So we are all choosing the black rock for the challenge? My willpower advantage tells me which one my opponent has before I make my choice, and I haven't gotten anything back yet.

A couple of things I want to understand:

There will be no immunity challenge today. Both tribes will be having their own tea party with me at tribal council tonight.

Scotty Probst said, "Five votes, that's enough." I inferred that there were more, but they were superfluous at that point.

I'm not sure it's worth it to go with black every time. The only thing we win for this challenge is fishing gear, which I assume allows us easier access to food. But some yellow votes could rack up a ton of food for our party anyway, so I'm thinking a mix might be the best solution, especially if they have a spy and can thwart at least one black vote.

That means they are not going with an all-black plan. If we go with an all-black plan, we will get fishing gear. If we go all yellow, they will get the fishing gear and hopefully we will all benefit. Another thing to consider, is that the game is designed with a Twist that will punish us if we go all black.

I'm going to switch to Yellow right now, and I will switch back if that's the consensus.

The best they can do is give us nothing and get nothing.

If we go all black and the other tribe uses even one yellow rock, we get the fishing gear and the other tribe gets absolutely nothing. Right?

Yes, and the person on our side whose opponent picked the yellow rock would walk away with one food and one point, giving us a victory of 1-0.

Just realized I didn't explain why I'm waiting for Elo instead of just going with black. If Elo chooses yellow as well, I can go with yellow to get us more food and we'll still be ahead one point from MP choosing black.

As long as everyone else on our team chooses black, the other team can't get ahead or tie it up.

If we get screwed because of twists, we get screwed because of twists. I'm not keen on assuming there are extra mechanics when I have to reason to believe they exist.

Ok, what we do know is that it's really likely that their team will have Willpower players on it as well. Our ideal plan is to choose yellow until the last possible second, and then switch to black, to trick their Seers.

Epi makes sense. I'm just trying to think of a way to maximize our food potential. If this were an immunity challenge, I'd absolutely be fine with black across the board. But since it seems we're just playing for a means to gain more food, I'm thinking a combination of yellow and black would be the optimal means of attaining maximum food (though obviously the tricky part is knowing when to do which).

That was my original plan, but LC brings up a good point about choosing yellow and switching to black at the last minute. What if that's what the other team is doing? Go yellow now, and switch to black (if you choose to) at the latest possible time.

The time limit/deadline is end of day. All rock choices will be revealed in the End of Day post.

Go yellow now, and switch to black (if you choose to) at the latest possible time.

I don't trust that everyone will be around at the latest possible time to switch. I would feel more comfortable if we took the guaranteed dub.

Fishing gear should yield us more food in the long run and I haven't seen anything saying that we CAN switch. I think I should go with black just to be safe. But we're a team, so if you guys say yellow then that's what I'll do.
