Peyton Manning was terrible, so my opponent's kicker has 18 points. Okay.

Your boy Blue sucks and is gonna lose his job in a few weeks so you need to find a new flex play. Olsen had a bad game but he'll be fine. I don't know what possessed you to draft the Tampa defense, you should try and find a new one because they're gonna be bad all year. The rest of your team played admirably.

Well, hell if I'll monitor any of that. :keys:

I don't remember why I picked Buccaneers, my first options must have vanished by then. I could tell at least that scoring "1" looks pretty deplorable.

The breaking news is less helpful than it was during the drafting. Where can I read about stuff like Blue being dropped, for instance?

Finally, dropping players, getting new ones. How does it work? Do I just use the "Drop" and "Claim" buttons, then wait for the claimed to be mine in order of the waiver?

Good question. There's a lot of resources out there but in your case, without following football, it will sort of feel like studying for a test without ever going to class. Podcasts, articles... I'll send you some of the ones I use and you can decide if it's worth your time.

Yes. Waivers clear in the early morning (EST) tomorrow so get your claims in soon if you want to make any. After waivers process, any unclaimed players will be Free Agents and it's first come first serve. Normally there's some strategy on whether or not to use a high waiver priority or wait til a player hits Free Agency, but our waiver priority resets weekly, so you might as well use it.

I feel bad for Rico, because he doesn't watch football, never played fantasy, and I half-forced him to sign up to make room for you, so I don't mind dishing out a little free advice to start the season. That said, my money is on Rico not doing a lick of research. And he's on his own now :D

Btw diggz I hope your team kept their buttholes nice and clean for my team. Wanna make it interesting? Loser of our match has to change their team name for Week 3. If you lose it's "I am Turnip's Bitch". If I lose... well, state your terms and we'll shake on it :srsnod:

Cards on the table: I just got home from work and only now saw your post about a side bet. I'm all for it if you are still since I'm well aware of the outcome of tonight's game already (looks like Kelce aka "Baby Gronk" shot his wad last week and didn't have any big plays left in him, huh?). I agree to the terms you have set forth, and now here are mine:

You change your name to "Diggz Bottom Bitch" AND you change your (non existant) team pic to this

No it doesn't....Jarryd Hayne has proven rugby players aren't football players:

I can find the audio drop anywhere, but the radio call for that play was HILARIOUS! The announcer was screaming "OMG...THE AUSSIE MUFFED IT! THE AUSSIE MUFFED IT! G'DAY MATE!" :haha:

I saw that :faint: Another good argument for having fractional points.

But now two weeks in, I fear it would be unfair to change anything, since there's already outcomes that would be different if we had had it since the start.

Would it not go back and change previous outcomes? Oh well.

I'd still vote for fractional points. Ties are the worst thing in sports.

As a matter of fact, it looks like I already have voted for fractional points.

I'm not sure if it would work retroactively. I know I could definitely manually adjust scores as commissioner, but undoubtedly there would be people who would be unhappy with the results. If everyone was unanimously in favor of it, I would do it, but we already have dissenters.

I would need everyone in the league to vote, and someone would have to convince Diggz to change his vote. If I get 13 "yes"'s plus the one "Shut up TH", I'll retroactively change scoring to include fractional points.

I'll give this until Thursday night. I'll send out a league PM shortly.

I'm sure it would affect other outcomes as well. That's why I'm not doing it if not everyone is onboard. Looks like we're stuck with what we've got, enjoy your tie :P

Overall points is what affects standings the most, so Epi is still above MM as far as playoff eligibility goes, so the tie is a moot point. If it changes, MM goes above Epi.

I voted for it in hopes that we would have changed it last week before this set of games , but now that we have 2 games under our belt, I don't think it would be fair now, even if it means that I would win. It's something we can put on the list for next year and make sure it's done before the draft. So I'm gonna change my vote to no.
