speed what is "magic bagging"?
Is that not a term here? Oohh! It's education time!

Magic Bagging:
nutella wrote: Tue Jun 19, 2018 6:13 pm Kanyway I'm busy at work and really can't keep up with the thread through EOD so don't lynch me k I have a good and helpful town role sorry I don't have time to hunt more rn
Verb: The act of taking your supposed town role and using it as leverage without saying what it is.
"You don't want to kill me, I've got something really cool and awesome inside this magic bag. I can't show you what it is, but you wouldn't want to waste it!"

Generally seen as a scumtell, at least in closed setups. In open setups it might be more necessary, but is still a substitute for actual hunting and towny behavior, and is more focused on moving the lynch anywhere (like to Dom, RIP) instead of somewhere specific.
Oh wow thanks speed I see people do that all the time. I had no idea it was regarded as a scum tel.

If you've already answered this sorry, but why Speed? He's a town lean for me.
nutella, when reading through your ISO I also wondered why speed. I don't see a post where you answered sig's question but maybe I missed it. If so would you direct me to it and if not, would you answer please?
I don't have a good answer. It's just a funky hunch

Thanks for you answer about your speed vote nutella.

sig I didn't see a reason for your INH vote, can you enlighten me? I saw it came after INH posted a song which I didn't listen to because it is 20 minutes long. Did your vote have something to do with the song he posted?

Coliniscool - mid-town
--------------------------------------------------
His observation of my (very-recent) meta is spot on.
I like the questions he's asking. They point to someone who doesn't know the state of the game.
His defense for the "coin-flip" vote felt genuine. Not someone who is overthinking his posts.
I want to see more conclusions to go with questions. Otherwise townread
--------------------------------------------------

juliets - light town
--------------------------------------------------
Responded decently to my early pressure question.
Driving discussion well in places that it is lacking.
Has done nothing that I think couldn't come from a scum mindset, but hasn't pinged me either.
--------------------------------------------------

Kylemii - mid-town with a tinfoil hat
--------------------------------------------------
He made me promise. :) Following a rivalry thought process that feels towny.
I like his response to being questioned on the lynch vote. Something I would do as scum, which means it's supah-town.
Despite all of this, I get this nagging feeling that his posts are too easy to fake as scum. Hrg.
--------------------------------------------------

Nutella - light scumread
--------------------------------------------------
I like nutella going after this Ramsey thing. But then, scum could do that too.
I dislike her magic bagging at EOD1, and her D1 callouts.
Responses to pressure are not awful.
--------------------------------------------------

Turnip Head - Null
--------------------------------------------------
All I can rely on with this guy is a meta read, and I haven't seen him as scum.
No hard content.
--------------------------------------------------

Vompatti - *mmmmmmm*
--------------------------------------------------
I can't get anything out of this. Vompatti is apparently fond of the ramses torture stuff.
Has contributed nothing.
Maybe we're supposed to wait till late game and then lynch Vomp at MYLO and lose. :|

Lunalee wrote: Thu Jun 21, 2018 11:27 am Long Con seems more excited about screaming at the music videos than posting real content, so I'm going to look at him for a second.

He shoots down sig's proposition on day 1, but come on, who didn't.
He missed the day one vote.
He ended up on DDL's list of screaming banshees, but I'm not convinced that means anything.
Put off replying to sig with what he thought about the day 1 lynch.
Continues to scream back at King Ramses
Asks speedchuck and Kylmii why they voted for him (on what I assume was the day one poll?).

Overall feel on Long Con: He seems lazy in this game, and not very helpful. I give him a read of probably scum.
Have you familiarized yourself with DDL’s ideas about the screaming?

inh - slight town
--------------------------------------------------
INH has provided some actual content and reads, even when joking. Refreshing.
But I don't accept the Vomp love.
Posted a song on night 2 in the middle of the Ramses madness. You all saw it. But he posted a song D1 as well.
I have zero reason to lynch INH.
--------------------------------------------------

Lapluie - light scum
--------------------------------------------------
Voted for Scotty (Which I accidentally wrote as skittle). Reason: Him going for an easy lynch. :shrug2:
The horror she feels at the deaths of Dom and DDL almost seems fake.
Early post said she "barely said anything that looked sus" when she actually hadn't said ANYTHING, sus or not. IDK. Fruedian error, attributing scum comments to herself?

inh (never commented on Dataplex)
marmot (never commented on Dataplex)

speed (Aint me)
golden (not in here on N1)

It basically is not the last three.

Scotty - super-light scum
--------------------------------------------------
"I missed a lot and no one is talking about me just farting around over here." - pls talk about Scotty. He wants us to.
"Farting around" is a good description of Scotty's play this game. His accusations are muddy, his conclusions are unsubstantiated and wrong.
His playstyle doesn't seem to have anything behind it. It's like it exists for the sake of existing. That doesn't mean 'scum', but it makes me leery.

Luna - light town
--------------------------------------------------
Showcasing genuine effort, in her analytical approach to Sig's suggestion and her read of LC.
Went with Vompatti's random D1 lynch, which... IDK what to think about that.
Probably has the most well-reasoned read on me of anyone in the game.
I'm gritting my teeth over this read, because Luna always looks like Luna to me. But I don't want to lynch here right now, based on what I see.

Sig's probably right about inh. Does that we mean we lynch him? Well if he's right, then inh isn't mafia so... NO!

But I see your point.

TBF I don't care about Ramsey at all right now. If he can soak up a mafia nightkill before we lynch him, I'm down with that. If we lynch him by accident, that's cool. Besides, we may not even have to kill Ramsey depending on how the game ends up. We have weird win-cons in OP.

I don't think he's scum. The only time speed "town firmed" me was when he was mafia, and knew I was town. The fact that he doesn't trust me this game convinces me that he's town.
This is a thing I do as scum, and only as scum. I defend townies to the death for cred, and I start by calling out a few early on. It limits the lynch pool, but it makes me a towny-friend.

Obviously I can't do this as town because IDK who is who. That's what Luna's picking up on, especially considering how hard I rode my townread of her in... was it Greece?

Blooper/David Njoku has appeared genuine to me although there’s not a lot to go on and I have no experience playing with her.

Scotty doesn’t remind me particularly of his scum game in Easter, and while he’s capable of covering up, he gets a pass for now.

Turnip Head is unreadable but I like the guy and haven’t had a reason to see him as any different as before.

Golden’s introductory posts feel a little too nice for me.

I hesitated with Kyle because I was too eager to give him town cred in UP and it was not good. He feels like he’s just dipping his toes in.
