There will be 4 leaders and every one else starts out without an alignment. Each team will recruit on a schedule to build the teams.

Two teams are civvie aligned and two teams are baddie aligned.

Ok, but how do those 5-position abilities thingies work or get distributed?

I think that as players get recruited, the positions are assigned to them by the Guardian of that clan who recruited them. :ponder:

I would guess that the five positions are related to the Nesting Doll role from the previous RM
The Nesting Doll

Chooses a position each night, 5 positions. Each position has to be used before they can be used again.

Typhoony is correct, to a degree. Each night, players will vote on which Position will be chosen for the next Day/Night phase. Mostly, we'll go through all Positions before repeating any, though that might change as the game goes on. Each role will be on the same Position during any given phase.

Since there are some questions already, I will ask some about game mechanich, which I dont know since I did not played the previous ones

so civvies win with civvies, and mafia with mafia, even if they are two main teams different?

And can someone be no recruited at the end of the game? what happends to them

and how the recruitment takes place? does the leader know the name of the player? or there is a method?

Correct me if I'm wrong BR/LC, but the way I see it:

- On Night 1, a poll will go up asking people to vote for one of the Positions. Whichever Position wins is the one that all "Leaders" end up in. So if Position 5 wins, Caelia will be immune to NK/Lynch, Ahrimans votes are worth 3, etc.
- On Night 2, a poll will go up asking people to vote for one of the Positions as well, except this time, Position 5 is not an option, only 1, 2, 3 and 4 are.
- This goes on until after Night 5, when all of the Positions have been used. After that all Positions will be available again.

Ah, clearer now. So only leaders get rotating abilities, whilst all recruited are vanilly?

No, everybody starts with 5 positions I see now.

Roles

That's right Typhoony. Everyone gets rotating roles. We think this will create some interesting new perspectives for suspicion - why did nutella vote for Position 4 that time? Why is Epi pushing for Position 3? Is he on Ubzargan's team and wants immunity for his leader? Etc. :srsnod:

Civvie group 1 needs to defeat baddie group 1 and 2
Civvie group 2 needs to defeat baddie group 1 and 2
Baddie group 1 needs to defeat Civvie group 1 and baddie group 2
Baddie group 2 needs to defeat Civvie group 2 and baddie group 1

That's how we have it right now. I think it kind of boils down to the usual - Civvies have to defeat all the baddies, and the baddies have to defeat the other baddie team and the Civvies. Basically.

Recruitment happens in a variety of ways, from leaders choosing players, to general application, to contests, and more! If you are unrecruited at the end of the game, then you will not win. It is unlikely to happen though, unless one team just brutally murders the game and wins early.

Well, I'd said a few months ago I was taking a mafia break for awhile. But then this past weekend, MP mentioned to me that this was in signups. Soooo...I guess my break isn't as long as I said it would be lol.

I see LC answered some questions but I am going to outline all the game mechanics here.

Recruitment

All players, except the Leaders, will start off the game as neutral. Recruitment will happen on a schedule designed to keep the game balanced. Some recruitment will happen privately and some will be public competitions. The winners of those competitions will be private. Usually by the end of the game every player alive has been recruited. All non-recruited players will survive to win. The baddie teams will have a limited amount of recruits at one time. The teams will not exceed a certain number. That number is private.

Positions

Each role will have a position. When you are on that position that will be your power. Day 0 we will vote for the first position. That power will be active for Day 1 and Night 1. Night 1 we will vote on a different position, that power will be active on Day 2 and Night 2 and so on. After the third position is chosen I will recycle the first position chosen and will continue like that. We should always have three positions to choose from. There are circumstances that could change that or force things.

Epic Challenges

These are private challenges for each role. They will not be shared in the thread or in BTSC. We will monitor all BTSC and BTSC can only happen where we have told you. We are open to circumstance and if a team needs to communicate differently we may approve such a thing. Epic challenges are made this way for a reason and we will not forgive this rule.

Typhoony can explain how this rule was very important to him and his win. Don't worry, no more Musketeers this time around. :p

Once again we tried to step up the game and it's mechanics. Be fair and patient. Nights will be a struggle to get right. :sigh:

Sadly, I will not be able to play. This game and A World Reborn were among the games that I most looked forward to and it seems likely that I shall miss them both. Prepping for the baby is taking up more and more of my time at night (just look at my weak participation in Frisky Dingo) and I've got some lovely meetings and HOA board issues coming up. We're also now car shopping, as my wife's 15-year-old Civic is showing signs of needing life support very soon. Once baby 2.0 finds her day-to-day rhythm, I'll be able to sneak back in and try to join a game here and there if I think it won't push me over the edge of sanity. I'll still be around in non-game threads but it looks like Frisky Dingo may well be my final game of 2015.

I know what you mean. It's been wonderful getting back into this world after so much time away from it. I figure once the little one starts sleeping through the night (maybe January?) I'll join a speed game here and there to test the waters of game-RL balance. You'll just have to create a fifth installment and relieve me of my Recruitment virginity then.

Like I said though, I'll be around. I'm trying to start a simple Fantasy Football game if anyone is interested. If that doesn't take off, I'll still post in the social threads. Or maybe I'll just spam you guys with off-topic picture posts. :ponder:

This does look like an interesting game, but I will also have to pass. I'm in 3 leagues in fantasy football, got a new job coming up that will absorb most of my time, and if the Angry Birds game starts up soon I'll have my hands full. Next time though!
