That's tough, because of course we love our hikes, but at the same time she loves to run off leash. I guess, if it were up to her (rather than me) and she had to choose only one of those, I think she'd choose play in the yard. She loves to run off leash, especially if soccer balls are involved in some way. (I'd probably choose the walk myself, though.)

It's 3:00 am and you can't sleep. You have to get up at 6:00 am. Do you still try to get some sleep, or just decide to stay up?

Work odd hours or work consistent hours for slightly less pay?

When I was younger, I worked odd hours and thrived on it. Now not so much, my body wants stability. So stable hours ftw.

Dem games.

I'm learning to code video games though, so that's not a selfish answer. :meany:

Preach on Sunday or twerk on Saturday?

Well, the past few years I make some jerky and unattractive movements when I first wake up in the AM, so I will say twerking. I think any preaching I did might get the congregants in trouble.

Would you rather run an economically successful Caribbean Island country but be high on the US's enemy list, or run a poor city-state in the deserts of the Middle East but be allied with all of your neighbors?

As a woman, I think I would have problems, both personal ethical problems, as well as external misogynist problems, running a nation in the Middle East and allying with the Saudi Royals. So I will run the US unfriendly Caribbean nation and cozy up to Cuba & the DR.

Would you rather watch all 7 episodes of Allen Gregory plus the pilot for King Star King, or the entire first season of The Nutshack?

Re: Would you rather - -

by a2thezebra
I had to google all three of those, I had never heard of any of them. From the looks of things I'll take the former, because Allen Gregory at least has Jonah Hill going for it and King Star King doesn't look half bad actually. The Nutshack on the other hand appears truly deplorable and I don't think I could stomach (perhaps literally) an entire season of it.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel? I'm referring to the shows, not the characters.

I never watched either but one of my closest friends absolutely loves Buffy, so let's go with that.

Vacation in Guangzhou or Hyderabad?

Re: Would you rather - -

Posted: Sat Jul 16, 2016 10:47 am
by S~V~S
If you mean Hyderabad in India, then there~I would love to see India. If you mean Hyderabad in Pakistan, then Guangzhou. Pakistan is a wildly beautiful place, but I would imagine it is not the safest place for Americans to visit. Plus not sure how much I would enjoy seeing the lives of the women and girls there. So the combo of seeing something upsetting to me, with the fear of speaking up, would make that a total no go for me.

I have a love/hate with China. I think the history is compelling and the arts & many aspects of the culture are amazing; when I was a child I loved the *idea* of China. I also find, however, the general Chinese treatment of animals to be horrific & cruel. So I would probably get myself into trouble there, running about in markets screaming & trying to release animals,or trying to find bear bile farms blasting "Born Free" on my iPod. Although I would feel safer doing so there than in Pakistan.

Helicopter tour over NYC or an evening on a SC gambling boat?

Helicopter tour over NYC. I don't know what a gambling boat is, but I find tour rides on a water surface to be pretty meh in principle; meanwhile I do love some heights panorama.

Tabouleh or Ceasar's salad?
Tabouleh- I've never had it.

A gambling boat in the US is for states where gambling is illegal (although ironically, these states often have government-run lotteries  ). While docked, no gaming can take place, but once in international waters, people are free to play whatever games are offered on board. Often these boats offer free drinks to participants. They also usually come with a buffet and live entertainment.

You have $100 in free chips on this boat: Do you play Craps or Roulette?

Talkative bartender or quiet bartender?

Re: Would you rather - -

Posted: Sat Jul 16, 2016 6:09 pm
by S~V~S
Quiet. Just like I tip the people who cut my hair in advance not to talk to me. Not a fan of small talk with strangers.

When it comes to talking to strangers,do you like to approach, or would you rather be approached?

Re: Would you rather - -

Posted: Wed Jul 20, 2016 3:36 pm
by a2thezebra
I'd rather approach. When I'm approached I tend to overcompensate politeness, whereas when I approach others I'm more blunt (and therefore more natural).

Would you rather rap battle Kendrick Lamar or participate in a huge fishing competition where the person who catches the second-biggest fish has to eat its entirety?

I'd feel more suited with a rap battle, which I've done before (and won- I gave this poor student a shameful nickname in the wake of my performance, I'm sad to say). Despite having grown up in the South, I've never really been fishing.

Eye in the Sky

Would you rather go to a concert of a band you love performing in a poor venue with terrible acoustics, or to a concert of a band you know very little about (but heard great things) at a fantastic venue?

Poor Venue. True love is true love.

The kind with nuts inside, preferably filberts. (random answer)

Although, it makes sense to give random answers to the random questions thread.
