DAY 5

151. EXT. FRANK'S CAR/BEAUMONT HOUSE - NIGHT

BANG.

Jeffrey fires one last bullet into Paul's body. His hands are shaking, barely able to keep hold of the gun, and his eyes are red and watering.

Raymond still has Aunt Barbara's blood all over him, and a switchblade in his hand. Dorothy's still inside the car, at the wheel, horrified at the grisly display of four dead bodies before her.

Jeffrey quickly whirls around, aiming the gun at Raymond now.

JEFFREY
(through gritted teeth)
Dorothy and I...are leaving. Don't move.

He begins moving towards the car.

RAYMOND
I'm really, really sorry, Fucker, but I'm afraid I can't let you do that.

Raymond starts moving towards Jeffrey.

JEFFREY
(yelling desperately)
Stay back, or I'll shoot! Don't test me!

DOROTHY
Just let us go, Raymond, please.

Jeffrey has one hand on the car door, and the other pointing a gun at Raymond, who is a couple yards away, and still slowly advancing.

RAYMOND
You know how guns work, right, Fucker?

JEFFREY
Count of three. Leave, or I shoot.

DOROTHY
Just get in the car, Jeffrey!

JEFFREY
Three...

Raymond begins to grin.

JEFFREY
Two...

DOROTHY
Stop it, Jeffrey!

JEFFREY
One.

Jeffrey pulls the trigger.

Click.

Click-click-click-click.

Raymond begins to laugh, and Jeffrey's expression turns into one of horror.

RAYMOND
You ran out of fuckin' bullets, shithead.

Lifting the switchblade up, Raymond throws it in the exact same way Jeffrey used to kill Frank.

THWACK.

It lands directly into Jeffrey's chest.

JEFFREY
(strained)
Dorothy...

He collapses to the ground.

DOROTHY
Jeffrey!!

Dorothy begins to wail incoherently.

Raymond walks over and pulls the switchblade out of Jeffrey's chest.

RAYMOND
That...was for Paul. This...

He plunges the blade into Jeffrey's head.

RAYMOND
Is for Frank.

Dorothy screams even louder.

Raymond leaves the knife where it is, and climbs inside the car.

RAYMOND
(to Dorothy)
It's time for you and me, baby, to go see Ben.

He starts the engine and floors it.

Timmer has been killed. He was Jeffrey Beaumont, a member of Dorothy's team.

It is now Day 5. You have 48 hours to vote in the poll.

CIVILIANS (11)

Jeffrey Beaumont - Either a detective or a pervert. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Beaumont. Bad boy to Dorothy Vallens. Searches for Frank Booth every night. If he finds him, Frank dies. When he is alive, Frank Booth can only be killed by him. If Red Cedar wins the D0 poll, your vote counts for double in the Night Event Polls.

Sandy Williams - Nice girl. High school student. Fond of mysteries. Daughter to Det. Williams and Mrs. Williams. Girlfriend to Mike. Friend of Jeffrey. Vanilla civ.

Mrs. Williams - Remarkably composed woman. Sandy's mother. Husband to Det. Williams. Vanilla civ.

Detective John Williams - His job, as a detective for the Lumberton PD, is great. And horrible too. Husband to Mrs. Williams. Father to Sandy. Partner of Det. Gordon. Vanilla civ.

Mrs. Beaumont - Caring mother to Jeffrey. Shouldn't ask so many questions. Wife of Tom Beaumont. Sister to Aunt Barbara. Vanilla civ.

Aunt Barbara - Bit of a nag. Knows not to go near Lincoln Street. Sister of Mrs. Beaumont. Aunt of Jeffrey. Vanilla civ.

Mike - High school quarterback, and big man on campus. Can be a bit of a douche, but knows when to dial it down. Boyfriend of Sandy. Vanilla civ.

Don Vallens - Van Gogh. Captive of Frank Booth. Husband to Dorothy Vallens. Vanilla civ.

Detective T.R. Gordon - Yellow man. Works for the Lumberton Police Department. Has been an undercover operative inside Frank Booth's organization. Partners with Det. John Williams. Vanilla civ.

Little Donny - 4-year old son of Dorothy and Don Vallens. Has a nifty spinning hat. Captive of Frank Booth, and currently being held by Ben. Vanilla civ.

Sparky the Dog - A dog. That's it. You love hoses and sprinklers, and are prepared to climb over dying humans to get to them. Vanilla civ.

MAFIA (3)

Frank Booth - A very dangerous man. He'll fuck anything that moves. Call him Daddy, shithead. While Jeffrey Beaumont is alive, can only be killed by him. Once Jeffrey is dead, Frank is no longer immune to lynches or NKs. Sends a love letter every night. You know what a love letter is, fucker? It's a bullet from a fuckin' gun, fucker. If he dies, the kill passes to his associates. If Sycamore Maple wins the D0 poll, your vote counts for double in the Night Event Polls.

Ben - One goddamn suave fuck. Knows the Candy Colored Clown. Business associate of Frank Booth. Vanilla baddie.

Paul - *CLAP* He's Paul. He's been to Pussy Heaven. Henchman to Frank Booth. Vanilla baddie.

INDEPENDENT (1)

Dorothy Vallens - Singer for the Slow Club. Her husband and child were taken from her by Frank Booth. Jeffrey Beaumont is her bad boy. Every night, she searches for the three of them. If she finds them, they have the option of joining her and forming a third, independent team. This team can only win the game if it outnumbers the civilians, and all of Frank Booth's organization have been eliminated. Dorothy can win no other way. If Douglas Firs wins the D0 poll, your vote counts for double in the Night Event Polls.

because i am still unaware of his role claiming shenanigans. If he has a confirmed role then voting for him is silly. But the vote was just a way of showing that I'm awaiting his re-read of my posts. I'll gonfor uh DharmaHelper then. Because why not?

13. No copy and pasting or screenshotting my PMs to you. Do not use any part of my role PMs as supposed verification for your roleclaims. People have to take you at your word when you claim your role, no using me as a shield.
I'd ask everyone to keep this rule in mind.

Epi is probably Mike
Speedchuck is probably the Dog
Long Con is likely not mafia since he thought the game was LMS and his PM would have, I assume, included the names of his teammates as well as their names in the CC: field so I doublt he'd miss that.
I know I'm a civ.

I'm leaning long con as independent. For obvious reasons.

I could say Sloon is the mafia, and hope that no recruitment has happened. That would probably be too clean.

Which three? Her husband? Child? Booth? Beaumont?

I made the assumption that it was husband, child, and the detective/perv (since apparently timmer did indeed get recruited.)

Ctrl + F "SVS" in nutella's posts: Nothing comes up until Day 4. Hm.
Ctrl + F "llama" and this is the first post that comes up:

Why?
Just because. They sound legit. I buy LC's story about assuming LMS with a vanilla role. Your assessment of that makes sense as well. He could be an actually LMS role, but that seems much less likely.

And I suppose I've been misguided in reading Dys before, but I'm really only getting genuine town vibes so far. Except I'm pretty baffled by her strong desire to lynch llama (which rico seems to agree with inexplicably). Why lynch llama, what's the reasoning?
I didn't like "Just because" as an answer to my Day 1 question at the time, and looking at the bottom paragraph now is tremendously sirengify. Tiptoes carefully over to the llama scrutiny to ask a question and act all defensively.

Someone tell me why nutella should be read as town.

nutella knew timmer was the llama killer.

Her team didn't kill timmer until after it was obvious that timmer was the llama killer (way to go nutella- we do good work).

Explain to me why nutella would hold off on killer timmer with this information.

Nah, not particularly.

I haven't really seen much reason to suspect anyone yet. As it usually goes on day ones. I'm always wary of Wilgy when he's cryptic like this though. Gonna throw a vote on him just to pick someone (just realized we only have a few hours left and I don't want to miss it)
Not a fan of this Day 1 vote at all either. "I don't know what to do, I see that Wilgy's being his usual self and painting an easy target on his back, so I guess I'll vote for him." I liked none of the Wilgy wagon (sorry for not having much to say at the time). SVS drove the wagon home, and it would not surprise me if she had some help from her teammate here.

Then there's also posts like these:

nutella wrote: Fri Jun 16, 2017 8:31 pm @Dys hope everything's ok

I'm sorta tempted to vote for Rico because I'm pretty damn sick of the annoyingness, but Epi's pushing me to reconsider since I don't really think Rico necessarily looks like/is behaving like a baddie. Like, he could be "hiding behind" the singsong bullshit and the no-u pattern, but I don't have a particularly strong reason to think that. But the more he's getting pushed on it and remaining stubborn, the more I'm doubting his innocence... idk. WIFOM and all that jazz. If I can't make up my mind on Rico I might join DH in voting for G-Man -- the points there don't feel like much but it's more than I have on anyone else.
nutella wrote: Sat Jun 17, 2017 2:19 pm Ooo LC's case on Epi is fascinating. I'm a little hesitant to buy into the "tells" from Mass Effect as he was indeed an independent rather than a mafia, but his response has been largely inadequate imo, especially with regards to the "phoning it in"/narrow focus accusation. I don't understand how that one tiny inconsequential response/request for clarification to me, which I didn't even feel merited a response let alone constituted any expression of suspicion, counts as an original contribution. It seems to be just some confusion on my wording, which for what it's worth I'll answer now since he does appear to be taking it rather seriously: I merely meant, Epi, that your post (about considering whether Rico's behavior actually indicated alignment) caused me to take a step back and reconsider that point/whether I should actually vote for him or not. I suppose "pushing" was not really the best word; I didn't really mean to imply heavy agency on your part (though no doubt there was some intent in your post to have the effect it successfully had on me) or that you were putting pressure on me specifically. I just meant to convey my thought process regarding the Rico situation and how you affected it, but I didn't use the most precise language.

Anyway, putting a vote on Epi for now. Really not getting good vibes from his responses to LC or from all the eye-rolling.
These posts are reflective of a problem I'm seeing throughout nutella's posts right now: she is more passive/less aggressive than I am used to seeing her. There does not seem to be a whole lot of independent case-making. She's reacting a lot to what other people are saying, commenting that she agrees with things or likes theories (or that she is "baffled" by the llama push on Day 1). This has the feel of a scum player whose primary goal is to nudge town players toward certain favorable lynches.

And now that I have caught up a little bit and looked at her posts in full, I feel even less inspired by her responses to my questions yesterday. It still appears that she genuinely failed to list Epi as a POE suspect at a time when she was also accusing him of being caught in a lie. Her refusal to comment on this as I questioned her further just seems like she is avoiding having to explain herself rather than any beneficial strategy. Also, when I first asked her to explain her POE reads he response was "POE is pretty self-explanatory." I thought it was pretty clear that I was asking for substantial reads on players but she, again, avoided answering that.

I owe DH an inspection as well, but I see plenty of stuff in Nutella's posts that compels me to vote for her.

How do you know she knew this?

Also you refused to vote for SVS on the basis of what you supposed her scum strategy would be.

But, to take a swing at the question, perhaps they figured timmer was a limited shooter, or felt safe that he would at least not be killing either of them soon. Or they just weren't paying that much attention (remember that Rico kill analysis you did earlier in the game?) and overlooked it because meh.

I didn't vote her because I suspected Dyslexicon more. Additionally, I have never before encountered a relatively inactive S~V~S, and she didn't fall for Wilgy's ruse. I regarded that latter fact in her favor.

I get that I'm on the POE short list. That's cool. But please don't lynch me without first looking for substantive reasons that point to me as scum. If I get lynched and the reason amounts to nothing more than a shrug at the numbers, I'll be annoyed and disheartened. If you guys do your homework and conclude that I'm bad, I'll be angry and perplexed, but at least it will have been a good fair mafia game.

I still have not read this portion of the thread, but I don't see her potential knowledge about timmer's role as a liberating factor in her favor.

You were not correct in this instance. I was, toot toot. Finding ourselves in a similar situation again regarding Nutella, I am forced to recall this prior episode.

I have no idea why he would lie about this. And the way he reacted to me going right to the thread did not lead me to think it was not true.

I feel surest about a lynch of Wilgy today. Just like you feel surest about Nutella, although I am not sure I agree with you. This is based on what he said to me, and then how he reacted and what he said after I put it to the thread.

I will happily talk about what he said to me when he is gone, and indeed, I have already told one person.
Goes out of her way to slip a comment in about not agreeing with my Day 1 vote for Nutella.

Not much apparently. Bye Sprit.

I am not going to mutiny, it will be more interesting to watch the effects on someone else :haha:

I am going to reread Day zero/one. I felt pretty good about Dizzy, and want to make sure I still do and want to look again at peoples reasons for voting her. Same goes for Nutella. She seems fairly average Nutella who always seems shady but isn't. I was fairly focused on her and her bad partner in the crossover game, and think I have a fairly good feel for her current bad game, and I am not sure I see it here, but I want to take a second look.

She was pretty opportunistic there, and picked up and dropped suspicions regardless of logic.

I am also going to look back over some of the things Wilgy said to me.
Hints at the possibility of suspecting Nutella, but quickly adds a soft defense in the same breath.

llama never mentioned nutella, i don't think.
