My biggest mafia regret of 2016 is not being able to play Haiku. I hope there's a sequel.

Sector C1 may have been the pay dirt they were looking for.

"I just blew up a gigantic server computer ship!" Hot Dog cheered. "It must serve as the host for their communications equipment or something. It had a very Cylon-sounding name and looked like a skeleton. Spooky as frak."

Sector C1 has revealed the Socky Award for Best Host:

Congratulations to Epignosis! His games always stand out.

"Sector D2 eliminated!" Starbuck and Hot Dog shouted in unison.

"Kind of a shame. The only system there seemed very virtuous," Starbuck mourned.

"Oh well," Hot Dog said. "We gotta unplug these Toasters no matter what. It was a pretty jagged system anyway. Tough to navigate."

You were very sharp yourself, Goldman. I had all the high hopes going into BSG and all were fulfilled, from the viewpoint of watching a theme blossom into adaptation and experiencing it via play.

"All sectors clear," Starbuck said over the comm. Admiral Adama smiled. Then another transmission came through.

"Sir, we have an update on those intercepted transmissions," a technician said.

"Go on," Adama said.

"Well, we deciphered it wrong. It appears these Sockys aren't power sources but power trips. These systems and their contents are sources of pride for the Cylons."

"What?" Adama asked.

"Sorry for the confusion, sir. And that's not the end of it. We decoded something shocking."

"Well," Adama fumed. "Out with it!"

"It turns out that the Galactica is a Socky."

"What the frak are you talking about?" Adama roared.

"We checked the schematics, and it's true. Look here- there's the inscription."

Adama read it and tried to make sense of this news.

"Best Theme?" he pondered. "But if we're a Cylon Socky, then what does this mean for humanity?"

I think in terms of the theme feeling immersive to the point that it felt like more than just a game of Mafia, BG was the premier choice. Well done, Golden. After the game I blasted through all four seasons of the reboot series pretty quickly.

Thanks for the votes, guys. There could be no socky I'm more proud of people voting for me for than this one. And the 'best theme' comes as much from all you players embracing the theme as it does from my design, so thanks to all of you. I've never had so much fun hosting.
