Re: Watchmen [ENDGAME]
Secrets
Jon Osterman / Dr. Manhattan
As an observer from afar, you will be watching to determine the outcome. You merely want to confirm that your foreknowledge is not impeded by anything. To test this, you will predict on Day 0 which faction will win (Civilians / Inmates / Moloch).
You may role check any dead person at Night.
You are allowing yourself one resurrection, to be used on any Night that you do not check anyone.
You cannot be Night killed, but if someone tries, the killer will discover your identity. If you are lynched, you will retreat to Mars. If your prediction proves false, you will also retreat to Mars, faced with a superhuman existential crisis.
Win Con: Presence
(Be on Earth at Endgame, with your prediction coming true. You do not share the civilian win condition.)
++++
Adrian Veidt / Ozymandias
Using his vast wealth and intellect, Veidt can manipulate many things. *Secrets*
You create puzzles for people to solve. These puzzles may contain any message you wish. You will send these puzzles through Pyramid Deliveries to your target.
Because of your super agility, you will survive the first Night kill attempt against you.
Win Con: You do not share the civilian win condition: You need Rorschach, The Comedian, and Dr. Manhattan out, plus at least half of the remaining population dead. Unlike the other Watchmen, however, you must be alive at the end to win.
++++
Edgar Jacobi / Moloch the Mystic
Inherits any kill that the Inmates no longer have.
Decides who dies in the case of ties.
Mystifies anyone who targets him with any Night action. Instead of affecting Moloch, that person will affect the first name on the tie-breaker list, then the second, then the third, and so on, in order.
Win Con: Last Man Standing. The first Civilian who targets Moloch the Mystic, however, will be hypnotized. This civilian will join Moloch in BTSC and share his win condition.

Re: Watchmen [ENDGAME]
A couple things:
1) Everyone played SUPER well. Especially Cookie, to whom I owe an apology for continually underestimating. You played off that super well.
2) All my rl concerns and times being out were 100% legit. I wouldn't fake that stuff to win.
3) I realize I've probably lost myself my next 5 games, but it was so worth it.
Linki: I knew it! I knew Ozy was sending people false info, but I couldn't figure out why. Why did you do that? And how did you figure out my recruitment power?
And Rico, Derf didn't matter. If he targeted me I'd have recruited him. And I presume you used up your NK survival, so I would have killed one and either recruited or won the lynch in a tie I decided against the other.
No civ EVER targeted me. Except whoever put me in that 4-way lynch early on, which I suppose didn't count.
Rico why do you say you were forced to target MM and DDL? Had you figured out that one was Manhattan?

Wait a second! Hey Epi, my recruitment power didn't make it onto your reveal page. It was real, right?
Oh! And I think Rico and I survived back-to-back NKs, although I wasn't notified about mine so I'm not sure. I chose not to kill last night because I knew I needed one person to vote wrong today to win, and that was easier with 4 people voting than with 3.
Rico, I guess my post saying DDL was Moloch, Ozy, or Manhattan made it pretty easy for you haha.

I get it now about Derf. Shame about DH losing, though.
I was really shocked by MM when he claimed Comedian, because I thought he was long dead; instead yes, I realized Manhattan was DDL (and shit my pants, too!), because, duh, I was Ozy.
I basically had to work the last two Days to:
a) Stay alive (Cookie burned my NK protection). Thanks for not killing me Russ. Did you target DDL?
b) Lynch MM
c) Lynch DDL
You were irrelevant, sorry. :P
Brutal, I tell you.
linki: Nope, already could tell he claimed Manhattan.

Re: Watchmen [ENDGAME]
I was at uni using the internet there because the internet here at home is terrible. Once the poll deadline close I went home so I could eat. i'm hungry as fuck and was waiting till the phase to end to have dinner.
But then my mom called and wanted to know EVERYTHING about my first semester day. Well not that there weren't interesting news.
Gratz Rico and Russ. I was right about Russ, but can't believe Rico was working against me the whole time. Thoughts in the next post.

Re: Watchmen [ENDGAME]
Facts:
- I could have chosen to side with Moloch on Day 0, but I thought that's be too crazy and too hard since I didn't know shit about the guy. I sided with the civs. Damn it.
- I actually suspected Rico for a while because it seemed to me it was being WAY too hard to make him understand what I was claiming. I should have pursued that further. Or maybe not, no idea how I could have pursued that.
- Actually, I shouldn't have claimed. That was a hge mistake from my part. I suppose Rico probably figured out I was Manhattan once I suggested I had voted Eloh because Scotty had done it too? Either way, I also tried to hint at that point. Anyway, a fact none of you know is that I was player the Inmates didn't have to kill or lynch to win the game (the only one?). So I figured out nobody else would have to either. God how I was wrong. Never forget about selective serial killers again, DDL.
- Great game Rico and Russ. You fucking earned.
- Sorry civs for my shit-tier baddie-hunting. I have to improve that.
- I still take pride in reviving Scotty, though. I think that was a great move, knowing his role, and giving civs an extra player.
- Why did the three kills fail? Was any of them directed at me?
- lol at Russ being able to recruit someone. Did he ever managed to do that, or was he just unlucky?
- Told you Moloch would have a shitload of abilities.

I really didn't get you claim until today, when it suddenly became clear you thought N5 failed kill was your bounce (it was mine) and got suspicious of active players wanting you lynched. The "baddies want me lynched" threw me off, instead of making the connection that it could have been after a failed kill.Dragon D. Luffy wrote:Facts:

Re: Watchmen [ENDGAME]
@Rico: Oh, I understood "target you with an ability".
Don't worry, this is mafia. I'm not mad at you. Well, just a little. :P
Scotty was one of the trackers (the other was MP). He tracked someone on Night 4. Then he went full tunnel on Eloh at the start of Day 5 and voted her early. I was actually asking him those questions about Elo being Moloch or BF because I didn't think Scotty would be able to track Moloch, but I didn't think Eloh could be BF. In the end, I just said "fuck it" and followed Scotty's vote.
Actually, both Scotty and MP voted very earlier, and later Scotty implied MP might have thought Eloh was BF because he tracked Eloh and got a positive result, when actually she targeted someone else. Now in hindsight, that's probably what happened to him too. So Eloh was lynched by the two trackers, and the guy who knew who one of the trackers was, all following a misinterpreted piece of info.
@Epi: I'll remember that. Again, sorry if I might have made you mad at some point because of it.

@Epi: I'll remember that. Again, sorry if I might have made you mad at some point because of it.

How about that Mafia, though?
I think Cookie actually looks the better of all, in the end, so sincere congratulations on going all the way she could. Hope her experiences here will only multiply and improve in the future.
Why did you try to kill me, though?

True story I did at least get one (incorrect) guess in the first night.Epignosis wrote:She was here at our house drinking and watching the Watchmen movie and talking a lot about boobs.Ricochet wrote:Also, I take it Ninja never got close to guessing correctly or having time to do so?
She lamented, "No one ever targets me with anything."
I shot back, "Someone targeted you tonight!"
Good times.
Good game, all!

Re: Watchmen [ENDGAME]
Ugh, the Elo debacle. Yeah, that was a mistake. It was a gambit, really, since I thought I was soon dead meat, people were finding my noncommital and floppy behavior suspicious, and I couldn't get any luck with tracking at night. N1 I track Scotty, he dies. N2, no result, I thought, 'fuck'.
Finally we had luck with Cookie the night right BEFORE I got lynched, but I was silenced and couldn't even hint about it.
Poetic justice after lynching a silenced Elo, I suppose.
For the record, the reason I was playing particularly washy was because I knew, as a tracker, I would eventually have good information. I just never got it.

Re: Watchmen [ENDGAME]
I was hoping the Elo lynch would buy me one LAST result that would hopefully be good. I agonized over that pick. So much. Eventually stuck with Cookie. And it was a good result after all!

I really didn't deserve to win this game, so I'm really glad Rico and Russ were able to. I think they really owned this game. Congrats once again, guys.

Still want to know why each one of the three night kills failed, though. The first one was aimed at Rico. What about the other two?
@MP: So you two never tracked Eloh? LOL

So what exactly is "tracking"?MovingPictures07 wrote:Ugh, the Elo debacle. Yeah, that was a mistake. Also, no tracking from you N3?
linki: It was clear to me, after your death, that your constant bad read of Cookie was most certain to be genuine tracking.
