If everyone agrees to lynch Golden, Boomslang, and Matt on Day 1, do you think the hosts will let us?
I only agree to this plan if Metalmarsh is included.
Or we could just lynch Metalmarsh and be done with it.
What's a Syndicate game if I'm not lynched Day 1 and you aren't killed Night 1? :D

Linki: Not really. His statement was accurate, since no other Game of Champions Night 0 has been more lame than this one.

I was hoping if you were lynched day 1 I might survive night 1. :p

But if the "case" against me, as far I understand it, is that I "buddied up" to Tranq as a Mafia defense, why aren't you including him in this list?

Because English dictionaries are descriptive. Look up the word "literally."

Spoiler: show
literally
adverb lit·er·al·ly \ˈli-tə-rə-lē, ˈli-trə-lē, ˈli-tər-lē\
Definition of literally
Popularity: Top 1% of lookups

1
: in a literal sense or manner : actually <took the remark literally> <was literally insane>

2
: in effect : virtually <will literally turn the world upside down to combat cruelty or injustice — Norman Cousins>
Second definition. The word "literally" does not mean that at all, and yet so many people misuse the word as an intensifier that your beloved Merriam-Webster gives credence to the definition!

I will probably be voting for Boomslang for literally drowning the English language in shit. :disappoint:

Oooh...bonus points. "Literally" is an adverb. :feb:

My senior paper in linguistics was entitled "The Boomhauer Effect," which basically made that case that the purpose of language is effective communication, and that rules can be broken in informal, familiar settings (as they often are), but in formal, unfamiliar settings, one should adhere to usage that will maximize your ability to be understood by the most number of people (Linguistic Utilitarianism, heh), unless you are purposely trying to be cryptic (Like in Mafia, ha).

I got an A. :noble:

Anyway, back on topic. I'm going to add my strength to the Watari vote. First reason is sentimental: I was that guy! Second reason is practical: he's a great role. Even on the off chance that this poll does let us determine a role that gets added, I think he's a good choice.

I saw the transcript in linki and assumed it was Epi that wrote it. I didn't actually READ the thing. But I would understand him not knowing the difference. Abigail and Ephraim sound a lot alike sometimes.

My top suspect is Ricochet. But I think I suspected him early on in the last game we played together and I was wrong. I can't remember. Damn memory. I'd love to have Epi's memory, but then I might have to give up my common sense and ability to clean in exchange for it and I wouldn't want to do that. :p Haha...we had a new heating and AC unit put in today and the man putting it in was going to clean up after himself. I've won a lot of games. I've hosted some games. The end.

Well, that's blatantly wrong. Dictionary makers have gotten sloppy.
Sorry to spoil your fun, llama, but Merriam-Webster also agrees with Golden. So it goes.

Sure am glad you can determine that off of one post. Surprised you haven't retired off of lottery winnings, with psychic powers like that.

If everyone agrees to lynch Golden, Boomslang, and Matt on Day 1, do you think the hosts will let us?
But if the "case" against me, as far I understand it, is that I "buddied up" to Tranq as a Mafia defense, why aren't you including him in this list?
So I'm not wrong then. Good to know.

Me: Gee thanks for that Jac...erm...Owen. Really appreciate you stopping by.

Owen: Wow, not a problem. Anytime. Wow.
Owen Wilson is not a role in this game.

Neither is Randy Newman.

Just remember what your old pal said.

Thank goodness it wasn't Epi, otherwise you'd have to ask why he can't tell Simon and Abigail apart.
I saw the transcript in linki and assumed it was Epi that wrote it. I didn't actually READ the thing. But I would understand him not knowing the difference. Abigail and Ephraim sound a lot alike sometimes.
Epignosis wrote:My top suspect is Sorsha. I found her Ricochet comment superfluous and without adding anything to the conversation (not that the bar was set real high).
He asked Epi for a broom and Epi had no clue where it was kept.
You are so correct.

Ephraim; Abigail; yeah I'd probably get them mixed up too.

I remember both of us voting Death Star in Star Wars and then you convincing everyone to vote for me for voting Death Star in Star Wars.
