To be fair those 8 people weren't present in the thread at the time and didn't announce that they knew they still needed to vote with several minutes to spare. It's still bad they missed it, but I'll bet their excuses are better than yours.

as a side note, I've been playing a metric ton of One Night Ultimate Werewolf with my coworkers recently and I've found that a) I'm almost always a werewolf and b) I almost never win because people assume as such.

But that's okay, because I live for these types of games.

I just noticed "I'll bet their excuses are better than yours" and thought "Wow Bullz is really taking it to SVS". Either you're sour or you're bad. Why else claim that "you bet" eight different players have "better excuses" then SVS without yet hearing one of those excuses?

Trying to jump on the SVS train, methinks, for whatever reason.

Stay determined mate. I only won 1 of my first 13 (I think) games on this site. MP had a similar losing streak.

Hell, I've played every full game on this site since I joined over 2 years ago, and I've not won a single one as a civilian, except for Cars where I subbed in very late for a rezzed civilian.

OR: Get this, I think "I wasn't at my PC/forgot/couldn't get online for whatever reason" is a better reason to miss a vote than "I was literally posting in the thread within minutes of the deadline and didn't vote despite having a top suspect for a large part of the day". I don't think my comment toward SVS was particularly strongly worded. It wasn't intended as such.

I still think it's lame to miss the vote no matter what but I can't remember ever seeing anyone miss a vote while posting in the thread after having mentioned they intended to vote and knew the deadline was fast approaching.

I'm kind of the reverse. I've won a fair few games as a civ, but the only game I won as a baddie and was still alive at the end was The Flash, and I died Night 1 then got rezzed right before endgame. :noble:

Linki: Yeah, I don't think it's suspicious that SVS missed the vote. It's not like she had been gunning for any of the top contenders but "accidentally" forgot to vote one of them. I don't see any advantage to her missing that one.

I know I've seen it before. It's rare, sure.

Why is this still a topic of conversation is what I want to know. SVS is one of those people who would never skip a lynch-vote on purpose. Is there something else I'm missing about it?

Are you guys sure about that? She might have broken her meta and is trying a new strategy. Just because it´s traditional to do something doesn´t make it true.

Rubs me the wrong way that you don´t consider that option.

Regardless, I think Nero should be lynched on grounds that he's my partner, your partner, Enrique's partner, the Joker, the Riddler, the Gingerbread Man, and Toto.

SVS is an admin on this board and has been playing Mafia for at least 6 years (that I know of, possibly more). I doubt she would purposely miss a vote because she was afraid of what her vote may look like. If anyone who knows SVS better then I do disagrees, speak up.

Well, it's bad form to miss votes here, and even punishable depending on the Host(s).

I realize there is a role that can block a vote, but it is Day 1, so wouldn't take effect yet.

Any combination of three night actions/votes earns a modkill. There is a possibility that someone would do it on purpose without getting punished.

I understand your viewpoint and I guess SVS probably didn´t do it on purpose, but dont deny that there is a possibility.

Im going to eat dinner and watch some TV. See you guys

SVS of all people is very forthcoming with her mistakes and is pretty hobest in my limited experience playing with her, even when she's bad. I also don't think she purposely missed the vote.

This didn't make sense then and it doesnt make any more sense now and was a good point by Dom.

I decided not to vote Wilgy this time because his game seems different than the beginning of GOC where he was bad and i don't have time to read him in Recruitment or Pikmin where he was good. If he doesnt get lynched this round I will look at this tomorrow.

lots and lots of linki
Yo juliets, you've posted twice in this cycle since you wrote this. Wilgy wasn't lynched. Have you been "looking at this", and what exactly does "looking at this" mean? Because I can look at a Jackson Pollock for hours and I still won't know what it means to me.

Also, your entire basis of voting for me seems well thought out at a glance, but you're just rehashing what Dom said. And again, like a broken record, a no-poster is an outlier to my rule of not voting new players. If lovedelic had shown up, I would not have voted for a new player in Equiv. I feel like I don't need concrete info to vote for a no-show. No other case was jumping out at me, even though MP was pinging me.

Question to my voters yesterday (Dom, Mac, juliets, and DFaraday):
How likely are you to vote for me again tomorrow at this point in time?
Hypothetically if you don't vote for me, who would your vote go to right now?

No, I am not the Penguin. I'm also not capable of time travel and could not receive my Night 1 PM in advance of everyone else if in fact I was the Penguin.

Yes, actually. You're smart. I was wondering how that worked :p

First, I haven't looked into Wilgy yet because I haven't had time and really meant tomorrow as game day tomorrow which starts tomorrow. I am not one that does a lot of night posting.

Second, my base of voting you was well thought out. Just because someone else brought up the points does not mean I didn't think it through. I tried looking at other people but I decided in the end you were still the most suspicious. I worked hard to make sure I was voting the right person. I understand what you are saying about a no show but I'm not sure you understand what I'm saying. The biggest issue I had with your vote is you did not vote for the person who was pinging you, instead you voted for someone who had said nothing. I don't think we are ever really going to agree on this issue though, and I don't want to get into a round n round. I don't know who I'm going to vote for tomorrow to answer your other question. There is plenty of time for things to happen to shape my vote.

Sorry, I see I didn't answer one of your questions. "Looking at this" means looking at some games where Dr. Wilgy is good. I already have looked at a game where he was bad.

DharmaHelper wrote:Here are my thoughts on the locations:

Arkham Asylum - The scene of the crime, likely to contain several clues and trails to follow.

Wayne Manor - Bruce Wayne's residence and the secret location of the Batcave, Batman's sactum sanctorum. Likely to contain information on Gotham's underground and it's various criminal elements. Batman tends to keep detailed notes on these sorts of things.

Wayne Enterprises - Gotham's version of Microsoft. Probably contains gadgets, gear, tools, etc from "WayneTech".

Fish Mooney's - Probably a good place to go looking for crooks on the lamb.

The Docks - Another good source for gear, although of a distinctly more illicit flavor.

Gotham City Police Department - Not sure what would be found here, apart from maybe evidence in lockup.

City Hall - Criminals with white collars. Again, not sure what would be gained from here.

Park Row - Crime alley, probably the first place many of the escapees would flock to.

Blackgate Penitentiary - Muggle Prison. Difficult to say if the inmates or the guards like it better.

Gotham City General Hospital - Pretty good place to go if you're a wounded escapee and also an idiot. Not likely to be useful at this early stage.

I'm leaning towards going to Mooneys. Always a good idea to keep one's ear to the ground.
Why these places, DH?

Nevermind, bold is difficult to see on my monitor.

Fish Mooney's club is basically a speakeasy/hangout for gangsters and shit in the show Gotham. The sort of place with the ties and capability to both keep criminals safe from the law, but also a place that provides a sort of insight to the law in terms of the underbelly and its goings-on.

Park Row is literally called "Crime Alley".

Park Row is the location of the Wayne Murders, and it is also where Leslie Thompkin's clinic is located.

scribbles down "Crime Alley"

What specific roles in this game connect to those locations?

Welcome sabie!
Just about every role in the game I could connect to Crime Alley in some fashion. Fish Mooney's is more difficult to say. It looks like LC/Epi drew from Gotham the TV series when they added that location in. Bullock is a love interest of Fish's, Fish is a rival of The Penguin, Falcone, and Maroni.

Is this your reason for going, or does it have more to do with your original post? You didn't hesitate; first vote in with no explanation until I asked that. Did you know throughout Day 1 where you were going next?

I knew I'd be going as soon as I saw in the poll that nobody had gone previous.

I checked the poll sometime after the end of Day 1, to see where nobody had gone previously.

I'm going to go to Arkham Alsylum and see what's going on. Figure I can get some clues and find out what's been happening.
