a suspect and went straight into trusting him in a manner of hours.

Interesting. I worked out Cold's tildes, and I think that maybe it wouldn't be bad if they were public knowledge... it certainly reveals some information that I think needs to be known.

I don't want to blurt it though, I'm hoping to get some feedback on the notion. I actually just thought of a more complex reason why it should stay secret, like a baddie could make a mistake and get caught due to ignorance, or something.

I don't exactly know what to think of Roxy bamboozling you in map BTSC, what you think her "true nature" is, and anything else you're saying regarding Aces... but the gist seems to be that you think he's bad, and that jives with what I'm thinking. And BR as well, it seems.

Sorry folks. Even though I can talk normally now, I am going to be incredibly busy all week, but I will attempt to stay caught up with things here.

In the meantime, I will vote timmer. I think he is a worthy target.

I will say that based on what BF told me, I believe him to have checked Timmer on Night 2. So it is unlikely that Timmer is CC or Heat Wave. And LC, I see your point, but the role list says the Old Rogues are the closest thing to a civvie option. So

Thank you for the input, everyone. I'm still not entirely sure which way to go on this vote.
Having a sure way to tell who is bad that only you know about seems very... convenient. Though I must admit, Bullz has my attention there.

And did I miss a post, or did Bass just vote for Timmer without posting anything. Maybe he's silenced...

Do powers go through the night someone dies? Specifically, if Roxy silenced herself, and Bass is silenced now... could it still have been Roxy that did it?

Bullz has also voted, I think without posting. So he could also be silenced.

Yes. Because there are some powers in this game that have the potential to overlap in...odd ways, the only things that will take precidence are one secret ability and Blocks, regardless of when they are sent in.

So killing a silencer will not stop that night's silence, or killing a killer will not stop their kill, etc...

I can definitely see Bass 2.0 being silenced. But Bullz said that he would be voting for himself the previous day/night. So he may not actually be silenced. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if he posts anything later in the day.

When Day 3 had its weird reset, Roxy and I ended up in btsc together. She insinuated that she was an Old Rogue and that she had contact with Glider, and thus when I suggested certain things about MY role to her (we weren't outing ourselves, but speaking in certain generalities that I think we both understood, etc.) she said flat out "you know I'll know if you're lying pretty quick, then, right?" The point is, that entire day I kept telling her that I had no idea who to vote for, and she knew SPECIFICALLY that I was going back and forth between DH and BF, and she never said ANYTHING about not voting BF, or tried to push me away from such an idea.

Then we both traveled in sync last night but she never came into btsc before day started. I left a long thing in btsc asking "wtf roxy?" but she never came in.

All in all, I think Roxy was bad. I think I sat there and suggested certain things to her carefully, I think she just soaked it up. I feel like an idiot.

So yeah, I think that we had a baddie nailed to the wall the other day in Aces, and I think, like an idiot, I helped save his ass.

Welcome MP, nice to see you again!

As for Bass 2.0 voting for timmer as well without saying anything, I don't know what to make of it.
Have you been reading his posts? He's not interested in doing anything but feeling sorry for himself because I and BF and Rabbit suspect him.. It's literally three people. I can't understand why he is so upset over it.

Oh, and the other thing is Bass 2.0.

Bass specifically, unequivocally, vouched for Roxy in the thread during the Aces/Roxy lynch. And once I got BTSC with Roxy, she fully supported that lynch and suggested very heavily that SHE was Capt. Cold. She mentioned how she thought Epig was bad and "look at who killed him" "you don't get it, do you?" And "think about why Bass would vouch for me".

The two of them set that up. And if you look back through my posts, you'll see that that Bass 2.0 vouch is right where I started wavering on Roxy.

So I've got Bass 2.0 and Aces as two people i will be voting for until they are dead.

Bass 2.0 has also quasi-vouched for S~V~S:

I had noticed that and his Roxy vouching as well.

Of course, Bass, if silenced, cannot defend himself today. PLUS this is coming out after he already cast a vote for you.

Just two things that are relevant to the general situation you're putting forth here.

RIP DH.
So does the fact we didn't get a baddie NK mean we killed Grodd or blocked him? I just went to read the results of the night before (night 2) and it seems as though Captain Cold killed Epig, and we didn't get a kill from Plunder who's supposed to kill on even nights. What the hell does that mean? Was it an absent player?
I feel like the dumb person who doesn't get anything that's going on.

Why are people voting for TImmer?
Timmer, why does Roxy vouching for Aces necessarily makes him bad, even if she was? Couldn't it be that she was trying to look good to him just as you claim she was to you? Maybe she thought it will take her farther? I'm not saying that's the case, but I'm not seeing your explanation as set in stone.

The Bass theory seems stronger, though. I think he vouched for her in his previous version as well as in this version

He did the same in the Keller. :|

What was his role alignment in Keller? Assuming that was another mafia game.

I think he is bad in this game. If I refer to another game I would think he was _____ in that game.

Fill in the blank.

FZ, Bass 2.0 is rock solid baddie. That vouch was huge, and Roxy referred to it as one of the reasons why I should realize that she and Bass are Old Rogues. So yes absolutely, Bass 2.0 needs to go first.

By the way, I need to point out here the mirroring of this logic to Epig's on Day 0/1. Epig also assumed that I/Eloh am not CC or Heat Wave. I don't believe there are many left, but you do realize that there are other Old Rogues, right? If BF hadn't made contact with the Captain yet, then he could have checked a different Old Rogue and not known it. Right? The logic that "not Capt. Cold" = "not an Old Rogue" is VERY shaky.

I feel like a dumb player as well. In fact I had to go back and read things to understand what DH was talking about.

My view on the whole vouching thing was the way Roxy approached it in the thread. It seemed like she was leading up to a vote but keeping important info out. Then all of a sudden she was convinced Aces was good. If I'm remembering correctly I do believe Aces was a lynch subject and the lynch could have swayed that way. I believe they hid behind the map BTSC to cover up their baddie BTSC. The way she led into it flipped peoples opinions of Aces. It would be a grand scheme that Roxy is capable of.
