I don't know yet. I think LCs story sounds plausible. My initial reaction to that whole thing was that Dizzy jumped on it too quickly. But her backpedal was done gracefully, and it made her look better to me, not worse. That has pretty much dominated the thread as far as suspicions go. Timmers vote, especially after his, "well it's for the lulz" explanation when that is not what he said last night got my eye a bit, but nothing I am ready to vote based on at this time.

Rico and Wilgy appear to be playing for the troll value. Epi is Epi, but I like his vote for Dizzy better than I like Timmers. I think DH would be more intense if he was bad. Sloonei is more laid back than I am used to seeing him.

Other wise I have not seen enough of anyone else to have a negative opinion. I don't like to "scum hunt" and try to find suspicions just for the sake of finding suspicions. That just always seemed like a hecking ass backwards way to play. When I find something you will be the first to know.

Is this why you suspect me; lack of concrete opinions less than halfway into Day One? Shall I go back in the thread and give you a list of the other people with no concrete opinions?

Now be a good doggo and give me something I can work with.

You need to describe it if you want to work together with people. If you don't want that that's your choice. But you leave a lot to be desired for me to understand where you are coming from.

I will ask everyone: What do you all think about what you gather Epi's theory is?

Good thing you didn't play Economics Mafia.

S~V~S wrote: Tue Jun 13, 2017 10:16 am I used to think they were just a way for people to weasel out of answering questions in a coherent way, or to have the appearance of a lot of posts without having any actual content (until I saw G Man iso the entire player list in Haiku or Limericks, some kind of poetry in a non poetry themed game) but in my experience, baddies seldom actually do that kind of thing becasue it draws too much attention to them.
You remembered! :hugs: It was haiku, which inspired Haiku Mafia. That was a most excellent round of shenanigans if I do say so myself.

Right now I see a bunch of people jawing at each other. Rather than break out my own jump-to-conclusions mat, I'll vote for the game's only no-show. I may or may not keep it there.

I am confused by this.

If you think he actually IS an LMS role, then he would not have baddie teammates. So why are you voting for Dizzy?
At this point, mostly for the lulz. If nothing else happens I'll more likely vote for LC.

I'm all caught up. I do not like the way Dyslexicon went into hyper defense mode at the first hint of pressure from Epi. It reminds me of myself in Watchmen.

I was out all weekend, worked all day yesterday, and will be working all night again tonight. I'll be a quiet person for most of this phase, unfortunately.

Is early, yes. Dog chases early bird. Dog does not expect to catch bird. But dog still chases.

Sees female SVS human talk. But human says same things as other human. Says Poppy man annoys. Is true. Poppy man does annoy. Too true, Poppy is bad. Does not deserve words. Not so many words. Other words from female SVS human are same as other human.

Same words is no words. Human pretend with same words, repeats like learning puppy. Does not say things that might make human be bad, like bad dog. Says safe things, not unsafe things. Makes dog nose twitch.

Other humans say same things too. Dog smell SVS first. Dog points with nose. Waits for master's approval.

Hyper defense mode? Really? I don't think I've been defensive at all. It turns out I made a joke I forgot about that I cleared up. Otherwise I've been focusing my actual energy into questioning Timmer and being impatient for players to join the fun.

What do I have to do with one of your scum games? I've had both town and scum games on this site, and you've been present at least for one town one.

This puzzles me a lot.

LC's LMS slip indicates to me that he's not scum. It is least likely that he'd misunderstand a rolecard that says "You are mafia, and your teammates are A & B." He could be a true LMS role, but this is a Heist, we can only have 3 non-vanilla roles. Would INH use one of those 3 slots on a LMS rogue? Genuinely asking.

I'm reading LC as town. Dizzy as an early suspect. Wilgy also made an early post in which he asked who or what we were hunting this game. I wanted to follow up on that.

Yes. Your responses to Epi seemed to scream "Don't look at me! I don't like this!". It is similar to how I responded to early pressure in my one and only scum game on this site. You are not me, but it's something I'm taking note of here on Day 1.

What have you got out of your questioning of timmer?
Huh. I will be interested in hearing other people's perspective on this, since I am me and can't see myself from the outside. I'm not a player who's shy, I've played a hundred mafia games and am not afraid of "pressure" as town or scum, though I tend to blend more as scum. I can be intense and vocal for sure. Additionally, with Epi specifically I think we have quite different thought processes, which is something I've noted in the past. I've wanted to understand where he was coming from, and would actually like to hear more from him.

I don't particularly like your "something I'm taking note of here on Day 1". It's similar to Timmer's "good enough for Day 1". I think it's a cop-out.

What I got from Timmer was that I had a hard time follow his thought process of how LC was guilty based on his LMS comment (something you also contest). I also don't like what seems to be disinterest in going deeper into the situation to understand it or exploring other possibilities. Refering here to both the comment about that he will probably vote LC later, and the general standoffish "you know what I mean" vibe. I don't know Timmer as a player. That said I'm suspicious here. I'm also waiting to see more.

And you've caught my interest with this.

Most players have not made an impression so far, but I think there's still plenty of time before day ends.

Just because. They sound legit. I buy LC's story about assuming LMS with a vanilla role. Your assessment of that makes sense as well. He could be an actually LMS role, but that seems much less likely.

And I suppose I've been misguided in reading Dys before, but I'm really only getting genuine town vibes so far. Except I'm pretty baffled by her strong desire to lynch llama (which rico seems to agree with inexplicably). Why lynch llama, what's the reasoning?

It's "something I'm taking note of on Day 1" because Day 1 reads are generally just preliminary. I do not have a fully formed read on you or anyone else, but this is a thing I've observed which may indicate scumminess on your part. It is not a cop out. I am embracing and pursuing it as an avenue for questioning right now.

I do not have a fully formed read on you or anyone else, but this is a thing I've observed which may indicate scumminess on your part. It is not a cop out. I am embracing and pursuing it as an avenue for questioning right now.
Fair enough. And to be semi-hypocritic, the wording of it is just of note for me too, since Timmer mentioned the same. My point is more I don't personally agree with a "oh well, good enough for D1"-attitude (but I get from this post that was not your intention). I of course understand that D1 reads are preliminary.
What does this mean?
Just that our dynamic is very different from how I remember it in the past, don't think I've ever gotten much suspicion from you, so I need a new map to read that and the intentions. I don't see how me getting into discussions with people and drawing attention would suggest scum for me, but you said it came across hyper defensive. So I guess I'll wait for others perspectives if they are offered, cause I can't see it myself.

And really, everyone is of interest to me.

The question re: rico is, how much of a distraction is he being? I am okay with lynching sufficiently distracting players, as it improves the efficiency of future play.

I'm going to place a vote on Epignosis.

a) because he's sketchy and/or hypocritical regarding making deals. Compare, if you will:
Epignosis wrote:Sun Jun 11, 2017 7:24 pm
Long Con wrote:Sun Jun 11, 2017 5:53 pm How about some sort of alliance, or perhaps a mutual non-voting clause until Final... Five?
Works for me.
^^ That's what he said when I PMed him.
Epignosis wrote: Mon Jun 12, 2017 10:50 pm...LC tried to get me in a deal with not voting for him, and that's fine if he believes this is a last man standing game, which I hope it is not, because those are not fucking Mafia games, and they should stop calling them Mafia, but my role gives me the slim hope that there are mafia to find, and I'm not interested in making vague deals with people, especially if those people make them with everybody and their brother and then everybody again behind the brother's back.
^^ That's what he said publicly. And being two-faced is bad enough, but he tried to use it to invoke suspicion on me.

b) because I already asked him to comment on this, and patiently waited for him to come back and do just that, and he ignored it.

I'm voting for Ricochet because he always hisses at me and he celebrated when people thought I was dead.

P O P P Y I'm Poppy!
P O P P Y I'm Poppy!
P O P P Y I'm Poppy!
P O P P Y *vote llama*

Rico have you reached out to anyone?

I myself have not, and only one person has reached out to me.

Out of the Dizzy voters, Epis vote looks better to me than Timmers, so I am temp voting Timmer. Might stay there might not.

And lulz at Rico and Llama being traditional and voting for each other.
