so from my understanding of events this is what happened.

1) herm says "all townies in my album will get notified"

2) herm claims to have checked a few albums

3) I say "hold on, you checked my album, I didn't get anything"

4) herm says "sorry I misread my role card, I meant a random townie"

5) odd says "herm is telling the truth. I got notified. herm is town."

so odd can be scum here whiteknighting a townie and pretending to have gotten notified, since by the time step 5) is around, odd already has all the info he needs to make that false claim. if he thinks herm is going to flip, he might say this for towncred.

no because herm could easily be a scum role that checks albums so they can soup kill them or whatever, and notifies them to balance it out. the notification itself doesn't prove herm is town but it does prove herm was not totally making shit up about notifications which would be why oddmerta read herm town if he himself is town.

but again, there's a world where scummerta did this to get cred so like, we can't clear odd off it
