I don't necessarily disagree. The analytic impact of GTH reads are often secondary to the activity they produce. On occasion they end up producing meaningful insight (I thought they did in Shockheaded Peter). Sometimes they just exist though.

I thought that was the period when you vaulted out of the shitpost abyss and into a civilian character, and Sloonei was the only other to really voice that to my memory. He noticed the way you altered your take on sabie given the interpretation of her post that you and I discussed. Sloonei took you out of lynch contention for that reason. I thought it was a nice touch.

I read leetic as town early in the day. He was getting schooled in Epignosis Tomfoolery for the very first time and he seemed to grow genuinely frustrated that he wasn’t getting the type of responses from him as he had hoped for.

Then I tried to develop reads from/through him. Because I thought he was civ, and he had a perspective I could trust.

It'd probably hurt a lot but at this point in time i can't really justify putting in the effort that's expected of me to begin with. I only signed up so the game could start.

I tend to null read lean scum to strangers I never play with who play rather neutralish (more because of fear of the unknown). Both sound rather chill with their posts but none show any sharp interest to go after anyone (not detached but not digging deeper much either if I can describe it). Is this just their playstyle or not idk.

I don't trust my gut read. I'm not one with good hunch.

1. I'm not regular in this place. Only played 2 games before this one (Outpost and Hogwarts)
2. I'm signing up as sub not full time player and I have full time job and freelance one
3. I don't go with gut reads
4. GTH is only weak read since null is not accepted as answer
5. Many players here used past games or behavior (that they're familiar with since many of you have played with each other long enough to give easy town/scum read) as a base for their read or to poke them that I have no same access given I only played 2 before and no time to read those past games to compare them all with the one over here since again, I'm busy enough already to even follow this one. Since many do meta read, it's harder for me to read them correctly since their reasoning is meta.
6. I only go after those I have strong read not weak one. 3 I mentioned (Sloonei, Nutella, Colin) have glaring play on Hogwarts and here. I don't go after weak read D1 since I'm bottom up player (I need to see more before I have better/more solid read). I'm bad with gut read, again. It's the same with my read on Luna. I didn't say anything before I see anything consistent or make sense if I think about it.
7. I null read people I have 0 experience with (with slight lean scum when they're neutralish)

i don't think what nutella did was a salad. those are all names that are in the pool of scum-behavior (apart from DDL, i dunno why he's scum reading DDL). i saw a clear streak of CIVILIAN nutella day 1 of day 1, that wouldn't make sense if she was on a mafia team. it's going to take more to dissuade me from that.

You're forcing the idea that GTH is strong read when null is not allowed. I didn't mention them before because they're not my strong read. I based my read on Nutella, Colin and Sloonei from the game I was in with them where they played differently. I'm not even regular here. Playing only 2 games before. Just reread the set up, several things that come to mind:
I think Gunsmiths+Santas shouldn't give any gun tonight and for any town who receive a gun to not use them.

The risk of misfire, fake gun/sabotaged one (that will result on the user getting killed themselves) will kill town more than scum and will thin our number faster. Also with several guns being in the game, how are we going to know which one is done by town and one by scum? Any scum can fake it as "I sus this and this so I shoot them" to justify their kill. Also, lower chance for town to get miskilled by Granny if less of us doing a visit.

By choosing to not use the gun, any kills that will happen = 100% from scum. We can check if they have faction kill or not.

Will be much longer game for us but we won't be a retard by helping them thinning our own number by being a bunch of monkeys with guns.
Going with lynch can help with vote tracking+reasoning behind each lynch - better and safer way to catch scum and track them down.

Orb and Vest (especially vest) should be okay to give/used, at least they can't be used to kill. I'm still unsure about this and would like to hear more opinion about Orb/Vest

If they have FK then it's still safer to not give any guns/use them. Town visiting Granny will result in town's death. Same with fake gun/sabotaged one. Higher chance of them killing town than scum. I don't think going crazy with kill especially N1 is safe for town when our read is still blurry.

I just want to say quickly that I think you've given a very good effort in this game, and that nobody should be disparaging that. You have made nearly 100 posts and have played with energy and fire. Likewise, I have not struggled to understand your English, so you've done plenty well enough there. I'm not sure it came up in your arguments before, but English is not dunya's first language either -- that is something she has contended with at times too. I hope that you'll reconsider your desire to be replaced, because I think you have come upon a view of the game that doesn't quite match with most people's view of you. I for one am glad you've joined us.

Even people who find you suspicious don't mean to disrespect you. We're all trying to figure this game out, and none of us knows all the answers any more than you know them. All of the meta stuff you've referred to isn't even very compelling; it's just one tool in the toolbox for some folks. If everyone is wrong about you, there may be someone trying to take advantage of an easy lynch opportunity. Do you suspect that to be the case for anyone in particular?

I don't think it would be a good use of thread space for me to post a gigantic analysis for Jack. He's the granny until someone tells he isn't the granny.

Still, I'll provide a general overview as I just scanned the post histories. Jack's interactions with DDL look bad. That much I have already observed. Jack's handling of DDL looks terrible at face value in a manner similar to Epi's handling of DDL. DDL's handling of Jack was less overtly gross, but it wasn't good either.

Epi and Jack had a different relationship. They were in love with each other. Their reads were mutually strong in the civilian direction each time they were stated, and they engaged in multiple exchanges of half-relevant banter. None of that stood out to me as particularly egregious beyond ermagerd scum defenderded ther Jack, though post-DDL flip Jack was too forgiving of Epi for "tone".

In short: Jack looks like compatible teammate of them both, especially DDL. That is meaningless though if he is the granny.

And he is the granny until someone tells me he isn't the granny.

We could always shoot to confirm. No harm no foul.

I would shoot leetic or quin but the fear that epi sabotaged me is too real

What do you think of the leetic/Epi interactions that a few of us discussed recently?

I do think that this setup is pretty townsided unless sabatour destroys all gifts so you can have Townie A say they gave a gun to Townie B and Townie B say they got no guns. Probably works better with janitored role flips (not alignments) too or an anticlaim kill.

You wanna minimize townies being able to self confirm through gifts and minimize scum outting by not being able to give gifts.
