As we've previously discussed, I don't agree with your take on Lucy in the thread.

And I think even if you do think she had inordinate focus on those three people, this framing of it is over-egging it substantially. Lucy did not make 'constant attempts to bring discussion back to a non thread related coincidence'.
Hard disagree. Once she realized these were teenagers, and the kids of another player, pretty much every one of her posts were about them.

But you didn’t tell me why your town read is so strong. What are you seeing that I’m not?
It's not strong. I don't really have any strong reads yet. I said it's 'one of my few town reads' because most people are more in a midzone for me. I think her frustration with you was quite legitimate, and the way she endeavoured to engage with you but ultimately left feeling frustrated and like you wouldn't hear her side of the story came across as town, to me.

The sentence I've highlighted in green contains the answer to itself, in my opinion. Lucy, a teenager, wanting to get a read on the other teenagers in the thread? 100% in line with what I'd expect to see.

Sean's approach to SVS gives me town vibes.
Explain.
I think the Sean v svs issue was somewhat of a misunderstanding. Do you two play together often or ever? I understood svs's side of it (that is why didn't specifically ask you svs) but I've known her forever and a day at this point and I more-or-less less speak her language. I follow the logic of her argument, and not so much Sean's. That's not to say I think he is definitely lying. But that either he doesn't understand her particular playstyle OR he os fabricating his defense and then fabricating an offense against her. I definitely do not buy that she'd use a stereotypical baddie archetype on day 1.

My eye is more on Sean from this exchange. Not to mention the (unexplained? I'd have to go back and look) sudden switcheroo to svs is town? And why Sabi, is that just tunneling like you said you'd do when the game started. Yea, I think I just semi convinced myself.

None of this when looked at as a complete picture screams town to me. I'm putting my vote here, at least for now.

[VOTE: Seanzie] aubergine
 your loss.

Yes, it was unexplained.
And you don't care to elaborate?
I changed my mind. Decided what I was seeing was not as significant as I thought, and let other people's opinions persuade me. I don't really have anything to add, aside from the fact that my feelings changed.
Ok TY.
This explanation satisfies you?

It didn’t feel like she was just trying to get a read, it was bordering on … I don’t know how to put it, but it didn’t feel like friendly interest. And I understand frustration. But I’ll think about this.

And you know baddies can be frustrated, too.

If it helps, Lucy did something similar to me one time, even to the point where I had a similar reaction to Dennis. I think Lucy was town then. I'd guess it is NAI for her though.

Most likely town to least likely town

Kate
Jack
Dennis

But none of those reads are particularly strong yet. I'll be interested to see whether today's outcome gives insight.
Can you elaborate? Specifically on why you think Jack is more town than me.

Thank you, Meta perspective is always good. I’ll take this and what Golden said into account. I’ll have a few hours after work to do some rereading and decide on a final vote.

Yes, I do know. Like me with DH in the last game. I'm not saying 'it makes lucy the superest town who ever towned'. I just don't think Lucy is a good vote today, I think it's making too much of a mountain of something that I think is a molehill.

You're trying harder than Jack is, Dennis.

That's not inherently a bad thing. But I think rolling mafia in your first game would make you more likely to try harder than Jack currently is.

For now, I feel good about SVS, Kate, and Marmot. Scotty has been very inquisitive, but that's not necessarily AI; Seanzie and SVS feels more like a misunderstanding IMO. Golden has been back and forth and it's scaring me very far away from them.
I appreciate your thoughts!

Don’t take this the wrong way- I’m just being inquisitive after all- but how do you know what is alignment indicative of me if we’ve never played together before?
I made an assumption. I don't actually know but I'm pretty sure you just like questions. My point was I don't think you're suspicious because of that.
I learned something new here. I thought "Alignment Indicative" meant in general, like say posting a lot of OT, or asking a lot of questions, *in general* is not AI. I did not realize it is a specific thing for an individual. Like I would say "AI" in general, and "AI for Scotty" if I was comparing it to his specific meta. I've been using it wrong.
IME it means both/could mean either depending on context.
Thank you, that’s what I thought. It just seemed that Scotty was implying Dennis misused the term so it confused me.

I have mixed feels on Scotty. I know he plays a very analytical game, and there’s not much to analyze before the first elimination. So I’m low keying my expectations of him a bit until Day 2.

But he also seems to be on the same thing as Lucy re Dennis, albeit on a lesser scale. That bothers me a bit. Sabiplz said she thinks Scotty’s buddying me. I didn’t get that feeling. We just finished a game where we we both town, and he low key suspected me pretty much the whole game. So I was just thinking that having just watched me closely in that game, he had a better feel for my town game.

But I also know I can be susceptible to that, so her saying it makes me more aware to watch for it.
Scotty feels pockety thus far, to both myself and Wilgy
Damn and I’m not even wearing cargo shorts.

I can see why, but being 100% honest, I'm just trying to interact a lot, get a feel for how this works, what to look for, etc. Jack is... not so interested in the game, and that's why he isn't posting so often. I also love thinking games so I just naturally wanna be involved.

Now see my thought was if *I* was bad, and was playing against my sibling in a game like this, I would be afraid to lie in front of them, figuring it would be easier for them to catch me than random strangers.

But what I would do is not much basis for suspish. But if I had to rank them I’d prolly put Dennis greener than Jack.

How are you all playing this? Like are you going into other rooms to read the thread and post just so you don't give away facial expressions?

That's not inherently a bad thing. But I think rolling mafia in your first game would make you more likely to try harder than Jack currently is.
Thank you.

I can see why, but being 100% honest, I'm just trying to interact a lot, get a feel for how this works, what to look for, etc. Jack is... not so interested in the game, and that's why he isn't posting so often. I also love thinking games so I just naturally wanna be involved.

We are just making sure not to talk content at all. Dad is overseeing to make sure no one says anything out of bounds. We're on strict lock down here, no worries.

Jack and Dennis are going to be tough unripened apricots to crack. As introductory mafia games go, strategy and meta haven’t been established and what probably looks suspicious in a seasoned player might just be reaching to gain a footing in the game. I’ve been there. I foresee them going quite a ways in the game (unless they get NK’d, which I think is poor form early on) unless something sticks out like a sore thumb.

I don't know. It would've depended on how they voted.

Yeah, you’re definitely in a snippy pshaaa spew phase. I don’t get the feeling you’re actively trying to defend yourself nor offer any notable alternatives.
