Middleoftheroadism if I *had* to choose minimalism.

Shopping alone for sure. Not that I have friends to shop with.

Be a world famous accountant or a hardly known tattoo artist?

Re: Would you rather - -

by S~V~S
Oh a tattoo artist. Art > practicality every day of the week for me. Which could explain why I am a grown ass woman still living in an apartment, lol, but it is who I am. Also my Dad is a vaguely well known accountant (he was president of both county wide and statewide Accounting organizations) and, again, even as a grown ass woman, the last thing I would ever want to be is what my Dad is. So art ftw!!

Would you rather *your child* be an accountant or a tattoo artist (moderately successful in both cases)?

Simon? Accountant, no question.
Abigail? Tattoo artist, no question.
Ephraim? Accountant who includes a free tattoo for each tax return completed, no question.

Be a guest wrestler in a WWE match or play pinball blindfolded until you got 1,000,000 points?

Blindfold pinball for the win. I am so bad at physical confrontation, even highly scripted as is wrestling. I would just roll over and quit.

Be a fashion designer for a French haute couture house, or be a lumberjack?

Lumberjack so I can sing the song and mean it lol

Go on a blind date or date an ex all over again?

Date an ex. I'm terrified of different things.

After a break up, ok to see your ex socially, or never see that fucker again?

Always remain on good terms. Strange thing was breaking up with my teenage long distance girlfriend (of a few years) whom I only met once in my life, and she came to visit us not too long ago (her in-laws live in the same county we do). It was our second time meeting.

Visit Kyoto or Tokyo?

Kyoto. If I want to see modern neon metropolises, I can do that here. Kyoto I would think gives a better sense of traditional Japan.

Would you rather have unlimited respect, or ultimate power?

I think unlimited respect is unlimited power, so the former, surely.

Day at the spa or day at the gym?

Oh the spa. It SHOULD be the gym, but given the choice, it's the spa every time.

Responsible. I am a very tame fellow.

You have a new mouse for your computer. It has cascading colored lights along the accent lines. Leave them on or turn them off?

Re: Would you rather - -

I would turn them off. I've seen them (I have nephews) , and i would find them distracting. I'm kind of a squirrell when it comes to shiny and flashing.

If I won that, I'd think I'd have the ability to do all of the that.

Weren't the latter also the former? :ponder:
Roxy wrote: Sat Mar 25, 2023 11:17 amWhen you are blue would you rather sit and watch TV or listen to music?
That depends. Watch TV if I have nothing else to do. Listen to music if I am occupied. A game of some kind with the family is usually the best thing to bring me out of a funk though.

Knowing 100% for sure. I don't care if I can prove it, just being aware of it would be enough.

If you saw a stranger stealing food, would you do something about it? Or would you walk away?

Probably wouldn't do anything about it cause really, that's not my business and I don't want like. A target on my back for a kinda petty crime, in the off chance that happens. Also what if they need it and blah blah blah, just not worth the effort

If you could get your entire body roboticized, would you? Like full on, even robot organs. This is not the same as immortality, to be clear

A guided tour, I find that without pointers it's hard to find anything to do. Also I'm a child and I need a supervisor lol

That's interesting I 100% would go with magic I don't care how immature I might

Fake houseplants, because I'd kill any real ones

If you had to remove 1 room from your house permanently, which would it be? (Not really a would you rather question but just go with it)

I’d get rid of the room where I keep the dead houseplants

Would you rather never eat cheese again, or never wear gloves again?

Re: Would you rather - -

Wow those are two things I would not like to give up, but are also not particularly important. Well done

I'd get rid of wearing gloves, because cheese is in way more dishes than I probably realize, and y'know what I can get someone else to do whatever nasty thing I was gonna do. Or wash my hands reaaal hard and try to forget

Would you rather always feel a slight ache in all of your muscles, no matter if you're injured or not, or have to blink twice as often as you do now?

Re: Would you rather - -

Oh blink, no question. I had a pinched nerve that led to upper back and shoulder pain, and the constant ache was awful, because it was all I could think about, and if it did finally subside, I would move wtong and it would come right back.

Would you rather wear only ugly, unfashionable clothes for the rest of your life, or fashionable clothes that don't quite fit right? Almost, but not quite.

Fashionable clothes that don't fit because GOD I can't stand ugly clothes. I don't know what it is but ugly clothes make me freak out

Would you rather sometimes teleport where you were 3 seconds ago, with no pattern, or have 8 legs and have to walk like a spider

You two had some excellent questions.

Time for me to get back into it.

As DANGEROUS as it sounds, teleport. Eight legs means more four times more soap, and in this economy?

Would you rather be the greatest stage magician known or be a REAL wizard who can never reveal your powers (which would cause you to lose them)?

I’m a moody loner, I’d be fine keeping it to myself.

Always an hour late, or always an hour early?

Always an hour early, because I could camp outside and wait rather than show up too late and miss whatever I'm going to

Would you rather have legs that can extend, or arms that can extend? Let's say triple their current length, and you can retract them as well

Re: Would you rather - -

Arms. As a piano player, that would help (although fingers extending would be even better).

One small local problem. When you add up all the little solves, over time it spreads and can have global impact.

Phone. I hate phones. Never thought I'd say that. "Want to see our menu? Scan this QR code!" "Want to buy concert tickets? Download this app!" How about just take my money and leave me the fuck alone?

And I don't even watch much TV.

Makes me so damn mad.

Have a large lawn full of sandspurs or no lawn at all?

I don’t like lawns, they’re a waste of resources and so unwelcoming to wildlife. So if sandspurs are native to where you live, I’m all for it.

Would you rather meet a living Raul Julia or Joaquin Phoenix?

Re: Would you rather - -

by S~V~S
Joaquin Phoenix. Raul Julia was awesome, but I think Phoenix is one of the greats of his generation. Even though, overall, I found Gladiator, for instance, to be mediocre, his performance alone elevated it. He managed to convey Commodus as incredibly stupid AND incredibly evil, took it WAAAAY over the top, chewed up all the scenery, yet still Commodus was believable. And even with that high bar (for me) I haven't seen him in anything since where I felt he let me down.

Would you rather watch only Al Pacino or Tom Hanks films for the rest of your life?

Re: Would you rather - -

Ton Hanks.

This is going to sound silly, but one of my favorite movies is the Coen Bros. remake of The Ladykillers. It got terrible reviews, and I didn't like it the first time I saw it in the theater.

But my oh my are there layers in that one. I've probably watched the movie over 20 times on DVD and still catch little bits of dialogue or scenery here or there that keeps the movie hilariously fresh.

"Many, many done tunkalow parzen, sheriff. MANY, MANY done tunkalow parzen."

"Many done what ma'am?"

XD

But I like Tom Hanks overall more than Pacino anyway.
