I thought MM said that thing about the exclamation points, not you. I was like, "WTF? I never heard THAT before", but now I see it was you. You could have an irrational punctuation fetish for all I know, I have never played with you before.

I can't imagine the circumstances that would allow for a rational punctuation fetish, but I will concede that almost anything is possible.

i'll be leaving for Norway in a few hours. i'll still be able to participate, it'll just be during more brief windows.

at the moment i find myself liking nutella's responses to my accusations at least. there's only so much space she has to defend herself against the kinds of accusations she's fielded (including from me), and i think she has done an admirable job of conveying an earnest persona in that effort. i'll try to continue with my investigations of other non-obvious candidates people asked me to look into when time permits.

i am also stretched for time because of another game on RYM which has been going at a furious pace, but i will try to equalize better from this point. i subbed into this game and y'all deserve the best effort i can manage with the time allotted. :)

Act One, Scene Eight

ENTER TIMMER and SINGER

TIMMER: Why are you following me?

SINGER FOLLOWS HIM ONSTAGE

TIMMER RUNS UNTIL HE TRIPS OVER A ROPE ON THE STAGE, IT CATCHES HIS FOOT, HANGING HIM FROM A CHANDELIER.

SINGER: Sloonei cannot guide us. Now we're on our own.
Only civs beside us. So, we're not alone.
No one is alone. Truly.
No one is alone.
Sometimes people lynch you halfway through the game.
Mafia will deceive you, you decide who’s tame.
We decide alone.
But some are not alone.

Sloonei isn't here now. Who knows what he'd say?
No one’s looking good now. Feel we've lost our way?
We decide, but we are not alone
Believe me, no one is alone
No one acts alone. Careful.
No one is alone.

People make mistakes.
Cobalts,
Slooneis,
People make mistakes, holding to their own,
Thinking they're alone.
One another's terrible mistakes.
Bubbles can be right. Ninjas can be good.
We decide who's right, we decide who's good.

Just remember:
Some are on our side
Someone else is not
While we're seeing our side
Maybe we forgot: nutella’s not alone.
No one is alone.

Hard to see the truth now.
Just don't let it go
Things will come out right now.
We can vote it so.
Someone’s not on our side
No one is alone.
nutella’s not alone.
Epi's not alone.

Timmer has been killed.
It is Now Day 8. You have 48 Hours to Lynch someone.

OK, timmer made sense. Sorry bud :sigh: I wish he could have stuck around longer seeing as he just started showing up with reads. (Though I don't see any legacy reads in the past few days. He pretty much got BR killed and so it's hard to draw conclusions of who actually killed him, which made him a solid target)

It's gonna be a lot more confined in here in a bit. JJJ is about to leave for a while, DREAM, Devin and Gumshoe are still MIA.

I really want to nail either Jekyll/Hyde or Bonnie/Clyde today. Webber would be cool too, but right now it's a safe assumption that no more than 1 of the MIAs are in a team together. Could just be one person manning both sides at this point. I want to test that this night. Because if one of the MIAs arent around and are bad, then that's good for us.

Grr I just did a whole analysis post about Hedgeowl and it got deleted. I'm too tired to do it again.
It's ok though, because here's the short gist of her:
-She has only 37 posts, which is quite minimal for someone still [actively] playing the game.
-but she has been constantly "catching up". I legit feel her frustration of continually having to comb through 10 pages every day for the past few gamedays, and how she's felt absent.
-She has voted not terribly so far. She did miss Day 2 vote, even though she was around and could have voted. I don't think it's that suspicious, since she picked it back up every day thereafter (except for the Tiny night). She missed a few night polls as well, so this also seems like a genuine busy-ness. Her vote off the G-man lynch felt justified with her self-proclaimed ideology of players bandwagoning only if they has a reason.
-I feel like she reads as a backdoor civ- she hasn't shared a lot of original suspicions, but also doesn't always go with the crowd on voting.

Hedge, I hope as the thread gets lighter that you come around more.
Can you give me 3 people you might suspect right now and maybe a little bit why?

Oh no, RIP Timmer :( I fully trusted he was a civvie and his loss shall be avenged. Right now I am most interested in pursuing a Niju lynch -- Sloonei had a pretty strong case for her being on mafia 1 I believe.

That sucks, sorry to see you go Timmer.

I am mostly caught up, just a few more people who were not really on the radar, plus another reread of Slooneis Ninjabloop case.

It appears to be Day 8; hey Dom, could we get the day/thread title updated to Day 8? Thanks! "It would be much appreciated (if you know what I mean)."

I don't use more punctuation than necessary & I think that people who do are suspicious-lookin'.

I'm on a plane about to take off but I will recommend that we all look into Cobalt and ninja today- they seem to be the hottest suspects going in, and should be the most scrutinized. Yes, talk about other reads as well, but especially those 2.

I don't want to quote Sloonei's entire case again because it was a real pain in the ass to format and re-format, but I will respond to points he brought up about me. For your convenience, his case can be re-read here for those of you who keep claiming you're going to "look up the case on Blooper again."

Reading through this case, I'm not even sure what team Sloonei is trying to peg me on, because neither team makes any sense. He said my interactions with G-Man and sig "do not paint me in a favorable light." So if he's making the claim that I'm on Team Webber, then he's also asserting that I threw not one, but TWO teammates under the bus without even trying to defend them. I don't count giving G-Man, a player who just subbed in, one day's grace as a defense. Even the host gave that to him. I also don't count not mentioning sig except later in an unfavorable way as a defense. And I sure as shit don't count VOTING FOR TWO PEOPLE ON MY "SUPPOSED TEAM" as a good way to play mafia. It doesn't matter if they were later votes. It would still be two supposed teammates. That's poor, lazy, and cruel team playing, and I'm not any one of those things.

If he's trying to peg me on Team Wilhorn, that's also nonsensical. I made a crazy tie-up vote Day 1 for LC a) to amuse myself and b) because I (rightly) believed LC was bad. I would never throw a teammate under the bus on Day 1, especially with a vote that close. That's idiotic. AND I VOTED FOR HIM AGAIN because my mind did not change about him.

Sloonei himself admits to making this case with major tunnel vision turned on, and it looks like the logic sensor was turned off. One of his other major points is that I didn't mention enough suspicion of sig at the right time, and that sig's weird posts about me gave him pause. I've already addressed the first point. As for the second point, I will say it again as I said to Sloonei: this is precisely the kind of paranoid suspicion that sig was going for. He attempted to paint me in a bad light by lying about me (he said I switched up a vote when I haven't switched a vote all game, even since he was lynched), then buddy up as he was going down (and then buddy back down again) so I could look bad.

Listen to logic, people. If you've ever played on a team with me before, you know I'm not a lazy player (especially since I have a crapload of free time right now!) and I avoid throwing teammates under the bus as much as possible, at the cost of my own thread reputation. This case is nonsensical, and while Sloonei made it with good intentions for the civs, it's wrong. That's all I hope I have to say on that. I'm gonna have a look at people who are really, suddenly eager to get on this case without actually getting on it. I'll return later with thoughts.

I have an observation about nijuu's post above.

The subject line reads "Day 0."

That means she quoted something on Day 0 original, but deleted whatever it said.

I was wondering why it said that, but I figured out the mystery - Sloonei's original post in the link I provided was listed as Day 0 for some reason. I had it quoted, but decided I didn't want to re-format everything. Didn't even notice the subject line

God it's dead in here. I'm assuming MM is voting for Cobalt. Thats what he's been saying for a few days anyway. And that's how I'm leaning right now too.
I've been on the fence with him on and off over the past few days, and his responses to heat was both adequate and aggressive at times.
His beleaguered attempts at seeming MvP in reads come off as advantageous. I mean, I had the first inclination that sig was bad but I'm not boasting about it. I think of it as a collective success, not individual. Also that doesn't mean I'm good by default.

Linki- why, Epi? Of all the MIAs, why Devin?

I officially endorse your analysis, although that of course means diddlysquat. I am just too busy irl and at night so tired that it's no longer fun to catch up constantly, so eventually I give up and go to sleep. I am going on vacation for 10 days tomorrow in rural Wisconsin. I have been told we have internet, but will be with a ton of family. Granted my participation cant get much worse at this point. As for suspects, I still have nutella on my list, but saw JJJ say she defended herself well, so need to check that out. Otherwise, I havent taken the time to anayze the votes as I like to do, not that we have lynched several baddies, but thats where I like to start in my analsysis usually.

Not really anymore. I changed my mind about Cobalt.

What's sticking out to me is that saved lynch Day 2. Someone saved him, and his fake infodump/lying still seems pretty fishy to me, even as a civ. I was putting him off because I think Cobalt is actually independent, but Golden's early vote has me really looking back at Cobalt.

My BIGGEST concern is that he is Gypsy. But even if he is that role, his early play had been so scattered and he looked so fishy that I am resigned to the fact that he is the shakiest good guy here.

I understand it can be frustrating catching up, however these past few days honestly have been rather sparse, (what with the bigger posters either silenced or killed) so I was hoping more discussion would be spurred from people like you, who feel constantly behind.

I do think that nutella defended herself well to JJJ's points. Yet she still looks rather bad-like in my points. Namely her voting log. I didn't feel her answers to my points exactly inspired confidence.

Tally:
15/19 people voted yesterday.
Of the 4 that didn't vote yesterday (Gumshoe, Neverwhere, Devin and DREAM), Neverwhere is the only active one since Day 1.
Neverwhere wrote:Apologies for my lengthy absence. I am back.

Doesn't surprise me Sloonei was killed, but I also doubt that he was converted to mafia. He was perceived as too high profile good guy to have mafia convert him imo. It would have been the obvious thing to do. Too obvious.

Give me some time to work out who's not dead yet :)
This was her last post. That was in the beginning of Day 6. I hope she's ok, or else she has just been REALLY working out who is still alive.
17 players are still alive btw.

This means that unless the MIAs come back, only 13 people are voting today. Could be down to 11, what with JJJ going to Swedetown and Hedge going to Cheesetown.

Can someone contact any of the MIAs to make sure they're ok and cognizant? Having little over half of the players participating is making this rather hard for me. I dunno about anyone else.

I think you are right.

Golden's vote has swayed me as well. This is not the first time a player has appeared to be silenced and placed their vote on Cobalt early on during the same day phase. To me, this emphasizes that the silencer and Jekyll and Hide are working together, and makes it all less likely that Cobalt is mafia, or at least Mafia 2.

Actually it sounded very like Black Rocks defense. Her defense was that the case on her had her on both teams, therefore all of the cases were ridiculous. Bloop posted reasons why both possibilities would be incorrect, but then, so did Black Rock. It was a good defense, but not sure I find it all that compelling.

I am not MIA, Scotty. Cognizant FTW :)

I am not seeing the case on Cobalt. Several voted for Cobalt, and when Bass voted for him, almost everyone else left to vote (who did actually show up; if all the non voters had showed up, it would be a very different story) would have had to vote for him to save Black Rock, and I think it was pretty clear which way the wind was blowing pretty much the entire last half of the last day period, so I am not sure that I think he was doing that. Although my opinion on Bass is pretty much useless, so  As for Nutella, I have a tendency to read her as bad; that said, some of the points made are good ones.

So of the four people taking heat, I am most unlikely to vote for Cobalt. I would be more likely to vote for Bass, but not as much as I would be to vote for Nutella. At this time, I would be most likely to vote for Ninjabloop. I don't have to vote now, though, I will be around tonight.

I think he has a reason, I just don't know what it is. Doing something crypt is and unexpected is what I have come to expect from Epi. I expect he will be unable to hide his light under a bushel for long, though.

My mafia list has grown very narrow and changed a lot over the course of the last few days too, and guess who's on my suspect list right now that wasn't before- speciically because BR and you were interested in him?

Bass.

I don't have time before work to break down his 60 (wow, he's posted that much?) posts, but looking exclusively at his voting patterns is VERY fishy. The MOST fishy.

I'm looking through the viewpoint that he is possibly team Webber, since team Wildhorn tried to kill him.
He normally swoops in with one of the last votes every day, which is :eye:
Day 1 and Day 6 he doesn't vote.
Day 2- bandwagon votes Cobalt.
Day 3- Votes himself, and not sig, who, at that point, was basically giving up. That's right after TGG quit. Would it be a stretch to say team Webber is having some confidence problems here....?
Day 4- last to vote, and instead of putting it on either LC or GMan as the leaders in votes, votes nutella. Inconclusive.
Day 5- One of the last to vote again. this time for GMan. He was the 13th person to vote for GMan. GMan seemed pretty dead anyway, so why not put your vote there.
Day 6- Welp, GMan is gone, and Bass goes MIA for a day cycle
Day 7- He's back and voting for Cobalt again.

I'm inclined to link Bass's alignment indirectly to that of nutella's. IF Bass is lynched, and flips bad, I'm inclined to look the other way on nutella. AND it looks better for Cobalt too. IF Bass flips good, I'm certain nutella is bad, and then maybe Cobalt.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? I need togo to work
