Theory: Marmot and wilgy appeared in the thread right around the same time. They'd both apparently been out having a good time until around midnight EST. Marmot enters the thread:

The only rationale I can come up with to justify Epignosis calling for votes on himself is that This Guy issued a punishment calling for him to receive vote(s) or else something. Epignosis asked novaselinenever to vote for him, and he was willing to do so with a shrug -- it looked like he had no clue why he was being asked to do that. If the theory about This Guy is anywhere close to accurate, then the person who ordered the punishment is going to know why Epignosis is collecting votes on himself.

It can be faked, it didn't look faked.

It's also possible this is all incorrect.
