I want to sign up, but I'm too scared to do so

I have an idea for Mulholland Drive Mafia. It will be disguised as another game. People will sign up, roles will be sent out, etc. At the end of Night 1, really odd things will happen, and then the real game will begin. New roles, the person who was lynched Day 1 will be brought back in, chaos will ensue. I'm also considering taking on a co host who will host the first part of the game. So, imagine this dear players. Any game at any time could really be Mulholland Drive Mafia. Be ready.

Sure, why not. These short games are easy to manage.

Especially when one side is losing quickly.

so, Ricochet, on a scale from 1 to 10, 1 being a super basic, civs versus townie, no special roles version of mafia, and 10 being a super duper conceptual avant-garde experience that nobody wins and people hesitate to call "mafia," where would you rank this game?

I don't think a 7 can be achieved in Heist games, the way they're supposed to be outlined. You could give a try, though.

Heist guidelines specify role restrictions, but not mechanical restrictions -- for those of y'all that like a game to be a total cluster. :P

Well, it was kind of implied re the mechanics. Alex wants them to be simple basic games, kind of like anti-clusterfucks

I had fantasy baseball players to flip out over before game time. Here we go again.

If my suspicions are correct, we're only 3 people away from putting fear into the hearts of mafia players everywhere.

Besides, he may have not remembered signing up for this one when he checked out of other games, so I'll have to check in with Serge, close to this phase's completion. Hope to see him play, though.

This game is still in pls mode.

I can't stand seeing a game in sign-ups for so long. Signing up. Consider yourself lucky.

I'll be out of town for the next day and a half (I'll tell the story of it in the Concerts section afterwards, if I'll survive the experience, that is), but how 'bout we try to be ready for a Friday start? Invite your friends and enemies, (re)consider playing, we only need a few more peeps, after all, letz go.

Count me in. Hopefully I can perform better than I did in The Office.

One more if Sig is in, actually, two more is Serge is out. I PM'd him in advance, but no answer - is anyone closer in touch with him, to ask him?

Ok, so I see a few courses of action:

1. One more let's go and game begins. Afterwards, que sera sera, regarding Serge.
2. One more let's go and one quasi-replacement volunteer, but ready to go in principle, given the likelihood that Serge might not respond - and responsiveness will, in fact, be important during the first stage of the game.
3. Two more let's go, game begins sans Serge.

Thoughts?

(Seriously, though, if someone could reach out to Serge outside the Syndicate, that would be very helpful).

#2 is nice if it can be managed.
