I'm poisoned, and Strength ain't my go-to. But I would do the challenge if needed. If It were me making the call I'd sit Golden or someone else who got poisoned.

Fortunately, my stats weren't too badly impacted from the poisoning.

I like chuck's plan of early attack, I do have something to add to it. Scotty said quote "The order and combination of actions dictate the quality of hits".

Perhaps, to give us an edge, we ought to think as if this were actual combat. Early attacking is fine by me, but I would caution against too many successive attacks or two many successive blocks.

In fact, I would also argue that the last pick should be a "Hit Low". After 7 rounds of combat, wouldn't you be a little shaky on your feet?

someone who isn't poisoned or needing rest themselves. If we don;t keep the fire going, I don't get food to distribute each night to those in need.

I missed that.

Okay, yeah, there may be some hidden mechanics. Score-wise, it's better to attack early, but mechanic wise, it might be best to shake it up. If we go round by round, perhaps we should do some A/B testing on the rounds? Give the first fighter a list, see how it goes, and then adjust accordingly?

I'm thinking something like:
High Attack
Low Attack
Block
High Attack
Block
Low Attack
Block
Block

Jeff, this is not a commitment to action.

I'd like to add to this.

A not insignificant portion of the tribe is under the influence of food poisoning. This challenge will cost *3 Energy* which is the most yet, I think, unless people went buck wild on the first challenge.

As King, I would very *strongly* suggest that the tribe focus on fish and water today. A 50/50 split between the two should tide us over until the sickness passes, with obviously someone tending to the fire and if you want, napping (Although I would argue, tending to the fire is tantamount to resting) . As fun as it would be to hunt for idols, they don't stop you from getting medically evacuated.

I am well, and am sitting with 8 hunger, 10 thirst, and 16 energy. I can do fish or water if someone takes over the fire. I am also willing to do the challenge, of course.

Jeff, is it possible for one fighter to take on two opponents?

I don't inherently see a problem with a strategy like this, but I do have notes:

It'll be difficult to keep balance (And therefore quality) on a hit if you go from High all the way down to low, I'd think. What I might suggest, is something like this:

High
Block
Low
Block
Block
HIgh
Block
Low

Maybe we can do some A/B testing with both of them. After all, the fights don't all resolve at once.

no, every player will be slotted in.

Perhaps we can take your aggressive stance for the first four bouts, with some variation of your strategy, and finish with mine for the 5th-7th

We need to organize who on the tribe isn't poisoned or has some kind of strength bonus, rank them first, and the people who are poisoned last in order to ensure that if we kick ass and take names during the competition, the sick peeps can be spared the energy sink.

That's a good point.

I'm sick, but I have 9/10 of my energy so I could go 5th if we need it.

I think the ordering is going to happen automatically, based on sign-ups. Which is good, because I think none of the sick people have signed up yet.

DH, as far as strategy goes, let's suppose that mine is a bust. I don't want to give away the first four with that. Nor do I want to put your strategy entirely on the sick/weak players that sign up last.
Let's throw up some options, pick the most suitable ones as being acceptable, and then let each player pick from the shortlist.

Balance: High, Block, Low, Block, Block, High, Block, Low
Balance 2: Low, Block, Low, Block, High, Block, Low, Block
Aggro 1: High, Low, Block, High, Block, Low, Block, Block
Aggro 2: High, High, Block, Low, Block, Low, Block, Block
Full Aggro: High, High, Low, Low, Block, Block, Block, Block

Just some suggestions.

Jeff, I will do the challenge

I'm not sick. My energy is at 14. I'm still good to go, I think.

Also, switched to getting water, so we all stay hydrated.

Also, to keep in mind: there's a good chance that the other tribe has folks with food poisoning, as well.

I'll take the group's advice as to how to order my moves for the challenge.

I like the idea of variance. Here's another plan of attack I think might be effective:

Low

I just have to be careful now how I word my suggested attack strategies so as not to lock in an official attack till I'm ready.

To our fellow survivors: Are there any of these options you would rather see eliminated? We have 6 options here, and I think if we get it down to 3 or 4 for the challenge, we'll be good to go. Then the fighters can select from the move lists.

Alternatively, if you think you have a good ordering to throw in, please do. Just keep in mind that we do want to narrow down, so it'd better be at least on the level of these plans.

Nope! I think they'll pick different things as well. A lot of this is luck, it seems. I just want to give us a set of logistically sound choices.

I've got 17 energy. My advantage could either be very helpful or the luck of the rolls could be bad (I get a d8 and d10). I'm happy to go first or toward the front. I like aggro 1 and 2.

Thank you Opt for stoking the fire for us. So far I have the least energy of all who have shared. I am going to take a nap.

This would not be right, but very true :sigh:

Not to bemoan a point, but I stoked the fire alone last time and did just fine. In my humble, royal opinion, it would be more productive to fish/get water.

Although I'd like to stress I'm totally cool with 2 people on fire duty just to cover bases. No skin off my nose.

I'm gonna need everyone on the same page here. Wilgy barely escaped tribal after some very uncool shenanigans. I'm a benevolent King, but not one that suffers many insults or fools. Wilgy, as part of the tribe you're part of what gives us the win or the loss, so I'm willing to do a few things if you are.

The Anti-Wigly rules are temporarily lifted n the following circumstances:

Wilgy participates in challenges to the best of his ability
Wilgy provides food, fire, and shelter to the best of his ability
Wilgy is honest and forthright towards the tribe

If you break any of those rules, or I smell a whiff of you might possibly break one of them, or you misread one of them, or you so much as think sideways, and it's your ass.
Kay :^)

I will fight in spite of my illness. I think I can pull this off.

I think it's also important to consider the defensive inverse orders i.e.
Block, Low, Block, High, Block, High, Block, Low.

In regards to this challenge I think we need to focus on our meta reads of our opponents. i.e. If you were against me would you expect me to be aggressive or defensive? If I saw I was facing myself I'd block 2, attack, block 1, attack, block 1, use remaining attacks.

It would appear 1 of Golden or Elo is sitting today.

I'd prefer to have your action order in by 1 hour before EoD, por favor

Golden had to pull double duty on the first challenge, so if it were up to me, he'd sit. But Eloh also had to do a lot of hooping in the first challenge so if she's not feeling confident I'd say she has a good case as to why she should sit as well.

I also think Golden should sit.

I know that we are all sick, but if we are all afflicted in the same way I think Golden's energy is the most in danger after the double challenge. Eloh would you be willing to do this?

@DH, sure but why?
