I am sending in the Black Rock now. Each of us should tell the thread when we send it in. We need to know that everyone is participating.
Murder, Mayhem, and Mafia

Thank you!Sorsha wrote:I have one to Quin and one to notsawyer because I wanted them to feel loved I could keep one for myself and I will probably in the future but I decided to see how it goes sharing. They both participated in the challenge. Maybe Epignosis can share with you?Long Con wrote:Who did you give them to? Did you get to eat? Why did you give them away?
Also, I'm hungry.
Willpower is stated to be the attribute associated with this Challenge. What does this mean?Scotty wrote:Challenge #2: Let’s Rock [Willpower]
If there is no Immunity today, does that mean that both tribes will be voting someone out tonight?Team REWARD, no immunity[/center]
Shit, that means that they probably have a similar spying advantage over some of us.notsawyer540 wrote:My willpower advantage tells me which one my opponent has before I make my choice, and I haven't gotten anything back yet.
There will be no immunity challenge today. Both tribes will be having their own tea party with me at tribal council tonight.Long Con wrote:A couple of things I want to understand:

Or does this mean that there will be an Immunity Challenge later today?
Scotty Probst said, "Five votes, that's enough." I inferred that there were more, but they were superfluous at that point.S~V~S wrote:Wow that was a shit role to lose. And only 5 people voted.
I will join you on the shelter Faraday.
So this is basically a random game of chance? should we discuss rock selection?
Update:MovingPictures07 wrote:Also I have a willpower advantage. Scotty said I will find out what my opponent chose re: the rocks when that decision is made.
How can they thwart a black rock?DFaraday wrote:Scotty Probst said, "Five votes, that's enough." I inferred that there were more, but they were superfluous at that point.S~V~S wrote:Wow that was a shit role to lose. And only 5 people voted.

I'm not sure it's worth it to go with black every time. The only thing we win for this challenge is fishing gear, which I assume allows us easier access to food. But some yellow votes could rack up a ton of food for our party anyway, so I'm thinking a mix might be the best solution, especially if they have a spy and can thwart at least one black vote.
Yes, and the person on our side whose opponent picked the yellow rock would walk away with one food and one point, giving us a victory of 1-0.Epignosis wrote:If we go all black and the other tribe uses even one yellow rock, we get the fishing gear and the other tribe gets absolutely nothing. Right?
If we get screwed because of twists, we get screwed because of twists. I'm not keen on assuming there are extra mechanics when I have to reason to believe they exist.Long Con wrote:On the surface, yes. Barring some twists. What do you think the likelihood of the twist is in this situation, is it within usual Survivor lure for such a Twist to happen as, I don't know, something that will make us regret being selfish?
What do you mean? All I got was a PM with my updated stats and another with the info about being able to see my opponent's choice in the challenge.Long Con wrote:Did anyone get a result from the night poll?
I think you should choose yellow to gain food for our entire group, since MP already gave us a leg up with his black rock.notsawyer540 wrote:Elo has selected the yellow rock
That was my original plan, but LC brings up a good point about choosing yellow and switching to black at the last minute. What if that's what the other team is doing? We've already seen two yellows from them. Do I play it safe and go black or do I go with my original idea and choose yellow so the rest of you get food?DFaraday wrote:I think you should choose yellow to gain food for our entire group, since MP already gave us a leg up with his black rock.notsawyer540 wrote:Elo has selected the yellow rock
Aren't you assuming that you're allowed to switch?Long Con wrote:Ok, what we do know is that it's really likely that their team will have Willpower players on it as well. Our ideal plan is to choose yellow until the last possible second, and then switch to black, to trick their Seers.
Question: What is the time limit? When is the deadline? If you do not submit a PM in time, you forfeit your turn, and point automatically goes to the opponent.
No, it is no assumption. I started with black, and I switched to yellow.Epignosis wrote:Aren't you assuming that you're allowed to switch?Long Con wrote:Ok, what we do know is that it's really likely that their team will have Willpower players on it as well. Go yellow now, and switch to black (if you choose to) at the latest possible time.notsawyer540 wrote:That was my original plan, but LC brings up a good point about choosing yellow and switching to black at the last minute. The time limit/deadline is end of day. All rock choices will be revealed in the End of Day post.Long Con wrote:Remember:

Another question: Will all rocks be made public in the end?
You said you did. Is the Mr. host man counting your switch?Long Con wrote:No, it is no assumption. I don't trust that everyone will be around at the latest possible time to switch. I would feel more comfortable if we took the guaranteed dub.Long Con wrote:Go yellow now, and switch to black (if you choose to) at the latest possible time.notsawyer540 wrote:That was my original plan, but LC brings up a good point about choosing yellow and switching to black at the last minute. Players may switch their vote for rock any time before EoD. EoD is midnight EST tonightnotsawyer540 wrote:Fishing gear should yield us more food in the long run and I haven't seen anything saying that we CAN switch. I think I should go with black just to be safe. But we're a team, so if you guys say yellow then that's what I'll do.
Do we know when this ends? I can't see an end time for the poll and I'm only home a few more hours.
What kind of twist?Long Con wrote:On the surface, yes. Barring some twists. What do you think the likelihood of the twist is in this situation, is it within usual Survivor lure for such a Twist to happen as, I don't know, something that will make us regret being selfish?
And if so, someone whose opposite put in a Yellow Rock, if we put in a black rock, Sawyer & MP will be told they changed, right? If Speedchuck and Eloh don't change, we're good to all put in black rocks.Long Con wrote:Ok, what we do know is that it's really likely that their team will have Willpower players on it as well. But we would know if Speedchuck or Eloh did, right?Long Con wrote:I'm leaving my rock yellow, and then switching it as close to midnight as possible.
@S~V~S: Right, but they could change at 11:59, and we'd be too late once the word got through.
A bonus for unselfish people in the next Immunity Challenge.S~V~S wrote:What kind of twist?Long Con wrote:On the surface, yes. Barring some twists. S~V~S and I both chose "Trust", and we have been in BTSC today... I assume because of it. I thought perhaps other options had yielded results.notsawyer540 wrote:What do you mean? Did you send her name in yesterday for the btsc thing?Long Con wrote:A bonus for unselfish people in the next Immunity Challenge.S~V~S wrote:What kind of twist?Long Con wrote:On the surface, yes. Epi: I only HATE to lose an Immunity Challenge. Losing here would be just inconvenient.
