Well I'm not lying about jack, so you're the ultimate betrayer.

Luckily for you, I believe members of this forum probably put more trust in you then in me, but for this game, they shouldn't.

Oh my, you are such a baddie. You've got to be. I'm civ, I'm not lying, you know my role, you accuse me of lying and being bad...

Like I said, even if lynched, I'm comforted that you'll be lynched shortly thereafter.
I have three options on your role:

1) You are civ and I am wrong
2) You have been recruited somehow
3) You are the trickster

Lol

It's funny, I'm constantly getting ragged on by peeps and then I'm told that I make things personal. Dom...if you're bad, cool beans I see what you're doing there. If you're good, then for real, wtf? "The way I play"...the way I play has yet to earn me a reprimand and in fact, I'm pretty sure the hosts are havin' a great time watchin' me quest!!

Who wants to go back in time and join MacD on a policy lynch? :mafia:

Linki - Lol Splints. Fair enough, but I'm tellin' you, a vote for me is a vote for a civ. A vote for Dom is a vote for a...well not a civ. Maybe not a baddie but not a civ, that's for sure.

Linki - Dom, I'm civ and you're wrong. I have not been recruited and I am NOT the Trickster.

What do you think of my SO messages, Dom?

Dom, I'm going to tell you how I know your role but you may not understand and I'm 100% sure the town won't understand...

1. I should "trust" Lorab and Dom that Mac is bad.

2. I thought Mac and Floyd were on a team, then suddenly YOU thought they were on a team.

3. Tbqh

Hahaha. You won't get that last one, but whatevs.

I'm tellin' you, I'm a detective like Batman. If nothing else, at least Long Con and Black Rock will put more trust in me in future games, methinks.

Matt- looking at the message Golden posted and knowing that you've stayed in a square for three phases, it would seem that you have become "the avatar of maligna" that is mentioned. Or am I understanding this situation wrong?

Oh, just reread, must've been confused. I thought the square was the swamp, but apparently peeps find the location of a swamp.

Anyway, I don't have any freakin' clue as to what any of that is about. It has nothing to do with me.

Golden, this message you got about the Swamp, is it North, East, South, or West on the map? Cuz Paradise Meadows is South and that's where I be.

I would add that there's also the fourth possibility that your role was baddie from the beginning and my hunch about that role is wrong.

So, 3/4 of my options lead to you being bad.

Notice how I didn't spell everything out for everyone like that until you literally outed me. Learn some tact.

So a character on a square tells you to go this magical wonderland of goodness, where if you stay there, great things will happen.

You take that on faith. Because we all know that everything that says it is good is good in mafia.

And whatever this great thing is, which you don't know what it is, it will make you so powerful that you are the most important civ in the game.

And you expect us to take all that on faith: first of all believing you, and second of all believing that the information is as straight forward as it seems.

is it possible that the SO was not entirely honest? Or that it wasn't the spirit oracle, even?

Well I never outright came out and said your role, so I think I did use a bit of tact.

You've pretty much just outed yourself with that last post, though.

That being said, do you really think my role is a baddie role? I mean, really?

Dom, if you're civ aligned, then I really don't want to lynch you. But if you help get me lynched, my last request is going to beg town to lynch you next because that means you are bad. You had knowledge of my role, and c'mon, you really think that's a bad role???

Anyway again, no reprimand, so no skin off my nose. When I get a PM telling me I've gone too far, I'll apologize.

Linki - Lorab, believe what you want. I'm here at the Meadows and it's a pretty sweet place for the good guys. Even before finding out what the awesomeness is, there are already perks just by chillin' here!

Dom - Question for you. I know you want me gone and all that good stuff, but let me ask you a question outside of myself...

If you think I'm the Trickster, then you must think Dr Wilgy was really Blinkman.

In that case, what do you make of Dr Wilgy's "Beware the Lorab" comment?

In fact, if anyone thinks I'm the Trickster, that must mean you believe Dr Wilgy was Blinkman, so what do you think of his "Beware the Lorab" comment?

Back to Lorab - I just thought of something. Let's assume you're right. Let's assume the Spirit Oracle is a big bad trick against me (which btw I really don't think it is)...how does that make me bad? That would make me a naive dumb dumb, but not bad. So I'm wondering where you are going with that line of thought. :ponder:

You know what else Lorab?

You have not even entertained the notion that I may be telling the truth. Why is that? Are you not excited for something awesome to occur if I reach my goal of chillin' for three days? Is there a reason you want to put a stop to that?

Too bad Lorab isn't on the poll today honestly. Though I think Golden has commented that he thinks she's good, we've already established that at least one person is tricking Golden so who knows.

But yeah, Lorab, are you not excited for something wonderful for the town to happen if I reach my goal? Does that not give you any hesitation whatsoever?

Linki - Speakin' about "dark times", I also know in about two or three posts in the last week, I referenced that was well. Along the lines of "I know I was told dark times are ahead but wow" or something similar. This along with my hints of my Star Gem quest...

At the VERY LEAST, you people can trust that I'm not lying about my quest. Now if you want to think I'm bad/indy with the same quest, well fine, but at the very least, know I'm not makin' this stuff up on the fly!

Yee-haw let's get a town win, civs. Don't lynch me! :ninja:

Anyway, we still have a day and a half.

Going out for food, and when I get back, plan on doing an entire reread in another game I'm in. If anyone has any questions, I will do my best to keep up, but again, out of fairness for some other hosts, I want to spend time on another game I've been neglecting for awhile.

For real peeps, I'm not a good lynch.

Also Lorab, you are so exaggerating. I said I pretty much guarantee that I'm more important then Dom and Turnip at this point because of the Meadows stuff, nowhere did I say I'd be the most powerful civ in the game.

The more you speak, the more bad I think you are. Golden - how sure are you on Lorab because I know you called her good in a previous post.

Let me check...

Of all the items, the only one that looks like it could be a poll remover is the "Vanisher Cloak". But I'm guessing based on the name.

Linki - Oh holy moley. Now you're going to say you never sent me on a quest?!

I'm sure this is true  as a host, there is nothing more fun that seeing your players ball to the best of their ability. I don't think you have been personal... the other day when you were going after me it didn't feel personal. I felt like I was being personal, though, even though I knew it was only because I had had a bad day and your suspicion of me came out of the blue at exactly the wrong time for me.

The message I got doesn't say you need to be at the swamp. It just says that after your quest is complete, the three players will know where the swamp is. I don't think the two need to be the same thing.

I see nothing in your spirit oracle message that suggests that even you should rely on the fact or feel confident in the idea that your quest will work out in favour of the civvies. If anything, I think it more likely that the spirit oracle was talking about the same quest. Why do you feel so confident your quest will benefit the civs? Is there something more?

Not someone who I have so many external factors to back up my trust that I can't doubt it.
Also not someone who I think 'There were signs I shouldn't have trusted her that I ignored'.

There are others I trust more, and others I trust less.

I didn't say it did make you bad. But you're asking for us to buy you time, because otherwise you can't complete your quest. You are the one asking not to be lynched. I'm not so sure that's the right choice. I'm also not sure that trusting the SO at face value is all that smart in a game--especially not a game with these hosts.

As always, eye me all you want. I'm not bad.

But that's a nice switcheroo there. :lorab:

From a game mechanics standpoint, the SO (assuming it's a character in a square) would have the same or a similar message to anyone, regardless of role. I don't think you got the quest because you're civ or because you earned it--I think you got it because you stumbled upon it.

Yes, I exagerrated, but I think that you exagerated the amazing thing that will happen to you that will be the result of spending 3 days in one spot--especially when we've seen evidence now that doing so is a bad idea.
Tranq wrote:@ LoRab & Matt: Can you look at that list of items and tell me if there are Trickster-type items on there? Items that look like they can take you off the poll?
The items have fairly vague names. I do know that there is a space that can potentially get you off the poll, though.

I know of a space that gets you off the poll to, but it requires some people be asked... which actually meshes with timmer starting on the poll then vanishing. Has anyone been asked if they agree to timmer being off the poll? I know I haven't.

The thing that always puzzled me about that message I had was 'which square'. It said 'stay in this square'... but the message didn't come from a specific square. Could it be any square?

It makes a lot of sense to me that these two things are two halves of the same puzzle.

Let me check...

Of all the items, the only one that looks like it could be a poll remover is the "Vanisher Cloak". But I'm guessing based on the name.

Linki - Oh holy moley. Now you're going to say you never sent me on a quest?!

:omg: :omg: :omg:

Lynch Dom, you get a bad guy. Guaraneffinteed.

Okay, out for food. Be back in a bit.
No I didn't.
You were really pushy and I gave you vague instructions.
LOL

I didn't even want to speak to you at first because I thought you were bad! Haha.

Then, you gave me specific coordinates! Haha! "Vague instructions" :haha: Let me ask you, what dastardly trap did you have waiting for me on that square?

Lynch this guy. More sure on him then anyone else in the game. And that goes for even after I'm lynched, in case I am today. Please, remember this.

Golden - No, Dom isn't the Spirit Oracle. No player is the Spirit Oracle. If you want to call anyone the Spirit Oracle, I suppose you could call Long Con the Spirit Oracle.

And again, I have NO REASON to believe I've been tricked. I know coming from me that probably isn't enough, but for real. I don't know about swamps or anonymous btsc or what have you, but Paradise Meadows is the real deal.

And again, on the off chance it isn't, how does that make me bad? Like I told Lorab, that makes me a naive dumb dumb, but not bad.

Also, notice how Lorab didn't answer my question? Notice how Dom didn't answer my question about Lorab?

I think, whatever alignment Dom turns out to be (which at this point, is def bad), then Lorab is the same alignment. Not positive on that, but just a guess.

The reason they aren't answering is because they're bad guys, they have to think of a good story. Me, I've been an open book for the last week or so, letting everyone know what I've found and I have been pretty prompt when questioned, if I may say so myself. And judging by my lack of reprimands or punishments, I'm thinkin' that it's a GOOD thing to do this. Now let's remember Lorab, when I asked her what her two answers were for the items list, refused to answer.

But yeah, let's worry about Lorab for later. Lynch Dom. "Vague instructions"...Dom, do you call specific coordinates vague instructions? :haha:

Linki - Golden - When you received your message about the swamp thingy and staying in that square, was that North, East, South, or West of the map? Again, Paradise Meadows is South. I'm being upfront and honest before you answer because I want to be as transparent as possible.

Matt - I have published the message in full. The message did not come from a particular square, not the swamp or anywhere else on the map. It came absent of any specific square, do you get what I mean? It wasn't telling the person who had it to stay in the square they found it on, because that isn't how they obtained it.

I've been to that square early in the game. The number of people needed to make that work is actually worrying me quite a bit.

What question didn't I answer, Matt?

and I strongly believe that dom is civ. I have reasons for that belief. I know you are wrong about me being bad. Although if you make a case against me other than the fact that I don't trust you and that I don't think we should believe messages from characters at face value, then I'm happy to explain my actions.

for that matter, how do either of those things make me suspish to you?

Right now, Matt > TH > Dom. Dom's failed nk has me thinking he isn't bad, and I'd still definitely take either Matt or TH over Dom.

I'll explain why I have Matt ahead at a later stage. Right now, I don't want to dictate behaviour in the specific area I find suspicious, if you get what I mean. I want to see how things play out.

Actually, it's not really your fault, per se, that I find you suspicious.

I'm going to take Dr Wilgy's word of "Beware the Lorab". Also, based on my answers to Dom on as to why I know his role, look at answer number 1. Another reason to think you two are linked somehow. As well as the fact, I do not recall and I MAY BE WRONG ON THIS, I'll have to check, but weren't you against lynching some of the Witherdeath? Or avoided lynching them at least? Again, that might not even be right, so let me ISO you in a sec to see if I'm right on that.

The question you didn't answer was how is me being a naive dumb dumb (assuming the Spirit Oracle is evil) make me bad? That was my question. You seemed to associate me being bad because I was being "tricked" by the Spirit Oracle, so I wanted to know how you came to that conclusion.

Linki - Golden :sigh:

At this point, I don't think there's anything I can do to convince you to trust me. What can I do Golden? What can I possibly do that I haven't done? Can I be completely open as to my whereabouts during the game, including my quest? Check, already did that. Can I set aside my slight distrust of you in favor of seeing how nobody is calling you out for your claims? Oh wait, check.

I don't know what else I can do.

Btw, as for Star Wars since you brought that up, I was absolutely going to side with the civs with that role, and with the exception of a single NK that I didn't even really control, I was of no harm to the civs that game. I played as a civ in that game as I would any game I am civ, so if you are using that to dictate my behavior here, then you can go ahead and switch from "Matt is probably bad" to "Matt is good".

Oh shit. Golden, I just realized. You have no idea who Dom is do you? You thought he was the Spirit Oracle?

Dude, I can think of why his NK failed and believe it or not, this theory goes back to the one I had about Bullz surviving his own teams NKs cuz he had a protect. I won't elaborate, because unlike Dom I don't want to completely give away Dom's role, but...

Dude, do you not know who Dom is?

Linki - Drac, Tranq, yes that would be wonderful if you voted TH over me. However, I'm telling you, it's almost crunch time. I know I'm civ and I know now that Dom is completely lying about everything, so he is probably a better bet.

Buuuut, and no offense Turnip, Turnip is a fine option over me as well.

I know Dom's role, because a person who is now dead told me. But the problem is not that he survived. It's who tried to kill him.

The reason I thought maybe he was the spirit oracle is all your stuff about giving instructions and stuff... I'm having a lot of trouble untangling what I think the pair of you are talking about. You were talking about dom giving you instructions, you see why I was getting confused?

Who cares who tried to kill him?

Scenario 1 off the top of my head - The team who tried to kill him didn't have anyone else to target, so they were like eff it, let's do this and save some face.

That's just off the top of my head.

But yeah, I can see why you're confused.

Let me ask you a question, Golden, do you consider specific coordinates to be "vague instructions" and if so, how do you come to that conclusion? Still waiting for Dom to answer that one :mafia:

I was suspicious of you before you started talking about the Spirit Oracle. That doesn't make you bad--but I already thought you were. My posts about the Spirit Oracle are about the fact that I don't think it's worth the risk of both you being civ and getting a huge boon for staying still for 3 days. and I'm trying to temper your excitement with a dose of possible reality.

Wigly had nothing on me. He couldn't have because I'm civ.

And i never posted about not lynching witherdeath. That was SVS.

If Dom and I agree on things, it's because we happen to agree on things. And I do believe that he is civ, so yeah, I believe he's on my team.

Lorab, just in case there is a lie detect, can you repeat that sentence about Wilgy with the correct spelling?

Lorab - If you and others get me lynched and turn up civvie, and here I've been all day telling you that Dom is a liar liar pants on fire, will you be looking at him next? Let me ask you, Lorab, do you consider specific coordinates "vague instructions", and if so, how did you come to that conclusion? Yup, still waiting for Dom to answer that one. :mafia:

SVS - Before you come in here and vote for me, I'll ask that you remember several players (including Dom) seemed to turn on you with the snap of the fingers, and I even brought up how curious that was. If you are civvie, I ask that you do not lynch me. Thank you for your time.

Linki - No. That's one of the few things I think the hosts would get mad about, so I can't name the specific coordinate. But I'm happy that you agree that specific coordinates are not "vague instructions". Dom, what do you think?

Wilgy had nothing on me. He couldn't have because I'm civ.

Not that I think the spelling will make a difference. Also, that part of the statement is likely not detectable, since the person detecting couldn't know what info Wilgy did or didn't have and he could have had information that I was civ and was trying to get me lynched if he was bad.

If you are lynched and turn up civ, I'm not sure whom I'll look at next. It will depend on what comes of this lynch discussion. Someone being wrong doesn't make them bad.

And specific coordinates as in letter and number? No, that isn't vague. Are you saying that Dom told you what square you should go to?
