My questions were not entirely about Quin. A 13 vote train is a plurality voting game is very surprising to me.

If I come on and see a 5+ vote train on someone who is not a high ranking suspect in my book, I don't vote for him. I don't vote when I'm not caught up unless my vote will be the deciding vote and I think I can save a townie, even with my limited understanding. I probably don't even vote in a 5+ ahead train for a player I do find suspicious cause what's the point?

So it's not just Quin's vote I don't understand. It's like 2/3rds of the votes.

Quin's not your top suspect. Eloh is. But I don't disagree with you on Eloh and in fact have further reasons to suspect her. I don't feel the need to nod my head.

Why am I focusing on Quin to the point where you think I'm misrepresenting? Cause I disagree with your assessment of his behavior Day 3 and you continually make posts that imply you don't know why you were lynched. "Baddies cooked my goose." Pff. I got you lynched. I laid out the argument. You haven't addressed it once, yet you keep saying the town sucks and scum killed you off. Makes it look like you're full of shit and just mad you got lynched as town. So if I'm wrong, tell me why you really got lynched. Or admit you don't know and stop talking about it.

As for Quin, he voted DDL when 13 of 20 votes were on you. You say if he was a real townie, he should have tried to sway the lynch away from you. That's literally impossible. If Quin was Jesus Christ himself and sent the mafia Holy Spirit into all the players and convinced them beyond a shadow of a doubt that you were town....you would have still been lynched.
It's fake indignation. Sorry not sorry, Quin is bad.
Jackofhearts2005 wrote:And when someone doesn't post for 5 days in a row, they don't get to call other people out for not waiting on them.

Take responsibility for your actions. As long as you're wearing that martyr hat, your reads will be twisted.
I get to do wahtever the hell I want.
You are talking about one day phase that I was absent for. Not many periods of time. One day phase that was extended. No one gave a shit to listen to me on teh issue and that shows how willing the civvies are to lose this pot roast.

I asked for summaries. None were given. I do not have the tiem or energy to read back from page 24 to page 50-something. I don't and won't.
That's not unusual and the fact that I'm being judged for it is unreal. I have seen people refuse to catch up on a 5 page catch up. When I arrived back in teh game, I had Elo running around already campaigning for my lynch again-- twisting anything and everything I said (or didn't) into soemthing negative.

Tell me how you play the game now, O Holy One.
Elohcin wrote:Please point out where I said you were definitely bad, Dom.

Golden is acting strange this game. His tone, his attitude, etc is all off, imo. I would never think he would be one to come in, read the last 5 posts or so and comment on those but start reading from where he left off.

Dom is accusing me of doing the same thing when that is not what I do. I do not come in, read the last 5 most recent posts, and the comment. I start from where I left off and then post/comment before I have to go again. I can usually read everything and catch up. Sometimes, I cannot. Sometimes I have to post and then catch up more later and post again. This is NOT the same thing I referred to when talking to Goldren.

Dom seems a bit irrational since he has come back. He doesn't seem to be reading and understanding before flying off the handle.

Golden seems irrational too.

Dom and Golden are my top two suspects.
You repeatedly asked how you could vote for me since I wasn't on the poll (but Marco was). Sounds like you wanted to vote me. Do you not think the people you vote for are bad? (You don't because you are bad).

I have read the thread since DFaraday's post saying I was replacing in. I have said this several times. I have also said, several times, that I wont' read on all the pages I missed. If you aren't going to read my posts, Eloh, please don't pretend to be outraged when other people seem not to read yours.

I'd lynch zebra over Elohcin. Zebra got off to an active start this game, but has cooled off.

@Dom

So I'm gonna take your non response to mean "I still have no idea why I was lynched and I'm just making up shit on the fly cause it's easier than admitting that I don't know what's going on."

Let me recap a bit to help you out. Here's a recent exchange.

Dom: Quin is bad cause of how he reacted to my lynch train on Day 3.

Jack: What would you have done in his place as a townie?

Dom: A real townie would have tried to not get me lynched.

Jack: That would have been mathematically impossible.

Dom: Yeah, well, Quin is bad anyway.

Why is 'strange' bad? But yes, I always start with recent posts and then go back and catch up later. It's just usually less noticeable because I usually have more time. There's more value in me commenting on the now than the five days ago.

I'm on holiday with my extended family, with only a phone that I'm trying to avoid (so I'm not antisocial) for checking this game. Frankly, I'm glad that I'm town so that I don't feel obliged to be absolutely caught up and acting tactically.

I listed off people who were/are playing, but flying under the radar at the same time. I'd also throw in LC.

In other news we only have like 14 players left, We are down at best 4 civs, at worst 10. So we really need to buckle down and agree on a vote this phase.

When you and Spirityo were on the chopping block, was there a reason you didn't tell us you were lynch immune?

Under the radar with second-most posts in the game, and what the hell, Epi, when did THAT happen?

I think I was more on the radar a couple of days ago, and that my participation has dropped off a little, temporarily, due to things like New Years. I have no intention of being off the radar. I am here.

I didn't realize that I was allowed to tell with the no infodropping rule, and I didn't NEED to tell... I was comfortable in the fact that I was safe. Actually, I was operating under the assumption that the second-most votes would be lynched, so to me, sprityo was going down either way. Only after his role was revealed, I started to question whether or not the vote was tied at all, and asked the Host some things, and found out that if I had been lynched, there would have just been a no-lynch, and therefore the theory of "no other Troupe members voted LC" was sound.

I was most concerned that this theory might have been flawed, that I had had more votes than sprit, and he still went down. If that had been the case, then I could have let folks know that there WAS a Troupe member, etc... either way, the Powder-Faced Woman provided us with some great info. One would think that team could have planned that better, but I guess...

... wait, does that mean that the Troupe voted earlier? Or didn't vote at all? Why would they allow sprityo to make the final vote, given his role? Why wouldn't they get another member of the team to put together that Hail Mary of a vote-tie?

Why are you acting so strange about this? I can hunt two teams, but seeing how one tried to kill me it means I'm on their hit list. Plus I'm not having much luck with the other team my final guess for a member/members would be Quin/LC, but I don't really have any proof for that.

Question for everyone, how does Sorsha usually play when she is mafia? I seem to recall that she lurks more, but I'm not 100% sure on this.

I understand you wanting to spend time with family and not be a jerk on your phone the whole time. However, if you are civ like you say, the underlined statement deserves am Oh, gee, thanks from me and our fellow civs.

That's a mighty fine group of people right there. :nicenod:

Wilgy's dead, and I don't know if there's much live content to work with there.

I'd lynch zebra over Elohcin. Zebra got off to an active start this game, but has cooled off.

What do you think about these four sig?
:suspish:

Oops? It makes sense why he hasn't been posting then doesn't it.
I listed off people who were/are playing, but flying under the radar at the same time. I'd also throw in LC.

In other news we only have like 14 players left, We are down at best 4 civs, at worst 10. So we really need to buckle down and agree on a vote this phase.
How am I flying under the radar?
Banners are cool, but a pain to scroll through so...
I've won a lot of games. I've hosted some games. The end.

You don't base your game on the sure and easy knowledge that knowing who 100% of the dead players are, you have to just keep rooting to find all the bad guys until they're dead. At some point, we will probably be informed that one of the Mafia teams have been eliminated, and that will give us a bit more insight (unless we lynched all four of them.
Jackofhearts2005 wrote:@LC

What do you think of Epi in light of yesterday's lynch?
I don't feel too bad about him. If Eloh turns out to be bad, that will look a lot worse on him. I think he has explained himself quite fully each step of the way.
Do you agree with Quin that bulletproof roles wouldn't be secrets?
No, I do not. I could easily see bulletproof-ness being a secret. However, I do doubt that any of the secrets are that the role is permanently unable to be nightkilled. Maybe Kit Snicket. Actually, after writing that, I could see either of the Godfathers being unkillable. You just have to lynch them. Probably not Esme Squalor though - she has limited lynch-protection, so perhaps it would be balanced to make Olaf have some equally-limited nightkill protection.
My concern at this point is that Sig flat out bussed his teammate, Glor, knowing he'd be replaced and people would defend whoever replaced Glor cause Glor did have good reason to asked to be replaced.

This is the ideal bus scenario. Take out a potential liability (double voting or lack thereof confirming scum is or isn't on specific trains and whoever replaces in may be behind) to gain town cred that is especially important if you're already bulletproof.

Reasons to not believe this are that the lynch did confirm several players as not Troupe and we know there is a townie that could have easily grabbed a mafia member on Night 1 and then gained cred enough to get a vest from his sister. That is, Sig didn't necessarily need a good argument to get Glor killed if he was Klaus and a close lynch train allows his to semi confirm other townies or catch other goons by going after a situational scum double voter.

So for players who know Sig's meta, do either the "Olaf bussing and secretly bulletproof" or the "Klaus setting a trap for the Troupe and getting a vest present" ideas ring true? More true than Sig just being zeroed into Glor's meta/lucking out?
Why would I bus someone if they could get out of a lynch? It doesn't make much sense. Also who says I'm bulletproof? Maybe I was protected, maybe I had an item, maybe I'm already dead? :p
I think there are a good amount of scenarios to explain my survival.

linki: From my perspective, also true you aren't as much as the others as of now. However, you seemed to earlier in the game, I will chalk that up as real life though so your not a top suspect from that perspective.

Also I read over Sorsha I don't see much from her, one way or another. I see the logic behind her first vote, for DDL, however she just very blindly went along with my Dom lynch. She is null atm.

Okay here is two tin foil theories for the price of one.

Sprityo was on the same team as LC, which is why he didn't vote for him until the very end and the lynch proof thing isn't real.

number 2, which I think is more realistic. Jack is on Esme's team and attempted to NK me since they thought I was on Olaf's team. however, this failed so they're low key trying to push my lynch now.

I'm going to look into Jack, after I look at Zebra and Daisy.

Eloh, that's epis argument - 'some civ you are'.

But that's fundamentally incorrect. You can correctly find baddies without reading every post (the civilians fundamental duty) and it's hardly as though - no offence to anyone meant - the town is doing amazingly well despite some very strong contributors. I've made some good contributions to this game but people aren't seeing the game the same way I am necessarily so it's hard to quantify my contribution when my suspects aren't getting lynched.

On the other hand, a baddies primary duty is to not get lynched and this requires doing nothing unusual. The very fact you find me strange is what should tip you off that I'm civ rather than bad (I know some baddies do strange things - not me though)

But all in all, if people want to criticise my choice to have a holiday rather than play this game intensely this is - as I said to epi yesterday - like saying 'because of your schedule you are bad'. The fact I'm on holiday with my family has no bearing on my role card. The fact I'm choosing to spend the holiday with them instead of you does!

It's healthy for us to both have some tinfoils and it would be good for you to look into me.

But I'm not pushing for your lynch anytime soon, even if a few players came in saying you were known for bussing. After all, you've survived a mafia kill from one scum team and lead a lynch against the other.

Not sure what to think when I ask meta questions and get no answers. It would be much more useful to hear "Sig never/often busses teammates" than actually argue why you would or wouldn't do a thing based on logic. I don't need your defense cause I'm not really accusing you.

Suppose a townie sees what they think is a 13 vote train on a fellow townie. What is the proper action to take?

Should they vote for the townie, elsewhere or nowhere?
If they think someone is a townie then they should not vote for them and actively try and flip those votes.
Not just tell that townie at the end that they are that townie's "friend".

I literally posted in this game that I was ill again. I gave my reason for not being here. I don't have the time or energy to read from page 24 onward. That's the point where I had last read. So, now, seeing people say that they were my "friend" etc... yeah that rings rather false to me. If Quin actively defended me, can you point me out to where? I don't think he did. I think he washed his hands of my blood by conveniently voting elsewhere. My goose was cooked by evil people. Remember that.
I never said I thought you were town. You said it yourself, you weren't here to defend yourself, so how do you expect me to form a civ read on you and go out of my way to defend you for that?

I suspected DDL, not you. I voted DDL, not you. You were almost completely irrelevant to my thought process during that day.
That is not why I suspect you.
This is why jackofhearts wants people to think I suspect you.

I despised the way he tried to be my "friend" at the end of day. I have repeated myself several times on this. You are the one making it about Quin's vote. Don't sip tea while you misrepresent my suspicion.
If this is your beef, then I don't know what to tell you. It was quite blatantly a joke.
And those candy jokes matter.
Why do they matter? Was I buddying a dead guy?
You were buttering up a mindless herd of civs to the idea that you had nothing to do with the mislynch of the LD.
