enthusiasm was so stupid when a lecture takes less than one realization by me, made me enjoy my phone for stimulation that the lesson didn't provide. in most classes i'd be on my phone 24/7 and participate a lot so teachers let me do whatever since i'd just mess with them and invoke contradictions or questions that were outside of the scope of the class if pressed

Nah. The Fossa's nose looks like Rocky Balboa after his fight with Apollo - that nose is HUGE
The Mongoose's face is nothing but adorable nothing to detract from it's cutness such as a HUGE nose. Did you notice the pupils of its eyes? ADORABLE. Plus Rikki-Tikki-Tavi.

You should go to law school. I used to always argue the position that was contrary to the majority of the students (and usually the prof). i've been doing that since 10th grade, arguing the expected answer became too easy, and i thoroughly enjoy real dissent. in socratic circles when i'm prepared i'm usually the one that takes control of the discussion between 10ish students wherein i say something that's just tricky with plenty of depth, and all the students find ways to argue and i argue back. i enjoyed it a lot because from what i understand people rarely speak freely or engage in arguments with me.Kate wrote: ↑Sat Dec 17, 2022 8:39 amYou should go to law school. I also always used to have a great memory and didn't need to take notes much or read the texts in school, but that has since changed. Its harder for me now, but I get there eventually. I've been really into the Scythe book series. It poses a lot of interesting moral and social questions while also being an interesting story.

I've been reading childrens books only and trying to find some that I can margin write for my Granddaughter my fave so far I found was The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse by Mackesy. I adore it's messages.

Normally this would be OT, but since the host asked, imma call it topical. Last non fiction book I read that I really enjoyed was "I am Not a Serial Killer" by Dan Wells. I have no reason to think Lucy is bad, she seems more interested in figuring out the last game to me so far, so I am not really seeing an agenda re this one. Civs generally always have the same agenda, if someone seems to have a different agenda, that's eye catching. But it's early times.
The only things that stuck out to me so far are Rondo calling out the first three people to post besides him and Falcon, but I didn't see his early game in LGM. This kind of thing could be the norm for him so meh. IIRC he pretty much voted for almost everyone every day, or nearly so, in LGM.
Another is Kate talking about how quiet it is with out Golden and Scotty, but not really engaging outside of OT herself. But it's early days, and I know she isn't feeling well irl, although I decided after last game to stop letting that influence me so much. I like to sort her out early becasue she can blindside me, although i can't remember the last time she was bad in a game where I was civ.
A third is Lemonfairy champing at the bit to start towards the end of zero, then falling off. Could be a time zone thing, I never played with them (hi new to me person!). I see you already voted for them; is this a real vote, a vibe vote or a placeholder until something better comes along vote? Do you have experience with them?

my homesite is NUF (Novel Updates) but I'm playing on FOL and MU recently, more on FOL ig
you can vote me if you think I'm scum, it's fine and part of the game - ik it's more your preference but idk, I definitely would have no qualms voting someone new just because they're new
I also love being NK'd regardless of my role but I feel like I'll live for a long time this game, if just because I'm new to the site
I love cheesecake, it's 100x better than cookies
can't have too much of it though - everything is better in moderation

The conversation you had with her about Istanbul/Mujahadeen felt real. It did not feel staged, it did not have that chatroom, "Let's go banter in the thread!" feel about it. Especially the way you ended it,
...followed by her attempting to reengage, but you just ignored it. It had an, "OK I'm done with this" feel to it.
I botched what? And what would that have to do with this read? I spent most of LGM thinking you were bad, and Dennis was civ, both of which were true. Although I did misread Sabi and Soneji quite badly. I don't have a sense of either of you yet here (although as I said to Neon, I got no sense of an agenda from you in this game, either). My point about the convo here was that it did not feel like two people with BTSC. With masons in this game, it is not a statement of suspicion. It just means if it comes up later in the game, I might exclude you from being compatible with each other as teammates.
