I am voting to kill Monokuma Here in hopes we have the info we need to finsh this out.
Makoto i sugest checking for an important role that you might not know the identity of.
Also based off today i like sig alot more moving them up to Likey Town.
I really thought sig was going to be Lynch Target #1 when tomorrow starts.
I'll admit I've been keeping my cards close this game, trying to avoid being a target and what not D3 agbe it was 4? I knew I had to kick it up then was fine fading again.
Annnd I didn't join the TH lynch but honestly vased off of today I think my read on TSP may be right and hes a target to pursue tomorrow.
Really there's no reason to lynch me, this has probably been on of my civvies games in awhile.
With Junko submitting to Despair just as her twisted mind had wanted, the survivors of The Killing School Game take the The Button from her and open the door, ready to face the harsh world ahead.
Sabie12 was Makoto Naegi
Trustworthy Liberal was Sakura Ogami
TonyStaryPrime was Aoi Asahina
tedxtr was Kiyotaka Ishimaru
Long Con was Mondo Owada
Okosan was Hifumi Yamada
Sig was Leon Kuwata
And since Hope has prevailed over Despair. All the students win the game, since they never wanted to fall into despair in the first place.

First of all, Congratulations to the town players! This was 100% something new and different that I had no idea would work well or not. Thank you to Quin for helping me manage the game and thank you to everyone who signed up and replaced in. You all played wonderfully and I really hope the paranoia and, hehe, DESPAIR was apparent. Most impressive was the Ultimate Bargain which I have to give TonyStarkPrime and tedxtr props for because either they were really buying into it or they are really good at faking it. (I'll believe the former because damn that was good.)
The biggest thanks of all though has to go to Dragon D. Luffy. Who did a wonderful job with his announcements and it's a shame he was revealed so early. Had he not been lynched until Day 6 the poll actually would have only said the roles and not the names. It's a shame he didn't get to recruit all 3 times but that's just how the game goes sadly.
On a personal evaluation, hosting a game is quite difficult on my schedule and I was late multiple times. As well as I 100% could've clarified things prior to the game starting, and miscommunications were to the detriment of some players. Overall I think the game turned out reasonably balanced, and fun!
Please feel free to tell me about the setup and what you liked and disliked. (don't talk about the host mistakes plz i know i messed up a bit )

Independent:
Monokuma - Headmaster of Hope's Peak Academy
Pick a role each night to “overcome with despair”. The role picked loses their win con and can only win if they kill another player and survive until the end of the game. Each Night You may submit a Text Post to the Host to be read upon day start. Knows ALL game Secrets and Roles. Has a Soup Kill. Cannot be Killed, cannot Vote. Monokuma is not allowed to discuss any role or secret knowledge in thread. Monokuma is targetable by all actions unless stated otherwise. Monokuma can private message any player and any player can pm Monokuma.
*Secrets* (Your true identity is Junko Enoshima - Ultimate Despair.) If you die, or are lynched before Day 6 you reveal as Monokuma and do not die. All players that voted to lynch you have -1 vote power the next day to a max of zero power.
You win the game once there is either only two other players in the game or you Lynch Makoto after Day 6 in the Ultimate Bargain. Night 1 you are forced to recruit Junko Enoshima (Mukuro Ikusaba). You can recruit up to 3 total mafia members.
-Can for-go recruitment to instead learn a who a player visited.
Ultimate Bargain: If Makoto Naegi is alive by day 6 he may issue a challenge to you to end the game. Everyone else must vote to either lynch Makoto or you. If you are lynched, the game ends and all players minus yourself and Mukuro win. If Makoto is lynched you and the living players win. Makoto will have no knowledge other than he can issue the challenge. It is your job to convince everyone to lynch him instead.
So there was no threat of fucking over everyone if you had lynched Makoto. You guys would still have won. It was the opposite, I was hiding the real gold that you would get by lynching me instead.
The point here is that I was the only player who knew the terms of the deal, and Makoto didn't, so I could color it any way I wanted. But the big disadvantage is that, as many have pointed out, I am the confirmed anti-town indie trying to get everyone to lynch the confirmed townie instead. And this seldom works.
In my years of mafia experience, I've noticed townies never side with anti-town in such situations, they get competitive and responsible and lynch the scum instead. Maybe people would be more pragmatic if this happened in real life, but in a game, people want to be the good guys. So when I first read my role PM I knew I had a very difficult task ahead of me.
So I decided to employ some psychological manipulation. The first part was making it look like you would have to continue playing the game if I was lynched, and likely dir in the proccess. The second part was what people call Prisoner's Dillema. I came up with that bit about only people who voted for Makoto surviving, in order to make you paranoid about each other and afraid of taking risks.
Unfortunately for me, the town spirit beat pragmatism in the end. Well then, I have no complaints about balance, I think sprit did a superb job. So have a good weekend, everyone.

Overall I hope the aspect of-
What is good for yourself /versus/ what is good overall was recognized.
in the end Hope in finding the mafia and finishing the job beat out ending the game to win.
This is the idea that underpinned the game for us as hosts - it really was a social experiment, and we went into this to see if this kind of spin was something players are receptive to. We were (and are, I guess) fully prepared for this to be a trainwreck. Whatever you thought of it, I hope it helps inspire your next mafia game design - I wanna play unique stuff!

There was a game where I was cult leader and I decided to reveal myself to make an alliance with town to take down the mafia.
They refused to even talk to me, and gladly lynched me knowing that would make the mafia win.
Town seems to love taking character over winning. Not that I entirely disagree with it, but it's curious how this game seems to bring such herosim from people.
Rej was Junko, who in the killing game wasn't Junko at all, but Junko's sister pretending to be her. Both of them are referred to as Ultimate Despair and serve as the primary antagonists of DR1.

I did essentially the same thing in A Series of Unfortunate Events. I could almost guarantee that town and the two independent teams could all win together if town agreed to not lynch the final mafia (everyone knew it was Sorsha) for one more day, but even though town believed everything I said (that I'm aware of - and I wasn't lying) they made the choice to end the game and I missed out on the win. It was sad.
I liked a lot of this setup and there was some good work by town.
I think the major setup problem (and I guess this is thematic) is that the town has nothing to fight for. It seems rather disheartening. I think even giving the limit on Bear recruits clears that up. At least for me. But I also don’t think the town win con is well defined? Which is kinda iffy.
I
I didn’t buy the DDL stuff but I figured I would win if I killed Sabie or at least more exciting stuff would happen so it’s still my best out.

Well that makes sense for the endding knew something was up and that we were missing alot of details am curious who everyone even more so alive was cause i didn't know at all.
Also this is a example of why to always believe in hope.

Sabie12 thanks for replacing me, I would've loved to play this game since especially Makoto is my favorite character but real life got in the way
Thank you host for accommodating me as well and Sloonei I did believe who you were up until I got replaced and only one honestly believed in me/sabie lol.
DDL did great, I really thought he almost swung despair in the end there.
Thanks for the wacky game, sprit. And well played, DDL and all. Jack catching the mean bear so quickly really threw a wrench in this game in a lot of ways, major props to him.
Playing as a stump is like ideal for me. I can just spout a bunch of crap and not worry about anything.
