Re: STAR WARS Mafia [Day 7]
Episode XIV: Utini Tiny Misunderstanding
During their time on Dagobah, the rebel forces were learning much from the Jedi Master Yoda. And the training montage in this version of the film was ever better than the one in Rocky. Though most of the rebels were not force sensitive, one baby-faced kid from Tatooine was. With the support of his allies and friends (and not by himself, because that would be stupid), Luke’s training progressed exceptionally well, and soon he was mastering not only lightsaber combat, but the subtle ways of the Force as well. For all intents and purposes, the Republic finally had a weapon at their disposal capable of matching the Sith. One day, after a particularly grueling training session, Yoda once more gathered everyone into his home. This time the old master was quite different from his usual self. His jovial nature was replaced by a heaviness, and his face sunken into shadow. The countless hours of training must have done their toll on the poor sage, for he could barely be heard as he began to speak to the assembled audience before him.
“Happy I am to be a teacher again, yes. Learned well, you all have. Hmph. Given purpose, my old bones have been, hehehe. Jedi you are not, but strong the Force is. All around us, it is. Protects you it does. Remember this for the coming battles you must.” Yoda leaned heavily on his cane and furrowed his brow as if disturbed by a great pain. His disciples, Luke in particular, rushed to his aid and were quickly shooed away.
“A disturbance in the force, I sense.” As Yoda spoke the words, even though only Luke had proven force sensitive, everyone in the room seemed to share a collective dread. “Sense it, you all do as well, yes? Hmph. No longer safe, Dagobah is. Infiltrated we have been. Go, you must.”
Luke once again approached his master, kneeling out of respect. “Master Yoda, my… our training is not complete! How can we hope to defeat Lord Vader if we aren’t fully trained in the ways of the Force? Can’t we just stop the infiltrator?”
Yoda chuckled, but it was a sickly sort of chuckle, meek and fleeting. “Fully trained in the Force even I am not, hehehe. Trained enough to know the infiltrator’s identity, I am!” With that, Yoda thrust his arm out, a wave of force energy knocking over a figure in brown robes. In response, Luke and the other Rebels surrounded the infiltrator, taking up arms against him. Before he could react to defend himself, Leia, Luke’s sister with whom he had shared a completely platonic relationship, shot her blaster straight through the hood.
