Congrats! I am at 20 down and 20 to go. I'm overall looking to be leaner/healthier/stronger. I know you like yoga...have you heard of Piyo with Chalene Johnson? I bet it would be something you'd like. Its a combination of Pilates, yoga, and a little bit of sweat :). I like Chalene's earlier stuff. Turbo Fire is what I've been working out with.
Is that like yogalates? I've had classes of that before where it combines both praxes - I wonder if it's similar!

I'm posting here, because I'm not allowed to talk pubicly about this yet. (aka facebook) So I'm going to talk here about it.

My GM is getting transfered to another store. I'm first in line to take over the store I'm currently at as the GM.

I could stop it and say I don't want it, but that means training a GM to do the job I frankly probably should be doing and letting them collect the bonus money my store is primed to make. It's time to step up I guess.

Wow. Like I'll have real responsibility and crap!

what sort of prezzie would you like sweet llama?

I'm not sure that I'll get ALOT of extra money - I get a bump in base pay - but it's still a salaried position which means I loose the sweet over time. And I'm expected to work 50 plus hours a week and get paid for 40 - but there is bonus potential. And that's not really been an option at that store for like the whole time I've been there till now.

It's well timed too since diggz and I have been talking a bit seriously about trying to buy his granparent's house.

My gm is on PTO this week and his transfer is unofficially happening when he comes off PTO

When he left today - I almost cried - Like for real I loved this boss more than any boss I ever had -he gave me his keys and I didn't fucking want them.

I know it's a good move for him and it's a great opportunity for me. But even while he was hanging out - I was all - what can I do to help you next? he was all - just come with me to the new store!

I said - is that a realistic option?? like if theylll let us do it - I'm down with that,

It isn't btw but it was nice to dream for a minute,

Here is my kudos to my old GM.

It was awesome to have a partner - from the day he walked in - it wasn't his store - it was OUR store,
It was awesome to meld so well with someone. He was really good at the things I'm not so good at - I was really good at the things he's not so good at.
Between the two of us we were the perfect GM.

He was the best boss I've ever had.

I'm stepping into some REALLY big shoes,

Congratulations bea on your promotion! You have certainly worked hard enough to get it. By what you said in another thread I guess you expect to even work more now. There aren't any more hours in the day. Delegate! But I'm so happy for you, remembering those days back when you were new and that very first audit. I thought for sure you'd quit. But regardless, this is a very good thing to have on your resume. Hope you get a good AM - that seems to make a huge difference.

Which do you prefer.

Books about music and alcohol?
Music about books and alcohol?
Or alcohol infused with books and music?

I announced in the interrogation room that my wife is pregnant again but I forgot to mention that my sister is also pregnant. I get to be a daddy again and a first-time uncle! :D

My poor mother is in for quite a ride. She takes care of my daughter during the day and will be adding our little 2.0 and my sister's kid. The kicker is this: my sister and wife are due a week apart. The end of October is going to be quite eventful!

"the government" was implied by agency.

Since I'm also a government lawyer (albeit it in a very different regime), I wanted to know more!!!

My wife and I bought a new car on Friday. I though the process would take much longer but it took us two days to go from test drive to writing a big fat check. We replaced her 2001 Honda Civic with a 2015 Honda Accord. There's so much room that I swear there's an echo.

After many long months of procrastinating, my new novel is now available!
The Amazon page is here:

And the Goodreads page is here:

If anyone reads it, I would very much appreciate a review/rating on either platform.

ebook format will (probably) be available shortly.

One-dimensional music gig amped into 3-D spectacle? What a stunning idea! :ohyeah:

3D was hardly anything good to begin with, anyway, except for maybe Hugo and Godard's Goodbye to Language.

Figured you'd like that. :P

3-D was always one of those things that was awesome in theory that never worked that well in practice until recently, in my opinion.

As awesome as Kraftwerk was last night and deserving of kudos to me, what I'm equally excited about is that I got to spend time with bea from Thursday afternoon until just an hour or so ago. :noble:

Kraftwerk was awesome. Sockyalex was awesome. I somehow didn't break him with my wild and crazy ways. Daisy kept us in check. Poor girl. SOCKY - DO SOMETHING NICE FOR HER.

I don't have words for how nice it was to run away from everything for a couple days and just chill with some good friends. My only regret was not having more time. :sigh:

In the wee hours of the morning today I became an uncle. :)

My sister had a rough time though. She was in labor for 24 hours until they determined my niece was turned a little sideways, necessitating a C-section. She's also going to be in the NICU for a few days because she has a fever. No pictures to share just yet. I probably won't get to see her until after our daughter is born (which will hopefully be tomorrow).
