I agree with this. I think that it leads to laziness too. Players will find that the day is near end and they don't want to take the time to catch up, so they say to themselves, "Oh well, I already have a vote on someone so I'll just leave it there."

I also agree with this.
S~V~S wrote:Voting for people for no reason just for lulz is my least favorite thing, tbh.
But SVS, the only think I hate worse than voting for lulz is self-voting :P Haha! But I'll let it slide this time.

Zebra, you are coming out at SVS pretty hard for this RSV issue. This is the first thing to register on my "concern" radar. Anyone else?

Count Dracula's daughter hit puberty, and the old vampire had to take her to Val-Mart for some undergarments shopping to accommodate her bosoms.

They selected some items and visited the fitting rooms.

Count Dracula sat outside reading his legacy Twilight while his daughter tried on something. She was in there a while and he could hear her grunting.

"Are you experiencing difficulty, my darling?" he asked.

"Yes father."

"Then let me come in and assist you."

"Stay out father! Zebra doesn't fit!"

Oooh, pressure XD Eventually, the name kinda flows off the fingertips--errr, or, something like that. It is rather annoying, however, if I have to re-enter it on my phone.

Voting in this game will be different for me with the morning poll ending times - I go into work before 7 and don't get out until at least 3 (and usually home between 4-5. Wow. God. I work too much), so I'll be voting super early in the evenings (as in, voting sometime in the evenings, super early by voting standards). I'm used to voting towards the end, so it'll be a change. But I imagine others will be in the same boat.

Gonna go different and vote for BWT, because he hasn't posted as far as I can tell. Pressssssssure. I'll stay in here for a bit tonight to see if that changes or if something else comes to light. Also, discussion while I can!

Linki - Ah, pressure's on the striped one now!

Linki again - *epic facepalm* (or should I say, *Epi facepalm*? :shifty: )

Do I suspect anyone else, you mean? Not yet, no. Why does this concern you? Do you not see her words as contradictory to her actions? I haven't voted for her yet because I'm not sure it's alignment-indicative (for her) but I don't see how you can agree with contradictions.

OMGUS is "Oh My God You Suck" it's when someone votes for someone just because they voted for them. So my accusation of that towards Sloonei is a joke.

I actually cracked up at Epi's pun, Blooper. But the 'ol lug could always make me laugh.

thank you for the OMGUS explaination Z. I was concerned by your reaction to SVS b/c I saw her vote as ironic, a joke, as she said it was. I think you overreacted. Overreacting is something baddies do when they are getting suspected for something that really isn't suspicious. You thought you were being suspected by SVS even though it was really a joke and you overreacted.

The reason why I don't think you read my posts is that you say that you saw her vote as ironic and a joke, as if I didn't acknowledge that, but I did. It's also strange that you make a statement about overreacting as if it were encyclopedic fact that it is always suspicious; incredibly ironic given that you were expressing agreement with S~V~S in the same breath, perhaps the best example of a player who overreacts as a civ. If you read my posts it's clear that I did not think I was being suspected by S~V~S, I was pointing out that if it was a genuine suspicion, it was unexplained, and if it wasn't a genuine suspicion and was in fact a joke (more likely in my opinion) then it demonstrates that S~V~S' reasoning about being against RVS is disingenuous, because if she actually felt that it could result in people forgetting to change their votes then why would she participate in doing so herself? So, as I made clear in my back-and-forth with her, either possibility - both joke and genuine suspicion - doesn't look good.

I agree, her overreactions were a definite civ tell. If it weren't for them I may be voting for her, but overreactions with some players tend to indicate being town. ;)

You usually do.

Yes, SVS was getting upset. a2thezebra thought to tell us how awesome RVS was,so I did not think she would think much of it if an RVS vote fell on her. And I was right. *I* found it amusing; she did not.

I think voting is srs bsns for the most part. I think RVS is just a tool to obscure intent and to make joke votes for people you actually would like to lynch. I hate it. But other people don't and that is cool. To each his/her own.

And thats about all that that was. I will get a grip on my temper and this will not happen again :)

I think it is more likely to be a tool used by mafia. This provides them with the abilityto set up future lynches, as well as excuse there day 1 actions. For a player who says day 1 mafias are the easiest to catch you think you'd be agaisnt allowing them the opportunity to not explain their vote.

I get that you think I'm contradicting myself.
Do you not see how saying that overreactions are a baddie tell as if it were a fact while also saying that S~V~S seems like a civ in this game could be seen as contradictory?

linki @ sig - Well this got kinky out of nowhere.
Did Charlie Brown's teacher join us tonight?

Here are the contradictions that S~V~S presented that bothered me:

Saying that RVS just leads to people forgetting to move their votes, and then going on to immediately participate in RVS.

Saying that voting for no reason just for lulz is her least favorite thing, despite that she voted for no reason just for lulz.

Saying that voting for people for no reason just goes against the grain in games with changeable votes...because of previous experience with games without changeable votes.

Saying that she voted for me as a poke because I was lecturing her, even though I had yet to say anything directly to her when she voted.

Saying that her vote was ironic because I was the one promoting RVS so I was the one who got the vote. Fine, so why criticize RVS at the same time?

I voted for myself becasue I did not want to argue with Zebra anymore. I don't particularly think it was an overreaction, either. She & I don't play well together at times.

This is true. She's not making this up. It's so cool to read someone say something on the Internet and know that it's actually happening.

I get the feeling that you've been reading everything I've said so far in the game as referring to SVS' vote on me, when in reality very little of it - even the content directed at and about S~V~S - is referring to her actual vote on me (and if you had been reading my posts instead of claiming them to resemble the work of Ms. Othmar as an excuse to ignore them then you would understand this). The overreaction I was talking about for example is referring to her self-vote, not her vote on me.

We really seem to have a consistent miscommunication issue. I think I've made it pretty clear (even in the post that I think this is responding to) that I have no issue with a joke, I have an issue with the contradictions that the joke is a part of.

S~V~S and contradictions are a thing. I've learned the hard way over a long period of time that it doesn't make her bad.

I agree, which is why I haven't voted for her. I'm still going to point out the contradictions because that's what I am called to do.

In your opinion, what are S~V~S' baddie tells?

What concerned me most about Zebra was her going after SVS's joke of a vote.

It was not a specifically a contradiction, it was a joke. The point of humor is often the contradictory nature of what is funny vs. what is reality. It was funny BECAUSE it was contradictory.

I hate RVS, and you think it is OK, so *I* voted that way for you in a total reversal of expectation. You were not amused.

That is why it was funny.
