I’m acutely aware that you probably can only talk in off topic today by the way

Yeah, the wife and I got a little angel who is ~2 years old. We figured before even entertaining having a child we’d want to do a trial run with a dog first. She’s a little pumpkin and keeps our hands and hearts full, and is basically our child. I can’t imagine having kids on top of that.

My grandmother had a habit of adopting grandchildren. I call it a habit, because it really was a hobby of hers. It felt like every 3 weeks she’d meet someone at her church that could use a little extra love in their life. I just went to her 90th birthday party and she told me she has 38 adopted grandkids. That’s on top of her 6 real children and the mass of underlings from there. I don’t even know how that’s possible.

Meanwhile my dog wants me to throw the ball and I’m tooo tiiiiirred :noble:

your grandmother sounds like a wonderful lady.
Kids and dogs are possible, believe me. At one point I had a 3 year old and newborn twins and an ancient beagle named Lola.

I'm here!! Went to bed before the results posted last night (because I'm an old person). RIPIYWG (nd you probably were), Splints. (and yes, I know that all of the night victims are likely civ, but I make no assumptions--assumptions are dangerous in this game). And sorry that this post is kind of all over the place.

Splints is a good player, and so I can see why she'd be a N1 target for mafia. Especially if one of the players is someone whom she historically has been able to read. Now I need to remember who that could be. And, mafia knows that anyone not on their team is civ, so is a good target no matter what.

And I should have a normal-er schedule now, so can post more regularly. And maybe actually get reads on people.

Also, I swear that I totally submitted a song for the contest, but now that message seems to have disappeared, and it's super weird. And I'm curious where it went to.

Looking at the visible night results, Kate was Greened and Bea was somethinged. Not knowing what role/circumstance had that effect on Bea, hard to say if that's good or bad. I disagree with whomever said it was a result of the map poll--since she wasn't the only Canada voter, but seems to be the only one whose posts have been altered. And she even said (I think?) that it wasn't Vompatti.

I have more thoughts and I'll remember them later. :)

Yeah I’m still not seeing it.

Apparently someone switched the vote to Vivax, and it wasn’t the guy who said his preferred vote was Vivax.

Sorry Golden- I’m known to say the quiet part out loud.

You’re saying it was Elo?
If it’s really only me who saw it I’m not going to lead the mafia to someone I think is towncleared. For now I think it’s enough for me to say that it’s not the role I have Sloonei pegged as.

No matter how successful anyone is, it means just about nothing.

He has not ruffled my feathers yet. I admittedly have not taken any time to focus on any players in particular this game. Nearly all of my activity has been sitting around and engaging with the thread in real time.

I expect to fix that tomorrow afternoon.
The fact that you've been devoting this much time to the game but not taken time to look at anyone specific is pingy.

As you have kids and your family slowly grows, you adapt and manage to make time for the things you want to do. Kids don't normally want your constant attention, at least not the ones I know. I've always worked from home, so mine have learned how to entertain themselves for hours at a time after we are done with school. And now that they are older, we have to be intentional about spending time together as a family every day outside of meals.

Not much progress today.

@DFaraday how much of the thread have you read? Do you have thoughts?

@LoRab got any reads yet?

I don’t like how quiet it is. Suggests the mafia are under no real pressure at all. The game is coasting.

@Vivax i have decent trust in you because by the time he left I had a good town read on Axe. Have you got any new thoughts or changed thoughts, given as Indy you might have been withholding?

Has @G-Man posted today?

@Elohcin did being close to lynch give you any insight

@Quin - no questions. But you do one major Scotty/eloh thing and it feels like you’ve been coasting ever since. I remember there was a game where I was mafia and I was false reading you as mafia, and you were far more reactive and defensive, feels like your approach to suspicion is to go quiet and hope I start looking elsewhere (don’t remember what game it was though) [VOTE: Quin] aubergine

For what it's worth, I wasn't working then and had a lot more time for mafia. It's about as good a defence you're going to get out of me if you're scum reading me for coasting.

And here’s the truth, just not doing much was kinda successsful because my brain got bored and started looking at other people. Which I need to do as well, but I can see how I would fall away from voting you through entropy rather than actually suspecting you less, and that’s the problem.

I don’t like how quiet it is. Suggests the mafia are under no real pressure at all. The game is coasting.
Not really. I’m not thinking about bea and kate until tomorrow. And really wanting to know what happened to bea. I have more players I feel good about than am suspish of. Which makes sense in terms of numbers, but is annoying. Not wanting to name who I feel goosed about because don’t want to help mafia. And not convinced the game secrets don’t contain weirdness that makes the allegiances less obvious than they seem.

Indeed. This post pinged me a lot, even though I do not really see mafia voting for Sloonei yesterday and I have previously had a town read on Scotty. There is tension here in my feelings about him.

I could see DH being bad. His summaries on Day 1 were lengthy, but largely empty. Classic trying to look helpful but not actually being that helpful behavior. I continue to suspect Quin. I also don't like how quiet it's been today, although I have little room to talk because I wasn't around either.

This is the only explanation I can think of. Did you have any thoughts on it?

Oh I’m confident rev mafia isn’t Sloonei. I was wondering if it might have given you insight into people voting for you, but you know there’s no guarantee of that, I didn’t get any insight into wilgy from his vote for me.

Obviously I can make no comment about what role Sloonei may or may not have.

But Elohcin just posited a theory in which Sloonei is a specific town role. The conclusion she draws from this theory, however, is that it points toward Sloonei being aligned with the mafia team.
Mafia Eloh probably knows which roles are mafia-aligned. Thus, she does not make a mistake like this.

Makes total sense. IF mafia didn't vote for Sloonei AND you voted for Sloonei, THEN I would have a hard time reading you as mafia. Given that that is not the case, it is easier for me to read you as mafia.
