This narrative is possible. I think if we get into the final stages of the game and you’re still around, I’d be scratching my chinny chin chin in suspicion

Golden wrote: Sun Dec 04, 2022 12:37 am One interesting thing in splints iso is that they ask who they should iso next, SVS offers sabi as a possibility for a fresh perspective, and splints doesn't do it.

I think SVS's choice of sabi was actually a very strong one, and her logic sound, and town splints perspective on sabi would have been valuable (and was urgent in the sense that it's too late now).

I dunno whether I think this is AI or just splints not having the time to follow through. Have to mull on that.
Yeah I wondered about this too.

Everyone who has said something about me minus Scotty has said civ. Also it would've made Lucy look really bad after we had our fight, which assuming Lucy is civ would make it obvious to her.

Not if Lucy had anything to do with it. And I still think she did. Her vote yestetday and wanting to eliminate a low poster.

Gun to head, my call for bad team is Lucy, Soneji and one of Splints or Mata, maybe Neon.

I think Bea would have been replaced already if she were bad, and Rox has a certain tone when she’s bad, especially if someone has spoken nastily to her. Last night after Lucy called her “Fucking Roxy”, she responded pretty calmly to it. It’s a long time since we’ve played together and I could be 100% wrong since this is a tone read. But that sharp element she has when bad is missing.
I think seanzie is right re lucy - I think we should let the cop/deputy deal with it. Or at least give her some space to get to play freely and see what comes, she's been under constant suspicion since the start, and I think it is inevitable that she effectively solves her own slot from here one way or the other.

This was my EXACT thought when I saw no death. How likely do you think it would be that one of them missed the night kill PM.
I’m wondering if GMan has a mechanic in there. I dunno if we’d get confirmation one way or another but I’d assume he would randomize. Or maybe that’s just how the recent games I played have gone. Could be GMan could punish mafia for not doing so.

I’d still like to believe it was a save tho

Falcon and neon were off wagon. Bea and roxy didn't vote. Lucy voted in self-defence. Mata was on sabi. Fingersplints and soneji were on lucy. I'm almost inclined to let Scotty in to my town circle, but for completeness he was also on sabi. This doesn't give me a tonne to work with right now, but I'm noting that stuff for myself for future reference.

I note that I also still feel a little urky lurky about this from soneji

@Soneji noting your later entry to the game, what was your philosophy on entering a thread that was well underway?
No different than normal, as I normally enter later than most regardless.

In the busier part of my work day and sleep deprived, but I'll get to things later tonight. matahari pressure in nice to see, they have the actual wolfiest post I've seen this game with their d1 readslist.

Oh my fucking gods. So much of this should be ot green but you guys. I CAN'T even ass out which parts should be ot vs are important to game stuff.

I completely came into this game behind. Not knowing I subbed in till svs was all "hey! Game!" That was the day I did q close/open in the resteraunt. The day I actually posted, I literally crammed all those pages into my brainz eating lunch during an o/c. I had Wed off, and I slept a lot that day. Got a hair cut and tried to start decorating the xmas tree diggz left to me to do to you know, contribute to the household. All of Wed.l forgot I was playing a mafia game. Thurs was all fuck. Try to catch up. Miss the vote and friday play catch up more.

I get why the night cycle gets locked and honestly if you look back at the anni game that was when I did a large chunk of posting. Between resteraunt life and east cost hosts more of my free time tends to fall on night cycles.

I have asked to be replaced because the town doesn't deserve a bea that forgot she was playing a game. And neither does gman. If that can happen, cool. In the meantime - I will keep trying.

eh

3 schools of thought with NK analysis, that may overlap in many cases:
Either
A) the mafia is quakin in their booties about that player going down the right track
Or
B) the mafia want to doc dodge and pick a target that’s innocuous enough but not obvious town
Or
C) the mafia pick a target that don’t implicate anyone and give almost a wash on analysis

I combed through marmot’s ISO and had a lot of C, where I wanted to see a lot of A, and came up mostly B. B and C often go hand in hand.

I don’t think marmot had a lot of indictments on others. It wasn’t like he was steering the thread on any one person- and unfortunately his biggest contribution was helping pile on Wilgy. That rainbow list included you and mata as semi scum reads, which I latched onto but in the end I think it has more to do with
-he didn’t have much suspicion one way or the other
-he probably didn’t incriminate any mafia.

It was a clean kill and I don’t like kt

One step at a time bea- while I understand the want to be replaced, know you’re letting yourself down more than us and I know how overwhelming it can be to be behind. Backreading is a pain in the ass.

Perhaps trying to read from the present can help? Fresh eyes and all that.

You can do it

Also I had a thought that I think is a good thought and I’m surprised we didn’t bring this up in D1:

I think we should utilize the roles better. I contend we should AIM to tie the vote today. But this is only preferable if we ALL consolidate onto 2 people.

Thoughts?

It's only a clean kill if mata is town
But like how would that mafia conversation go?
Mata: “oh no, marmot has mild suspicion of me. Icarus is flying too close to my sun. He needs to go”
Mafia B: “go for it, I believe in you”
Dennis: “Shouldn’t we go for someone more obvtown?”
Mata: “no Dennis, look at me, look at me; I am the captain now”

I don’t see it

Bingo.

And I doubt they’re voiding someone that had a problem voting before. So I’d count out like bea/Roxy..maybe splints as targets. They would want to target someone with a town tendency that could conceptually be dangerous in a wagon situation.

Which is why I think if we all consolidate onto 2 players, there is a very good chance someone will be chopped.

Doesn't this plan just, potentially, identify civilians. What exactly are we trying to gain with this plan? Keep in mind it's very late and I'm running on fumes.

Yeah I mean that’s part of why I said the thing was bad analysts to begin with.

But it depends how right marmot was. Eg svs called out me/Michelle/Quin in a single post in anniversary and that’s just too dangerous to let live. So, I could see it cooking both ways.

Right now I could also easily vote fingersplints though. I’ll wait for bea’s replacement before trying to solve that spot.

In a recent game, Wild West FM, you were taken to final 3 and immediately voted the last wolf, resulting in a LyLo that was strictly speaking over in four minutes and two posts. This game, we’re giving you the chance to accomplish a similar feat.

Oh god i had a reads post thar I lost based on phone death. Life really doesn't want me to be able to play this game. Let's try agan:

Sonji is my new marromot. I know he is skilled. I haven't seen anything that sparks trust.

Svs and kate feel civ. They are my strongest gut reads.

Golden isn't far behind. He is different this game than last. Even with the new meta.

Of the og inactives - outside myself, I feel best about rox. Mata has her issues too that make me want to give a pass. I feel less sure of splintsy. If we had to lean here, i am sad to say my day 1 vote wouldn't change. I am also 3rd person super curious as to why she isoee falcon and not sabi.

Speaking of falcon - when I catch up, I find myself thinking he is asking good questions and I always forget he is playing. That worries me.

Scotty feels different this game too. Nothing i am 100 on, just interesting to me to note at this time.

Dennis is playing an amazing nooob civ game. I am ok with leaving him at this read for now. And I am going to take the great noob civ game at face value cuz apprently in this game, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. But what I do know is that just like the civ apple doesn't fall from the tree - neither does the wolf. And I reserve the right to recind this civ for now card. Cuz Dennis has already proved he has skillz.

LUCY - sweet lucy - thank you for giving me shit for being inactive. You were the only one. After the anni game when I flipped civ, i feel like my firends are giving me a pass. I agree with you btw - my gameplay has sucked donkey ass. Not knowing me personally, i love that you called me on that. What do you think of other lower participants like mata, roxy and songei?

@lucy and splinsy. I am sorry i missed one. I am so tired

The other way is to get w/w wagons.
Also fwiw you might not get a bea's replacement and just have to try to solve my dumb rl nubness vs am I a wolf. You have been a wolf with me. So has svs. Kate has had civ btsc with me.

What are your odds calculater on "I had a day off and I forgot I was playing a mafia game" if I had btsc?

2) i'm gonna play more tomorrow cause i'm still frustrated we have had v/v wagons for 2 cycles
Why is that so obvious?
Everyone who has said something about me minus Scotty has said civ. Also it would've made Lucy look really bad after we had our fight, which assuming Lucy is civ would make it obvious to her.
I will be very surprised if the kill target was not me.

This feels really random please elaborate

Spoiler: show
You are Zenon, Town 1-shot Desperado. You’re known for posting a lot (namely in anime gif form), playing a lot, and, most importantly, making snap decisions – particularly in the endgame. In a recent game, Wild West FM, you were taken to final 3 and immediately voted the last wolf, resulting in a LyLo that was strictly speaking over in four minutes and two posts. This game, we’re giving you the chance to accomplish a similar feat.

High-Risk High-Reward (Day 2+, 1-shot, Immediate): Spend 6 Snapvote Charges, post Fuck it we ball glgl in bold red text, and ping a player. (When you use this ability, you should also inform the hosts privately.) If they are Town, you will strongman die. Otherwise, you will strongman kill that player. This action resolves instantly.
