Hey, hosting mistake. I forgot DH can't be night-targeted. So much going on in that role. Sorry DH.

Additional clarification: prior to my fix the post merely read "Ooops", which was only a marker for me to identify it. In case anyone'd seen it prior, now everyone is aware. No players made any editing mistakes, this was entirely host and facilitator.

Yeah, I meant to use his post (randomly) as a Post Reply by clicking Quote and deleting all the text. I didn't realize I had clicked Edit instead, and then the Night Post was sitting back there...

Pretty successful night. Nice going, whoever killed juliets. We’ve got one nighkilled baddie from each team now. That’s... something.
I voted for Quin. I assume INH is gonna get lots of attention today, but I don’t want other suspects to slip by.

Juliets was the Gentle Shephered, which is one of the most civilian-looking roles in the lineup, not accounting for *secrets*.

Re: Mafia: A World Asunder - GAME THREAD [Day 3]
Another thing I’ll want to re-examine is the end of Day 1/beginning of Night 2. G-man and I both pointed at juliets and were met with immediate backlash. I still strongly believe Mac is town, but I would not be the least bit surprised if some other Jagged Blades supported the push against me or at least conspired to push the conversation in a different direction.
This post is just a note to myself. If anyone else wants to take this up though, I think it could give us some useful insight.

Also: G-man switched his vote from juliets to me as soon as this all started, which was wack even before we knew juliets was bad.Sloonei wrote: ↑Fri Dec 14, 2018 2:52 am Another thing I’ll want to re-examine is the end of Day 1/beginning of Night 2. In A World Reborn, yes we were.
I'll go through her posts today to see if we can find any Jagged Blade connections.
In the meantime i'm dropping a vote on DH, the Living Statue is a seriously dangerous role once he gets recruited. I feel like this needs to be discussed.
I'm also considering G-Man and maybe novaselinenever who hasn't made a single post from what i can tell.

That being said, discuss away. What is a more valuable use of your time:
A) Hunting and lynching possible baddies
or
B) Lynching a confirmed non-baddie who could be very useful for the civs in the late game

from what i can tell DH isn't actually dangerous unless he gets recruited by a mafia and even then he's not even that dangerous cus, we know who he is, so his shenanigans would be limited, and his alignment doesn't even seem to be up to him. right?
assuming the "powerful ally" means the statue itself and not some outside thing.

This is exactly what happened last time though. Dom the Living Statue got outted, people didn't pay attention to him, then the baddies recruited him and they won.

Re: Mafia: A World Asunder - GAME THREAD [Night 2]
Awesome result! Bye Jules! Looks like the night killers are better baddie hunters than the town, lol.
When we have potential baddies in our sites, meaning Sabie and INH (and some say even you, although I still am having problems meshing your meta as I know it with the reasons people find you bad), DH is a backburner issue to me. Especially when he is in the spotlight through no fault of his own.
I want to reread Sabie today, hear what INH has to say, and maybe get back to Slooneis list.
Yes, you were. I don't like pushing cases against people who are not there to defend, and I also do not like CFDs if truth be told. Especially if the person is not there. It isn't sporting imo, although I realize not everyone has that opinion. But I will argue against it when I see it happening.
The way I read the role, you need all of his body parts, not sure how many there are? If a civvie finds even one, then he cannot become the ally of whoever finds the others? Would that be how this works? How many body parts does he have, and does HE know where they are? These are all things I would consider before I would want to lynch a "maybe"over a "probable".Tranq wrote: ↑Fri Dec 14, 2018 3:11 amIn A World Reborn, yes we were.

Re: Mafia: A World Asunder - GAME THREAD [Day 3]
Also, since a member of the Remnant died night 1, and a member of the Blades night two, it is possible that the Blades are the odd NK and the Remnant the even, which would make Turnip Head who he flipped as, the Trickster. It is possible that one of the other roles could have killed him, or Juliets, but Occams says TH being who he flipped as is a strong possibility. It isn't often that two baddies in a row get NKed, so this may help us differentiate NKs.
So, I would think it would be easier going forward if we don't spend the game second guessing ourselves and freaking out about the Trickster at every turn. This is to the baddies advantage. Until I see something that makes me think differently ( like someone else flipping as a role already flipped as dead) I am going to work on the assumption that TH was who he flipped as.
And roles who may know where people are relative to themselves, it is also possible that her teammates clustered around Juliets for her protective abilities. Anyone that shared a square with her, or knew her to be nearby, think about who else was around her, and maybe reread them.

Re: Mafia: A World Asunder - GAME THREAD [Day 3]
What are the actual seats of baddies dying 2 nights in a row? In particular on nights 1 and 2? I’m so used to games where night kills aren’t revealed that I’m actually not sure.
And an alternate theory: what if the trickster is an Indy role who kills every night? Juleit’s Death doesn’t read as a baddie dying. Not to mention that we have no idea who is killling. Personally, I’m Not going to push that people aren’t who they seem, but I’m not going to personally make that assumption. And I personally believe it’s a dangerous assumption to make.
Strongly leaning towards an INH vote. Possibly sabie.

Re: Mafia: A World Asunder - GAME THREAD [Day 3]
So another baddie got night killed. I mean as people say it could be possible they werent if the trickster is still involved somehow but it's hard to tell that for sure. And yeah I thought gentle shepherd looked like a civ role too. Now that we know it's not its even more uncertain how many of the roles are which alignment.
I saw a few people still accusing me. I wonder is it based on any kind of actual argument or just the crazy lady who people are very much interpreting incorrectly. Also just want to know if that info came from the hosts then how was it able to be shared in the thread as a direct quote? Isn't that not allowed? If people think I'm bad because I voted wilgy I made an argument for why I thought he was bad. I also wasnt the only one who believed he was bad. As a civ you go off what you think is baddie behavior but you dont know for sure. It was an honest mistake. Unless there was some trickery going on but again that also is uncertain.
Also also I am wary of sig. Have been since the first lynch. He has a few people very quick to defend him (teammates?) and his back and forth behavior on lynch one trying to tie things up then going after wolbre who flipped civ. Then the next lynch he was the only one who voted DH who then had someone target him the next night. His argument for accusing me didnt really make any sense either. Just assuming I played on other sites with info dumping yet he said in response to spirityos info dump about me that yes that must be true and must mean sabie is bad. Instead of looking at it as it could be false or have a different meaning. He also believed juliet's was civ. I wish I could copy past all these things but I cant on the phone but if you look at the iso you'll see what I mean.

So if we're not assuming any of the night deaths are who they say we are, we've got two civ lynches. Good luck hunting after throwing out 2/3rds of the hard info we have.LoRab wrote: ↑Fri Dec 14, 2018 8:02 am What are the actual seats of baddies dying 2 nights in a row? Re: Mafia: A World Asunder - GAME THREAD [Day 3]
Without going into ISOs I remember SVS gave me shit for the way I was attacking juliets. I think Cbob also did, though I'm not sure if it was specifically related to juliets or someone else. I'm gonna look at those guys today.

Two civ lynches? Wilgy still screams Hollow Man to mecolonialbob wrote: ↑Fri Dec 14, 2018 8:55 amSo if we're not assuming any of the night deaths are who they say we are, we've got two civ lynches. Good luck hunting after throwing out 2/3rds of the hard info we have.LoRab wrote: ↑Fri Dec 14, 2018 8:02 am What are the actual seats of baddies dying 2 nights in a row? In particular on nights 1 and 2? I’m so used to games where night kills aren’t revealed that I’m actually not sure.
And an alternate theory: what if the trickster is an Indy role who kills every night? Juleit’s Death doesn’t read as a baddie dying. Not to mention that we have no idea who is killling. Personally, I’m Not going to push that people aren’t who they seem, but I’m not going to personally make that assumption. And I personally believe it’s a dangerous assumption to make.
Strongly leaning towards an INH vote. Possibly sabie.

Good luck hunting after throwing out the mechanics of the game.
