I got a feeling tonight's my night, guys.

I think I like this twist on the survivor role. Kano must be protown at some points and must be antitown at others. That is more urgency than a survivor, who does not care and tends to default to town just cause (minus claiming, which hurts the town) and is essentially mafia in and endgame with more than one goon left. Interesting alternative to a bounty hunter, too, who are also too easy to win as and have little urgency.[/ot}

That's a bit juicy. He specifically endorsed the casing of his teammate Simon instead of Dave. In some future scenario where Simon and Dave are both lynched, this'd be a nice platform for Marmot to rest on for credit if Dave is a civilian. If they're both mafia though then that'd mean Marmot pointed rabbit from one teammate to the other. It's plausible; I don't know that it's the most likely thing.

Dave - Who is Dave? I have no reason to think Dave is a civilian. Even moreso than Simon, he's a good option for a vig kill because there is zero content. Simon has at least shown his head.

Oh dear. Not only is Dave a good vigilante option, he's a better vig option than Simon.

Conclusion: It looks to me like Dave is an unfortunate never-voting civilian. That invitation to vigilante kill him before Simon is hard to look past, even considering Marmot's love for WIFOM.

Dom - Dom... Is another vig option. Wow that sucks that we have several decent options for that.

He also offered up Dom on the vigilante platter. This time he didn't include the Simon comparison, for what that's worth. It'd have been redundant, since the Dave and Dom entries were adjacent in this post.

Conclusion: That's it. This says little to me. I might say Dom looks slightly better given that Marmot mentioned vig killing him at all, though it's less sparkly than Dave's.

If we consider Dave and Dom civilians for the worst-case scenario (an assumption I'd say is more evidence-based now than before), we proceed from this:

6 civilian votes (6-1+1), 4 mafia votes, 2 variable indy votes, and 2 phantom vote denials affecting any of the three factions.

To this:

6 civilian votes (6-1+1), 3 mafia votes, 2 variable indy votes, and 2 phantom vote denials affecting any of the three factions.

If one night kill of a civilian occurs, we're left at:

5 civilian votes (6-1+1), 3 mafia votes, 2 variable indy votes, and 1-2 phantom vote denials affecting any of the three factions.

Essentially, the game would remain in a pseudo-elimination phase. I don't think a mislynch would end the game because Dave and Dom are still living players, but the voting power would become extremely bleak. This all assumes my previous estimates were accurate. It'd really be unfortunate if either no-show is Liu Kang with the doublevote.

Alternative vote analysis:


We should have 10 non mafia vs 3 mafia.

10 non mafia votes, +1 Liu Kang (maybe) +ties Kung Lao (maybe) -1 (or -2 if he hits Liu Kang) Baraka and -1 for Shang Sung copying Baraka (50% chance the timing is right to use this). If you call Kung Lao basically a voice, this evens out to 9-10 non mafia votes. Minus Quin, Dave and Dom is 7 non mafia votes.

3 mafia votes. -1 Smoke (maybe). 2-3 mafia votes.

Assumptions are no additional vote powers, Kano being pro town until mafia has only 1 guy left, Ermac being pro town, good guys targeting well when it would otherwise be mylo.

Basically, the rez and the Nutella lynch amount to 2 skipped night phases while the Simon and Marmot lynches amount to 3 votes gone. So we were at mylo but lynching 3 mafia votes and skipping 2 night phases lets us afford a few mislynches. We've already used one on Nutella.
