I think it was an Epi game where the serial killer started off vanilla and started killing after a team was gone.

Which role would be the serial killer here, do you think? I'm not sure I see it likely that this mechanic is in play here. I guess you never know for sure.Dom wrote:I think it was an Epi game where the serial killer started off vanilla and started killing after a team was gone.

Riddle Me This
He’s best friends with a tinman
And a lion with giant paws
If you were to shake his hand
You’d be clutching at some straws

No one has been killed. It is now Day 11. You have 48 hours to lynch someone.

Re: Arkham Mafia [Night 10]
Ok, it's time for me to pack up the computer. I will try to get online tomorrow evening before the lynch closes but it all depends on what i find when I get there. So, this may be my last chance to talk to you before you vote. I have tried to impress on everyone that it does not make sense for me to be the scarecrow and I am putting my mafia integrity on the line when I tell you that is not my role. If it were, you would be able to say from here on out "yeah yeah, you told us those lies before in Arkham" and Typhoony would never let me forget it in IRC. So believe me when I tell you it is not me. And believe me when I tell you it is not in your best interest to vote for me.
Yay, no death.
Yay, no death.

Sometimes it will naturally come out, but it can be contained if we just remember that this is a game on a message board forum that 99.99% of the population of the Earth has never heard of before. No matter how successful anyone is, it means just about nothing.

Yay for no death!!!
Not sure if there is any inner meaning to that night post, but I'm not going to spend too much effort thinking about it.
So...Falcone...my gut is telling me Enrique. Mainly because he came in day 10 to encourage us all to vote scarecrow. This would be a great move for the teammate of Bubbles, who was a likely lynch victim from the outset. A great way to move the lynch direction elsewhere without having to actually defend a teammate.

As for what we should do this phase, I'd rather look for Scarecrow first but if town just wants to get on with it, whatever I guess. I don't suppose there's any way MP would request a mod kill on himself?

I don't mind going after Scarecrow - but I think we need to be realistic and agree to not spend too many days on it. And also recognise we might lynch someone for being Scarecrow and then they actually turn out to be Falcone.

Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 11]
Yay for no death. Boo that someone was Scarecrowed.
Do the Scarecrowed people feel comfortable saying which role they are scarecrowed for?
If possible I would rather free up peoples win conditions with a Scarecrow lynch.
I had a thought (that actually woke me up last night, I am so pathetic) but I have to pull some quotes and have to run out the door, so I will do it later.
If anyone has any other thought, now might be a good time to bring your craziest conspiracy theories to the table becasue I think we're talked ourselves into a corner.

Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 11]
OK this rules out Juliets completely for me.
She has probably been reading the thread closer than anyone. At least one suggestion came up for an easy Scarecrow condition, plus I am sure the hosts will take a PM saying someone is choosing not to target anyone. Juliets, imo, would not have used the role of a known living player had she been the SC and targeted someone last night.
I would not put it past any of the rest of us, though, lol. But it does not look like a Juliets move to me.

Yeah, seems end of game happens when all GCPD or mafia are gone, regardless of who else has won/lost win cons. Pretty typical of Epi I'd say, starting with when he hosted GoC '14.DharmaHelper wrote:An important distinction even I overlooked

Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 11]
Personally I don't think the Scarecrow would do that. It would be super inefficient and the game is gonna end at any moment, he has to focus on having his win conditions met before he dies or the game ends.
It's kinda funny, though, now that I think about it. Asking people to kill MP seems like a bit of an oversight, doesn't it? He would want to keep the toxin'd players around, right?

Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 11]
Sure Dom, tell me.
Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 11]
I'm reminded of the cross-checking idea that in the end no one actually did, but looking back I'm not sure it's that good. Scarecrow wins when half the living players at endgame are toxin'd, why would he try to get them lynched? I understand it's sort of a chaotic role to manipulate people, but I think the best use of the role would be to target players you think will survive and push them to the endgame.
So if he's asking people to kill MP he's either really confident that MP won't die, or making a sloppy move that could cost him the game. Especially since there's no team that needs Robin dead for endgame.

OK, this is the exchange that has been bothering me.
Then he happily embraces the Scarecrow lying as a wifom-y excuse for his own defense.
Am I clutching at straws, lol?
Here he thinks it an odd thought that Scarecrow would lie^^ In his reply to me, there was no mention of the lying bit, which was the entire intention of the conversation. And he makes a point of saying he would have targeted me. The post right after this he says, "And Typhoony too".Golden wrote:You not being targetted is interesting.
