EBWOP:

I always make lure people over to my house for eggs whenever they go through a breakup.

What do you like to eat when you are going through a breakup/went through a breakup?

That only happened a few times when I was a teenager, and during that time, I ate whatever regardless of the circumstances.

Chocolate, if it is a dessert I probably like the chocolate version most.

I am not a super duper chocolate fan, but I really like chocolate cherries and that flavor in general.

Why do some people think this is acceptable behavior: playing ska-punk at insane levels while a person is trying to recharge one's batteries in a bubble bath?

I'm not sure why someone would think that is an acceptable behavior, I often have similar questions and I think the answer is generally that they just don't realize/think/care about how intrusive/annoying they are to other people.

If you could temporarily banish those people to the moon, would you?

YES! He is really getting on my nerves today. He just asked me for the zillionth time which kind of teas have caffeine and which don't. For the record, we have this information taped inside our tea holding cabinet, so I don't know why he is being completely stupid. He went in and got in my leftover hot bathwater and turned the music off. HATE

Anyway!

How do you like to recharge your batteries?

Who is this person in the above paragraph and why is he in your leftover bathwater and you have a tea holding cabinet?

I have a tea chest but then I also have a little cabinet above the microwave (so above the stove) where we keep a lot of the tins of loose stuff. The person referenced above is my spouse, who is usually not so inconsiderate. I can still hear him splashing away in what was supposed to be my bath. I'm considering putting Holst's The Planets: Mars on because it makes him very anxious.

What are you planning on having tomorrow for breakfast?

I know you will probably agree with me on this one -- saying literally when they mean figuratively or metaphorically. Chris Trager does it on Parks & Rec, but because it's such hyperbole, it's really funny. Also "could of" instead of "could have" - this mistake was rampant in House of Leaves and it really distracted me because the author was obviously an otherwise well-read dude.

"My head literally exploded when she told me that."
"Is that so?"
:evileye:

Incidentally, James Joyce intentionally misuses the word "literally" in his short story "The Dead" (first line).

I am pretty frugal so I don't really make thoughtless purchases often. Usually, it's not getting my "Usual" at restaurants when I am lured by the special and I'm always sad about it. I love the status quo and pretty much the most resistant person to change ever. :/

Have you ever taken a MOOG, such as one on Coursera? I'm doing one on Archaeology right now on Coursera. I also took a film class on there and an Intermediate Programming class.

I usually get a Greek salad, but I also often get Spanokopita. The ones around here also have Vegetarian Moussaka, so I will get that once in awhile, but the bechamel is a little rich for me. I also enjoy veggie pitas or falafel, but I get them less often than I get the salad. I love that it has potato salad in it.

What kinds of things do you like to get at the Syrian places? We have Ethiopian here, but that's as "exotic" as we have.

There just happens to be an awesome little Syrian place near me. The lamb shawarma is TO DIE FOR. It is seriously the best thing ever, warm with tahini and just makes me want more and I start drooling every time I think about it >_> Also the meat pie appetizers are good (there are spinach and feta ones too for your veggie tastes), and the rosewater pudding for dessert is SO GOOD mmmm. I've also been to a couple Lebanese restaurants, pretty similar.

I like any kind of semifreddo. Tiramisu is always good, but my favorite is more a less a lemon version of it -- Limoncello. Yum! We have a Turkish place I like a lot, and it's probably my second fave cuisine. I also like fruit tarts that you can find in French and Italian places. I had a plum-peach crostata not too long ago and it was nice.

My coworkers are coming to my party. I'll probably beat hell out of them. And throw up on their shoes. And I love the people I work with.

I so wish you could be here though. We really like you. You'd get a double dose in your shoes.

Would you believe one of my fellow English teachers is half Polish, half Dominican, and loves Mint Juleps like me made with Wild Turkey?

Aww that is SO NICE! I am quite good at parties because I can talk to the wallflowers really well as well as people I don't know. If properly lubricated, I can show you my Charlie Brown dance. I am cringing just thinking about the Christmas party and the 'ballet" I did with my friend there. Gonna look for photos.

That is amazing! I do believe it but it is very interesting.

Why do you all have to live so far away?

Stupid sexy Earth.

Did you know that my son is relieved that you're not actually a mongoose?

OH! I am glad to relieve him then! If it makes him feel any better, I got the name on the soccer field my first year of college. I don't think I would enjoy eating insects. Although I do love watching a mongoose take down a cobra or a mamba.

Have you ever eaten a bug?

Me and my brother apparently used to eat ants when we were little. Also yes if you count the ones that go up my nose and don't come back out.

What should I use these cool birthday chopsticks for first?

Hmm, I always like a good noodle. Got an yaki-udon or yaki-soba coming your way soon?

Do you like Boba?

Picking the dead ants out of your nose?

Addendum: No idea what Boba is. If it's that tea yalzz waz talkin about, then probably not.

What liquor would you want at a party?
