Matching T-shirts are to the 2010s what BFF necklaces were to the '90s.

He is an astounding guitarist and a shitty songwriter.

My opinion of course.

Definitely agree with the former, disagree with the latter, but that's just me!

Though I won't argue he's the best songwriter ever, that's for sure.

What's his best song? I'll check it out. I bought Young Lions and Jesus. Thanks but no thanks.

Well, there's his tenure in King Crimson. From a solo perspective, I can see why you haven't been as impressed from a songwriting standpoint if those are your experiences. Not bad, but certainly far from his best.

Try the albums Side One, Side Two, and Side Three. I love those and firmly believe it's some of his best work.

I have a hard time picking just one song from any of those, but here's an introduction (it's a song he played last night and that he generally plays during solo concerts):

I obviously know his work with KC. But I do not have the "Sides," so I'll give those a fair shake.

Incredible guitarist. Plays a Parker. I want a Parker. $3000 machine.

Today we went indoor rock climbing for Crystal's birthday. I was the best at belay but not terrible at the actual climbing (proof below). There are more pics on facebook should you want to see me being ridiculous.

Was this your first time? Did you love it? How did your forearms feel the next day?! :p

Climbing is the best, I hope you stick with it! For me, climbing is the perfect mix of physicality, mental puzzle, strength, grace, and thrill. Also, because of your reliance on a belayer, it's also an inherently social activity, which is a plus....not to mention the fact that some of the best crags around are conveniently located in some of the most gorgeous camping/hiking areas in the world.

Go climb some rocks, everyone! It's so great!

I saw the other pics, too. Do you plan to move on to outdoor faces? There are lots of totally do-able smaller rockfaces even in totally flat places.

You look really good :D

Mongoose is the popular English name for 29 of 34species in the 14 genera of the family Herpestidae, which are small carnivorans that are native to southern Eurasia and mainland Africa. The other five species in the family are the four kusimanses in the genus Crossarchus, and the only species in the genus Suricata: Suricata suricatta, commonly called meerkat in English.

Thanks so much! I don't know how much I'll do this -- we were doing it for a friend's bday. She went all the way to the top, but I went about halfway. I was really good at belay, so maybe I'll become a sailor and put my chatarunga arms to good use!

I'm terrified of outdoor faces after seeing the German film North Face! It's really good though.

I didn't really feel anything the next day, but I do a ton of Chatarungas every day. I loved being a belayer! I'd do that again. I like the puzzle aspect of it too! Mensa for the muscles.

I was by no means a fearless climber. Hilariously, in one of the facebook photos where I look kinda cool, like I know what I am doing, maybe? 5 seconds after my coworker took the photo I said: "I might be stuck. How do I get down from here?"

Awe - still you look like a champ goosey!

The one at Marvel was one of those like half walls that rotated as you put your weight on the stone. I couldn't get my feet to get a good grip on the stone and co-ordinate it with my moving. The one time I got it to move, I lost my balance and almost broke my neck! My bad knee, bad back and bad shoulder didn't help my ability any either.

Needless to say, I am not a young and spry gal anymore. Much less Spidey.

Childhood fantasy = crushed. :(

Oh I just learned about those things! I'd be super nervous of getting sucked underneath. Reminds me of those endless stairsteppers at the gym that rotate around like that.
