Those long lists are great to see where a player is standing and all, but how is this different from 'salad' posts?

They aren't very different.

'Salad' posts just throw out a bunch of unsubstantiated targets, mixing some popular ones with unique ones to sound like the player is looking in a specific direction. Rainbow lists can be used to do the same thing. Differences are:

Rainbow lists are more concrete. They limit options, which is sorta the opposite of what player salad does. Because all of the townreads are listed in there as well.

Rainbow lists invite discussion of all players, not just a select few.

Rainbow lists can be used for POE. Player salad cannot.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm 5 times more likely to ignore a rainbow list than a "salad" post.

I find it amusing you spent how long basically complaining people post to much, your not as good as ppl think, ect thenjump on the easiest wagon possible to try tp lynch a player who you know is oftem mislynched on stupid shit.

With the amount of info we're allowed to get from night actions, do you think it'd really be worth it? I tend not to, but I'm also new to the setup.

Imo vig kills are extremely unreliable so no, roleblocking every civ isn't worth it. A single investigation or tracker result can do a lot more for the town than a kill attempt.

We are here with another edition of DDL News. Turns out I did target Bob (and it failed) but Jack quoted the wrong message when he told me it failed.

Wonder how it failed though since Bob isn't supposed to be immune to me. Either he has a flavor thing that makes him immune to misdirection, or I got hit with a roleblock or a misdirect myself.

The D1 lynch was alledgedly stopped by Epi, who stopped because he was going to miss the EoD1 so he wanted to play safe and avoid being lynched himself.

Other points:

- The end phase was as someone else said a hilarious 'clown fiesta'. So many people constantly switchting votes around.
- This makes me suspicious of Epi. He was one of the main instigators of this. He switched a lot. And he had some sort of theory on DDL and Dr. White but then not really sticking to it.
- JJJ was also constantly switching around to low hanging fruit, people who have few posts which can be related to anything (such as this thread having 85 pages now )
- nutella remains her opportunistic self and follows whatever vote seems fashionable.

How is switching votes around a bad thing? What do you think makes a mafia more comfortable: A static lynch or a dynamic lynch?

Mistyped, I meant the exchange on DDL/rdw/3J.

There could be all sorts of reasons for scum to want a dynamic lynch, f.i. getting people sidetracked if a teammate is suspected.

targeted sig last night, giving him a +15% chance to kill the target, so he had a 90% chance to succeed. Anyways there’s a passive effect on my powers that will cause the person I targeted to be misdirected. But the only way that could have happened is if Colin was my long lost brother and Wilgy targeted him with a harmful action, but the chances it really happened are small.

if everything you're saying is true, and it would be weird if it wasn't since you alluded to this way back on day 0, wilgy probably really is your brother. I'm like 95% sure actually.

I believe others other players have effects on their actions under certain conditions, like kylemii apparently does so I wouldn’t lynch sig based on this thing

1. How long did I spend complaining? I just went through my 130 posts and found two instances where I said something like "X pages behind, catching up now" or something to that effect. Couldn't find a single instance of me complaining people post too much. Maybe you can help me out here, sig, since you say I've spent too much time complaining.

2. I'm not as good as people think. That's a proven fact, over and over. Me jumping on the easiest wagon should only reinforce that fact in your mind.

3. Ok, fine. I'll put you as green on my rainbow list, and if you are bad, then I never want to hear any crap about how I shouldn't suspect you due to how often you are mislynched.

I think I'm good with an I_D lynch if that's where we want to go today. Although part of my suspicion of him was connected to Dr. White and he was town... I guess I'll reread him. I don't like his stance on "salad" but that's probably just a cultural disagreement. Like, with a rainbow list you are compelled to share your stance on every player in the game, arbitrary though it may sometimes be; if you pick and choose who you talk about, you're obviously free to deliberately leave out players you don't want to draw attention to, and also without the structure of a rainbow you can just say whatever you want with noncommittal words to leave your options open (not that I haven't been guilty of that as either alignment tbf).

I kind of get the case against him and could tinfoil him as bad given his recent play, but my early townread of him was strong enough that it would very much be tinfoil. Idk, I'm always a bit wary of being tricked by him and his behavior has been a little bit off, but I sympathize with his mafia fatigue and believe that at least to be genuine. But yeah both you and Mac have pointed out some reasonably compelling accusations.
