Sorry you had to go, thank you for making the day one lynch go so beautifully.

Have any of you bidders thought this through?
Definitely. Many a player will have $200 added to their bid due to the lynching of Made, and will certainly want to join the bidding.

My intention will be to jack up the price for them, particularly if a baddie will want to place a bid. We may not know who will ultimately receive the deed, but we can be certain they will pay a large amount for it.

Night 1 Event: I have a list of 24 powers currently (there are some more that are locked up because I'm RNGing everything and don't want them to be able to get listed yet). You may PM a power description you think is one of the 24 that is not 1 of the three already confirmed (or protect/roleblock), and if you're right, you will get 1 extra vote you may send in during any lynch. If you submit one that is not on the list but I like enough to put onto the list, you get 2 any time votes.

Is it first come, first served? Do you accept duplicate ideas?

For example, if I send in "Magical Pancake Power" and then Epig sends it in a minute later, am I awesome and Epig is outta luck?

First one in would get the 2 for getting it on the list, any subsequent idea that's the same would get 1 since it was then on it.

@boo
Team 1: Railroads (4)
Each night, every member of this team searches for another member of the team. If they find anyone on their team, they get BTSC. Searching continues until all 4 find each other, unless any of them get lynched. None of the 4 can be nightkilled until all living members have BTSC. They kill odd nights, with the kill randomly being assigned to one member each night, until they all have BTSC, at which point it will specifically be assigned to one member.
Does this mean that they can no longer search? Or am I reading into it? If it DOES mean they do not continue to search, are they then not able to be NKed permanently?
zeek wrote:Cya Made :D Why is anyone bidding on his card? It's hardly useful, is it?
I looked over the rent list for B & O, and the rails get double the rent of owning 3 rails for owning all 4 http://monopoly.wikia.com/wiki/B._%26_O._Railroad (assuming they can collect by owning the 4th card when the 4th member is dead? boo??). So, keeping it out of the hands of the other rails can't hurt.

They still search, the unless they get lynched is in reference to, for example, if the 3 remaining members found each other, they wouldn't keep sending in PMs since the 4th was lynched. They can't be NKed until all of the living members have BTSC.

Yes, Railroads work by increasing in value for each one you have ($25 if you have one doubles to $50 for 2, $100 for 3, $200 for 4). If one of them got it and none of them had BTSC, they would get $50 per instead of $25 (with only the first $25 being listed if either property were landed on so as not to out them). Works similarly for civvies, owning the property of the one you start with in the event a teammate dies lets you get double rent if both/all 3 are together and build on them when you want (the doubling not showing up again to keep from outting you, if one of them was purchased in a post lynch and not traded. If it traded hands it would show up, but that's also the case for the railroads). And to be clear, the trading/selling of properties is all anonymous unlike the bidding. Say player 1 gets Short Line at the end of this bid, and then decides they want to turn around and sell it, they can do that ask another auction, setting whatever minimum bid they like, or just request offers, or if another player wants to ever put an offer on it, they PM me what they'll pay/trade/some combination (specifying what property your after rather than which player you think has it is fine), I PM that to Player 1, etc. It gives some creative work-arounds for trading properties to keep things from being obvious if you're so inclined.

More than you asked, but some things I think should be out there since it'd probably come up later anyways.

Nice job lynching Made.

Here's a thought. There are 3 players who would love to get their hands on the card. What if we pick someone who is the most trusted in the game (of course we vote on that), which granted is hard to pick at the moment, but still, and we let them make the bid. It's a risk, because we could end up picking a baddie, but on the other hand, all other players can't hide behind "I'm trying to prevent the baddies from getting it" excuse, and if one of the players falls on it later on, and the money is doubled, we know that person was bad in the first place.

FZ. if I understood what boo said the payout on the railroad will not show up as double the amount, it will show up as just the regular amount so as not to out the person.

MM you say you are trying to bid up the price so the baddies will have to pay a lot for it but your bids are actually behind everyone else's because you don't have the $200 add in. Help me understand why you are bidding, it could have been something I missed.

I feel like maybe I have all this information slightly scrambled because some people are saying things that don't make sense to me.

linki: TH, does boo not provide a thread with the votes? If not, thank you.

Anyway, day 1 votes are always hard and I hate to vote random. So far I don't really see any of the big BTSC debaters as bad per se, so I am gonna vote for Made for bidding quite a lot of money on a special power but backing out when Elochin bid 250, if I were a baddie I wouldn't want people to think I had too much money on my hands either. It's not a very good reason, but it's day 1 and it is a reason nonetheless.
Where do you live?
Leeds, UK

And wow I voted for Made before the slip-up for a minor reason but I guess my reasoning was solid enough then. And yeah I like FZ's plan in theory, but I am definitely not trusting anyone enough yet to make the plan a reality

TH, I also switched my vote to Made... as of now, I'm not bidding on it anyway, but it did happen. Here's the graphic, had to shrink it a little because it's a big game right now.

Sounds good, I nominate you, you seem trustworthy. :feb: Go ahead and win the bid.
juliets wrote:FZ. if I understood what boo said the payout on the railroad will not show up as double the amount, it will show up as just the regular amount so as not to out the person.
I thought that boo was saying that the doubled amount WOULD show up when landed on. I also could be wrong.

Thanks Long Con for correcting my record and providing a graphic. I don't know how I missed you because I remember clear as day you saying you want to change. Sorry!

Also, I'll go back and find when boo spoke to that issue of the doubled amount and would it show.

I didn't expect to find it so quick. Here's what he said:

If one of them got it and none of them had BTSC, they would get $50 per instead of $25 (with only the first $25 being listed if either property were landed on so as not to out them).

Corrected vote changes:
Long Con from Epi to made
Keys from SVS to made
MM from MP to made

This is a terrible idea too. Whoever wins this card is a prime candidate for a NK, but making sure the most trusted player gets it means you lose the person most people will listen to/trust as well.

For a potential extra $200 added to my bid if he would have been lynched. Nothing more. If I had come back on before the lynch, I would have changed to Made, but at the time, Epi had the lead over any other player 3-1.

And I did not want to lynch Epi today, and LC had voted him.

Woo awesome result! Sorry you got lynched Day 1 again Made, but yay for getting a baddie!

I was gonna bid, but good point about being a NK target...perhaps not, then. And it's way too early to determine who's "trustworthy," if there's such a thing as "trustworthy" in mafia.
