I don't think niju's vote at EOD1 looks bad as an attempt to save Mac. Mac wasn't likely to be saved at that point, as the tally was 8-4 in his favor with seven minutes remaining to the deadline.

I just think her rationale for placing the vote regardless of where looked cooked.

I have no reason at all to call leetic a civilian. There are no interactive points in his favor, and none of his posts look particularly "good" to me.

Neverwhere has at a few isolated moments exhibited a decent tone. This apology is an example. I like this tone too. It's not much, but it's more than zero.

I thought her Jack interactions were a slight positive tick for Luna. More tha zero.

7 of niju's 11 posts feature some kind of comment relating to her not being here. To be fair Neverwhere's ratio is similar. Among the four though niju is the only one for whom I have active suspicion.

Idk, I don’t get much out of the tone of the reasons for inactivity. I think it’s easy to fake a sincere sounding excuse or apology for not doing something. I know I’m guilty of doing it plenty of times so maybe I just think everyone does it

Could be. It was close enough to the deadline that I am not sure it's so simple. When a wagon is secured on a mafioso and people tack on meaningless votes at the end, those are often the ones that get accused of bussing (trying to salvage some credit once they realize they have to lose a member). Some people will deliberately avoid that.

It's all WIFOM though.

I think I've already posted that but if you missed it I'm not a fan. We were doing fine without a limited pool of targets. He says he based it off the GTH but as I recall that was only a few people. I'm not sure whether the power can go both ways or not, he says it's always been civ when he's seen it but this is a weird game.

I was not leaning bad on Luna until she outted speed. I don't see the reason for that, outting someone else that you think is 95% civ just doesn't make sense to me and her only reason is "someone asked me why I thought speed was civ". I mean, if you have to out the person in order to explain your statement don't make the statement at all!

leetic's reason for not being here, while I didn't like it, seemed ok but I didn't like him pushing us away from voting for a low poster before DDL limited us.

So, as I said, if someone feels really strongly about Luna or leetic over niju with good reasons I could swing to one of them.

I will say it is a risk as a baddie to make a smaller pool unless you are certain that your team won’t be in it.

As soon as I finished posting I realized something. If Luna is bad, there wasn't a reason to expose speed. She would have already told her team after she had btsc with him. So, my reasoning there was not very good.

I didn't say that. But I do think at some point we'll have such a high concentration of civs among the actives that letting the inactives stay untouched will not be optimal.

Going after only inactives can slow the town down this early on though.

It's a variant on that role, not quite the same thing. He had the same role in the bulbagarden game many of us just played. That's why I thought he was making a joke.

I disagree. Generally abilities hitting people at random results in revealed baddies and vigged baddies, which means much more for the baddies than the civs. I've lost count of how many games I hosted where I gave the mafia the ability to randomize someone's actions and it ended up backfiring on them. While in terms of thread, a game where town is constantly attacking different people and not following predictable patterns means more things for mafia to react to. Mafia likes a game that follows a smooth lynch order which they can control.
