My girlfriend and I went shopping across the border in Mexico. Bought tortillas, shot glasses, etc. It was my first time being out of the country and I was pumped lol.
I'm in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas atm for Spring Break and it's a lot of fun so far. Probably my favorite area of the state yet. Border towns are fun and kinda sketchy sometimes and it's exciting.

Hey, rundontwalk! I'm a fellow Texan too (at least for now), even if it's been only 4 years.
How about some music questions?
- Favorite concert you have ever been to (and why)?
- What are your top 5 / 10 / 20 albums of all-time?
- If you could learn and master any musical instrument instantly, which instrument would it be?
- Do you have any pet peeves in music/songs?
Then a couple more Texas questions because why not?
- Have you been to Austin; if so, what's your favorite thing to do there?
- If you knew someone was visiting Texas for the first time and they only had, say, a week or so, what would you suggest for them to visit and/or do?

Re: Kites - Interrogation Room
Thanks for answering this week's questions rundontwalk and so good to be playing with you again.
For the next interrogation, I'd like to welcome Kites, the underdog of mafia since his day and the sweetest Finnish dude I know (there's not many, Finns are crazy :P ). Sensitive, funny, kind and smart are the first words I'd think of when I want to describe Kites. Oh also cute as hell, ladies.
Kites, to get things started: what's the best thing about Finland? What's the worst?
Out of the other Nordic languages, which is the ugliest? (it's Danish, right? ;p)
What's the best food native to Finland?
Have you been to any other countries? where?
Do you have a gf?
Do you like anime? fav shows?
Hey RYMers, get in on this questioning. Now's your chance!

she’s right
It wasn’t until recently I started to appreciate the nature and its beauty around here so I’ll pick that. Worst? The weather probs, summer is my fav season but it sucks here and I’d be okay with never seeing snow again@Kites, to get things started: what's the best thing about Finland? What's the worst?
If I had to listen to samples of Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and Icelandic I probably wouldn’t be able to tell which is which, no offenceOut of the other Nordic languages, which is the ugliest? (it's Danish, right? ;p)
I actually had to google what they are lol. Gotta say I’m not a fan of this stuff but salmon soup is great I think and Karelian pies are okWhat's the best food native to Finland?
Omg I have to confess I have never been on a plane I have been to Sweden twice though. I really want to travel moreHave you been to any other countries? where?
I’m single at the momentDo you have a gf?
My anime knowledge is pretty much limited to Miyazaki movies but yes I do. i haven’t watched any shows really.Do you like anime? fav shows?

Re: Kites - Interrogation Room
Is a pint of beer really 15 US dollars in Sweden?
I learned at trivia last night that Sweden is 3rd overall in medals received at the summer olympics in diving since 1904 (behind US and China). Is that a highly prized sport in Sweden, or are there other more popular sports?
Also, I'm an RYMer too right?

Re: Kites - Interrogation Room
you mean finland? mm yeah somewhat, the taxing can be kinda ridiculous on some things like alcohol, fuel, anything really. 15? maybe not that much, probs like $12 max but I’m not sure since I don’t drink very much really
idk about Sweden lol but diving isn’t a priced sport here. icehockey, biathlon and athletics are thoI learned at trivia last night that Sweden is 3rd overall in medals received at the summer olympics in diving since 1904 (behind US and China). Hi My fav rymers hmm, I’d say the people who used to post regularly in OT, it’s sad it was taken down because I hardly talk to anyone on rym anymore.
I’m not done with school yet, I’m studying chemical engineering but honestly I’m not seeing my future there and I’ve been thinking of med school :P
Actually I order kebab with fries more often than pizza but if we’re talking pizza I like to keep it simple, tomato, cheese and like pepperoni. no pineapple or onion thanks

That's awesome; I love "Kite" (The Kick Inside is great!). I'll give you the music questions I've been giving everyone, haha, if that's cool! I am curious about your taste too!
- What is (are) your favorite subgenre(s) of music? Are there any subgenres of music you do not like?
- Do you know how to play any musical instrument(s)? If so, which, and for how long have you known?
- Favorite concert you have ever been to (and why)?

- If you could learn and master any musical instrument instantly, which instrument would it be?
- Do you have any pet peeves in music/songs?
- Do you have any esoteric album recommendations that people should check out?
And how about some mafia questions? I see no one has asked you about that yet!
- Do you prefer being civilian or mafia?
- What is your most treasured moment in a mafia game when civilian?

80’s metal in general, US power metal is probs my fav style
90’s dance in general. Old school hard trance, deep house and everything eurodance seriously rules
genres I don’t like? grunge, indie/alt rock, sad white guy with a piano/guitar singer/songwriter stuff literally bores me to death. exceptions exist of course but avoid this stuff
instruments? i did mention drums but I wouldn’t say I’m good at playing them- Do you know how to play any musical instrument(s)? If so, which, and for how long have you known?
there hasn’t been many but seeing iron maiden (+alice cooper) on the final frontier tour was cool. was also my first concert- Favorite concert you have ever been to (and why)?
top 15 albums? let’s think, not in order- What are your top 5 / 10 / 20 albums of all-time?
Spoiler: show
probably guitar- If you could learn and master any musical instrument instantly, which instrument would it be?
can’t think of any right now, whiny vocals maybe- Do you have any pet peeves in music/songs?
I just removed all my ratings on rym a while ago cos I wanted to listen and rate everything again so it’s hard to remember but have one- Do you have any esoteric album recommendations that people should check out?
Enemite - Wuyuan (cool chinese ritual/dark ambient)
mafia of courseAnd how about some mafia questions? I see no one has asked you about that yet!

game ending in a 3-way tie (mafia/rogue won), 1 town (me), 1 mafia and 1 rogue. the rogue gained my trust in btsc and i unknowingly assisted her (equus? not sure) to victory- What is your most treasured moment in a mafia game when civilian?

Oh hey, it's my turn! Thanks dunya!
Hm, probably his inability to get out of bed in the morning.
We met at church actually! I was 16 and my family moved to a new church, and speedchuck was 17, and had just moved to the area to go to college. We did not start dating until 2 years later.
I work as a systems engineer.
My initial motivation for signing up with this forum was to play speedchuck's burglary game (based off A Hat in Time). He was super excited about running it and needed a few more players. Since then I've decided online mafia is pretty fun, so I may stick with it for a while.

Has speedchuck ever boasted about winning three socky awards in a live, in-person conversation?
Dark, milk, or white chocolate?

I mean, that is quite an accomplishment. But yes. We were visiting his family during the sockys, and he let them all know he won three awards, and what they were for.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 2:54 pm Has speedchuck ever boasted about winning three socky awards in a live, in-person conversation?
Dark chocolate.
My avatar is an artistic depiction of Luna Lovegood, from the Harry Potter series. I absolutely love her character, and in some ways empathize with her awkward social skills.

Re: Lunalee - Interrogation Room
Lunalee,
Are you from Alabama? Did you go to college there and if yes, which one (I was born and raised in Huntsville).
Does your family live nearby?
Do you have brothers and sisters?
What church do you go to in Huntsville (I went to First Christian on Whitesburg) or do you go to a church outside of Huntsville?
Do you work at the same place as speed?
I hope you stay and play with us for a long time!

Sometimes it will naturally come out, but it can be contained if we just remember that this is a game on a message board forum that 99.99% of the population of the Earth has never heard of before. No matter how successful anyone is, it means just about nothing.

Yes! I'm from Huntsville Alabama, and went to college at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH). That's so cool you were raised here too!
My family does live nearby, which is nice.
I have one older sister.

We do work at the same place!
