Day 4 - There Goes the Money

It was the final episode of Smackdown before the biggest show of the year, Wrestlemania. Everyone was determined that the killer would be brought to justice tonight, and the big Pay-Per-View would go off without a hitch. Everyone was gathered on the stage as the Corporation made their way down to the ring.

"Quite frankly, I've had it with these killings," declared Vince McMahon. He motioned at the wrestlers on the stage. "I know one of you is a heartless murderer, and mark my words, you will be destroyed here tonight in this very ring."

"I know who it is!" yelled TH. "It was WOG!"

"DON'T EVER INTERRUPT ME AGAIN!" thundered Vince, but he was drowned out by another voice.

"No!" said Daisy. "It was someone else entirely!"

"She's right! We know who did it! It was...MP!" declared SVS, motioning to MP, who was standing in the ring next to Vince.

"Me? Guys, come on, that's crazy," pleaded MP. "Dad, do something, will ya?"

But it was too late. The mob made their way down to the ring. They carried MP up to the top of the Titantron and threw him off. He survived. So they picked him up and threw him through a glass pane. He survived. So they picked him up and electrocuted him. He survived. Finally they just wrapped him in chains and threw him in the river. Presumably he's dead now, and they could all rest a bit easier, knowing that they had rid themselves of a villain going into Wrestlemania.

MP has been lynched. He was Shane McMahon. It is now Night 4 (Wrestlemania). You have 24 hours to get your PMs in.

Not too thrilled since we really didn't scum hunt to figure it out, but maybe, just maybe we can use who people reacted to the idea to figure something out. This is a nice surprise!

As MP sank to the bottom of the river, another figure crawled out and onto the bank. He didn't say anything, but that was to be expected.

Since WOG had the most votes, I assumed he was lynched. So when I saw the results I just looked for the character and went off to see what alignment they were. I saw they were mafia and thought WOG was mafia......but asiide from being stupid....no I am not teammates with him.

Personally, I have seen people kill their biggest accuser and take the WIFOM route, hell I have done it myself~ becasue then someone is bound to say something just like you just did. You have to weigh the odds of whether or not the person would do such a thing on a person by person basis. There are quite a few people playing this game that would be capable of such a move. Is Lizzy one? I really don't know. But I find your reaction to someone bringing up a valid point just as suspect, if not more so, than the point he made.

You're totally right that it's a move people would try to do. Booms further explained that Lizzy was one of many FZ suspects, maybe 6? Which I would have learned if I kept reading before posting. It just felt too blatant for Lizzy herself, but it appears Boom has not played with her much. Is this correct Boom? Your later statements made it sound like you are not familiar with her game (not that any of us can really claim to know the true "Lizzy")

I am trying to decide where to go from this last lynch. Obviously, a starting place is voters looking to "save" MP, myself included. Frankly, of the group of TH, Epi, K4j, Hedge, MP, and CBK the only person I was suspicious of was Epi and possibly K4J. The MP lynch illustrates the problem I was trying to get out by targeting top posters perfectly. The longer you spend in thread with someone, the more you can begin to trust them. The more time I spent reading MP's thoughts and his back and forth with K4J the more I trusted both of them. So this leave me in a bit of conundrum. I think of review of all of us and voting histories will be helpful, but honestly I think since MP had so many votes early on that at most one of his teammates voted WOG and the others probably voted other places. He worked very hard in thread to get enough votes on one candidate. So at this point I plan a reread of those folks as a starting place, but dont want to have tunnel vision there either.

Yeah- I was going to say that I think there is probably at least one baddie on WOG and one on MP.

Well, this makes things a tad easier. Bullz has had a similar style to MP but toned it down recently. Nicely played! ;) Then, knowing MP as a baddie, I would suggest looking at his list of suspects. He always throws in one or two teammates (just in case) but never actually votes for them, only as a last resort. I think LouLou might a good guess. Yes, I am fully aware I am one of them as well, butt I felt I should leave this here in case I get NK'd (two nights in a row k). I also don't trust the people who have been on my side, particularly Hedge and to a lesser extent K4J.

Also, VOMPSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

Since when have I had a similar style to MP? I rarely make posts as long as his, nor am I usually as active as he is when he gets going. I also don't often use the tactic of distancing from my teammates to the extent he does. Good point on that though, I'd bet that at least one of the people he was 'suspicious' of is a fellow Corporation member.

You know I'm referring to your trying to be helpful, which is not a bad thing, but it has to do with the perception of your trying too hard. These are just nuances, of course, because you are one of the most clever baddies out there (and I have to admit that I am often jealous you're getting a lot of the cool roles :P)

I actually thought it was unlikely that Lou was on the same team as MP, I already consider her to be a townie but MP had no way of knowing anyone was going to be able to stop his suspicion (like I did). To me it came across as if he fully intended to vote for her.
As for being on your side, I just find you are being targeted for a personality issue rather than a behavioral issue. Not sure what to think of Hedgie.

Really? You think the SK would be so obvious? I would think it wouldnt be a smart move to kill someone who directly suspects you, especially for that role. Lizzy certainly has her own style, but she's a damn fine baddie/indie usually. Your encouraging others to vote for Lizzy on this basis makes me :eye: you for the first time Boomer.

That's correct; I don't really have much experience with her game, so I can't be certain if this move falls in her tactical wheelhouse. As to the MP lynch, I'm glad it worked out, but that was crazy as hell. Obviously there was something funky going on vote manipulation/lynch switch-wise, so I'm not even sure if the WOG voters are a good place to start.

It's always hard to know how votes might be manipulated, however I only see two roles that could have had an effect besides secrets. There's a civ lynch switch, which I think unlikely because why would you use it on WOG, and then a Heel that has a vote steal. So of the 6 votes for MP its possible one was stolen. Thoughts? That's the simplest explanation I can see currently.

Lizzy, do you mean "on your side" because I didnt want to vote for you to save MP? Nothing about your play so far gave me enough reason to lynch you over MP, so yeah I wasnt willing to do that. I am not ready to vote Bullz because he has a super civ playstyle, but I do agree its weird so many are "vouching" for him so strongly.

Epignosis, you said that MP had a few tells when he was bad. Did you see those tells in this game? You were insanified yesterday but your vote for WOG made me think you were seeing civ MP like the rest of us.
