That's pretty much what I thought when I saw it. I figure it's just a just in case thing and is probably only going to be tied to a role changing it's own alignment on revival, kind of like the old Judas thing.

I honestly would not be surprised if that's in the game since the role is basically themed for this style of game and I consider it pretty well known.

I think the best way to treat the possibility of alignment changing upon being revived is to just treat those revived as if they are not the same slot/role/alignment that was prior to death unless someone actually claims the mechanic that lead to their revival in which case they would be judged based on if that is believable or not.

It might not be likely that a lot of people would be changing alignments, but it would be the safer approach.

Well if they really don't die ("flip") then I'll be more likely to believe it as it doesn't confirm anything about them

If they do flip I think its more likely that their alignment doesn't change as having a mafia who once flipped green, in even a game where we may have to consider that as a possibility, is probably too powerful

I don't think activity reads are angleshooting, any more than thinking someone is frozen would be, but I agree that Cobalt not posting since D0 is probably just NAI.

I'm questioning your methodology. The reason I asked if you thought that them not checking in was scum behavior was to see if you had some meta knowledge knowing that Colbalt does this as scum or something.

Your response wasn't that you did and was just that they were slanking which I disagree with since that position is implying that Cobalt has read their rolecard and is choosing not to post when it's equally as reasonable to assume they don't know the game was starting. As far as I can tell there is no real way to distinguish the two hence why I don't think you can call Cobalt scum or town over NAI.

I personally think of slanking as putting in minimal contribution in hopes people don't question you, so I wouldn't consider no activity as slanking.

But really this is starting to get to the point of angleshooting anyways and I don't really care to try and rule on someone's alignment based on not having posted yet.

I'm questioning your methodology. The reason I asked if you thought that them not checking in was scum behavior was to see if you had some meta knowledge knowing that Colbalt does this as scum or something.

Your response wasn't that you did and was just that they were slanking which I disagree with since that position is implying that Cobalt has read their rolecard and is choosing not to post when it's equally as reasonable to assume they don't know the game was starting. As far as I can tell there is no real way to distinguish the two hence why I don't think you can call Cobalt scum or town over NAI.

See Cobalt has to have read their role card because they have posted already. Otherwise that is very disingenuous of them. I had it wrong to say they 0 posted, but their post doesnt fill me with confidence either, Just talking about not knowing what a poll is for.
