@Marmot I may switch to Dom. I trust speedchuck is town, and he has a better read on Dom's meta than I do.
Okay this is a scray post.

Why coordinate with Marmot? Why trust me when I don't trust you?
Do you feel like you have a better handle of Luna’s scum game after only one on the resume?

nutella wrote: Tue Jun 19, 2018 12:21 pm Let's lynch speedchuck who's with me
This, as mentioned, is a thing.
nutella wrote: Tue Jun 19, 2018 3:01 pm Hey Kyle's in this game and has like 1.2 on topic posts. Kyle pls share thoughts who do you want to vote for
THIS on the other hand actually pinged me. It's hypocritical and pushes attention away from nutella, while not providing content. Nutella has maybe 2 on-topic posts, if we're being generous.
Great way to look proactive and discussion-generating while putting focus on others and not really doing anything.

It's just the timing of it, when over half the game has ~1.2 on-topic posts. Rubbed me wrong.
I legitimately had just remembered that kyle was in this game. He sticks out as not having participated as much as others. Maybe I havent contributed a lot yet but ive been present.

He strikes me as having a "devil-may-care" attitude like he had in U-Pick where he was civ. These are early reads/leans, just how I'm feeling at this point in time. Have you seen something you consider an indicator of scum? Or are you just feeling neutral about him?
JaggedJimmyJay wrote: Sat Aug 21, 2021 3:24 pm Always good to remember that there is no such thing as a Mafia circumstance that is worth real human emotion. Sometimes it will naturally come out, but it can be contained if we just remember that this is a game on a message board forum that 99.99% of the population of the Earth has never heard of before. No matter how successful anyone is, it means just about nothing.

Now that I've ordered everyone according to my thoughts and feels, it occurs to me that there is not a lot going on. And given that most of my deliberation was whether to put people above or below the 2 no-shows... there are a lot of town player in this game that are currently inhaling vigorously. Exhale some thoughts guys.

Hate on me for my list so I can collect more data.

These two things don't line up at all.

[VOTE: Colin] aubergine
Flipped a coin between lap and nova, where there is shared rationale. Not totally random.
You hadn't discussed nova as an alternative to lapluie though.

And even had you done so, you previously opposed random votes and the endorsements of such, then placed a random vote here.
Do I need to voice everything all the time?

A random vote between everybody =/= a random vote between people of similar circumstance.

Because of the way you addressed me early on.

I think we are on the same team. Your questioning of me, while silly, felt like it was coming from a genuine place. Though the fact that you are a relatively strong townread says more about how much i trust everyone else. :disappoint:

Hey! Indeed - I took some months off from mafia due to trying to be Superwoman at work and home. But I am on break, and am in need of a distraction from other important things :shifty:

I'll be honest - I'm never a fan of the question "what's your meta?" Your intention may be to get people talking into the game (and hey! It has! For me!), but it also backs people into a corner, regardless of alignment. Either someone you don't know makes up some bullshit, or the player you know is stuck playing their "meta" (or out of their "meta") when perhaps they're trying to, y'know, not do that. It boxes people up, maaaaaaaan :daisy:

But because I'd like to think (and I actually work at, or not work at, whichever works best) that my metas are pretty similar regardless of alignment, I'll answer your question with just that - I talk when I feel like it. I'm busy all the fucking time, except when I'm not, and it'll happen during this game, even though it's summer, because I always find something to stress about. I'm a creepy Blooper that people can't decipher. And I like it that way.

Bloop.

I'm busy all the fucking time, except when I'm not, and it'll happen during this game, even though it's summer, because I always find something to stress about. I'm a creepy Blooper that people can't decipher. And I like it that way.

Bloop.
Nice to meet you Nijuukyugou! And thanks for the meta introduction, but I am wary of people who claim to have difficult-to-decipher metas. It looks like you've just placed your safety net out in case you look suspicious.

Dom pinged me for other reasons. I've explained them earlier. Tonal meta.
@Marmot I may switch to Dom. I trust speedchuck is town, and he has a better read on Dom's meta than I do.
Okay this is a scray post.

Why coordinate with Marmot? Why trust me when I don't trust you?
Sorry for the "scray" post, but Marmot and I both suspected Niju for the same reason. She dispelled those suspicions with her response, so I don't want to lynch her now. So why not coordinate with Marmot when we were both on the same lynch train?

I'm sorry you don't trust me, and that is understandable. But your suspicions of me sort of confirm to me that you're town, which gives me reason to trust you.
You wanna clear up a bit about why you suspected niju in the first place? I didn't quite get Marmot's initial accusation (in terms of why that it was scummy), and it'd be nice to hear another player that agreed with him talk about it a little.
Sure, here was my initial suspicion:

@Fractal Welcome! And same question I asked Niju

Hm, ok.

Personally, i feel like lying about meta is something i wouldn't expect unless someone already has legitimately caught someone with a meta read.

But even discounting that, if someone is gonna lie about their meta, doesn't it make more sense to say there's a difference between their scum and town game but give a false reason and then follow the town meta they gave for themselves?

I'd like to welcome y'all to INH'S HOT TUB OF TRUST. These are the people that Insertnamehere thinks are honest, hard-working, tax-paying civilians, and has invited them into his spacious HOT TUB OF TRUST to mayhaps mind-meld in a rather psychedelic and swanky context, if you catch my drift.

Now, first up, is a sea creature that should feel perfectly at home in the HOT TUB OF TRUST, Niju! Blooper entered the game with a post about meta that had me shaking my head, and groovin' on their wavelength. However, some unhip cats tried to gang up on them because of it, which was damn lame. Love, not war, is the key to winning mafia, my friends.

Secondly, it's an old friend, the Nervous Horse himself, Vompatti. Get your wombat butt into the tub, man. Under no circumstance will I be voting for Vompatti during this game. It'd just feel wrong. People who ask why I trust him so much will get an eyeroll, and a "you just don't get it, maaaan."

Thirdly, Fractal. Now, this is Fractal's first jaunt through these here woods, and he's managed to ingratiate himself quite nicely. He seems like an earnestly analytical chap, and despite our differences in gameplay, he reads as genuine.

Now, that's all the friends I have room for right now, but I anticipate many more guests in the future. Keep your eyes peeled, your words true, and your heart pure, and you just may be the next person to join the HOT TUB OF TRUST. (trademark pending)

DISLIKE!

I don't understand what you mean by "had me shaking my head, and groovin' on their wavelength", as these two things seem like opposing thoughts.

Also, a policy-no-vote of Vompatti doesn't jive with me.

This post gets a suspicion score of ★★★.

Haha, like it.

At the risk of getting one of the infamous "you just don't get it, maaaan", I'm gonna send a request for reasoning on the Vompatti read.

What's in it for you, you ask?

Well! With reasons I decide are valid, you can retrieve an "Aid document", in which I promise to help you protect your dear Vompatti in times of need, as well as my gratitude.
