Mostly though I get associative vibes around there, maybe cause they didn't interact with each other much.

I'm rereading the thread for bea, Scotty and Eloh all at the same time. Wawa word vomit time. Is it a grammatical error if the person's name is in itself, a grammatical error?

I voted bea because
A) she is extremely cheery
B) she is the first in the poll
C) I don’t know if it’s pronounced “bay” or “bee” or “bah-ee”
But mainly e) her first post was quoting another post, which is suspicious.

Why is opening with a quote suspicious?

It’s akin to the “coffee tell”, albeit infallible and full of holes. I don’t know the real reasoning behind the ‘tell’, but I believe the idea is that quoting someone else in your first post is a less organic entrance than if you were a town. I’ve been caught by others as mafia, which I thought was bullsuit being ‘caught’ with a *nothing* reason at the time. Now, sometimes I’ll do it as town just to see who bites.

Is bea the type to fall into the trap? I was mostly kidding, but then…what if i snagged the rat AND the cheese?

My townread on splints was not because she voted Sloonei (although her voting someone to, as you say, put the screws on was part of it). It was a tone read, she made three posts in a row that all gave me 'town splints' vibes.

Also, re sloonei, the most I've felt about him so far was surprise when DH did his iso and there were more than 40 posts in it. I'd have imagined he'd posted about 15.

But, also, this is role madness with role hinting and perhaps I haven't paid enough attention to Sloonei but I have him tentatively on my metaphorical spreadsheet as a particular civ role already.

Bea gets a light town read because she seemed genuinely intent on getting involved and talking about the game when we interacted yesterday.

Eloh’s early responses to initial pressure looked a bit fidgety, but I had no interest in piling on in case that was just an exasperated reaction to being slapped in the face with heavy suspicion on her first day back in a game in five years.

Golden looks town, feels town, and smells town. He has yet to do anything that clears him from his potential range ad mafia, even after a long layoff, but he has also done nothing which compels me to consider him a suspect.

Sloonei seems a bit guarded, or at least merely cordial, if that makes sense. His reads haven’t been lacking, but they’re just a bit bland. It’s like the doorman to a fancy hotel holding the door for me, asking how my day has been. I tersely answer “fine,” and then he asks if I watched the Yankees lose the other day; I laugh something non-committal about not being into sports (when in reality I’m all about baseball) as I try fruitlessly to edge towards the elevator. That’s what it is, it feels like small talk. It just feels to me that he’s just sort of…here.
