CHINESE FOOD MAFIA
Look, you asked for it.
Image

Most of you reading this are probably wondering why this game even exists. Who would want to play a game about Chinese food? The answer to that, my friend; you'd be surprised. So here I am, writing up this ridiculous theme for a bunch of people who get their rocks off in the Chatzy every week making a spectacle of my series of unfortunate events. Let me fill you in.

Our story begins in the early hours of the morning. In mind was a celebration for my younger brother’s 18th birthday; we would drive seven hours north to a place which housed what was described by my mother as ‘the ambrosia of Chinese food’. Such a plan, however, had its fair share of hiccups. And cows. If for some reason you want to hear more, you're gonna want to sign up.

Rules:
- Votes are changeable.
- Info-dropping and role-claiming is not allowed.
- Self or double targeting is not allowed.
- Mafia members must take turns performing the night kill.
- Players on the willing faction will win, dead or alive.
- Day phases are 20 minutes and night phases are 10 minutes. Day 0 will be 10 minutes. Please be aware this may change depending on circumstances.
- Questions should be directed to me in PM, which I may answer in the thread if relevant.
- This is an open-set up, with all flips revealed.
- All game posts should be posted in white. Off-topic posts should be posted in green. Dead posts should be posted in red. I will be using this colour, and you should not, especially if your name is Spacedaisy.
- Not having fun is punishable by a modkill.

Sign-ups will close and the game will begin at 5:30pm EST on Friday (also 7:30am AEST on Saturday). This game is going to be no fun at all. Even so, you should most definitely sign up. It’s not like you’re busy or anything.

Town

Kamikaze Cow – Gets in the way of a player each night, taking on the effects of any ability that visited their target in their place. The targeted player will automatically watch the Kamikaze Cow that night.

First Car – Shares BTSC with the second car.

Second Car – Shares BTSC with the first car.

Cow x 6 – Vanilla townie.

Mafia

Poo Poo Road – Role blocks a player each night.

The Closed Restaurant – Cannot be lynched and has full immunity from night actions until all other members of the mafia team are dead.

Sesame Chicken – Truly terrible. Vanilla baddie.

Independent

Snooty Waitress – Will live for only a conditional number of day and night phases. Wins by surviving. [Secrets]

Awesome. :slick:

Just to clarify, this will run on the evening of Friday, March 17th Eastern time, right? I only ask because I've somehow had confusion with people in the past over what "next" weekend is.

Thanks for stepping up to the plate to bring us the first Burglary of 2017, Quin. Looking forward to this. I'll absolutely be playing as long as I have no conflicting schedule commitments.

EDIT: I totally meant March, not January.

LOL, not sure why I said January. Obviously I meant March. This year is getting away from me, apparently.

Without bringing time zones into it, yes.

I should note that my internet connection is extremely unreliable, so it's almost a given that there will be delays in getting posts out at some point. If we're REALLY lucky, the game might come to a halt completely because of service provider failure. Yay!

linki: Scratch that. Time travel is, unfortunately, not a mechanic in this game.

Sounds good.

Given that, if you feel it'd be best, we could see if someone would be willing to serve as backup co-host to assist.

That might be a good idea, but I wouldn't want to deny anyone the opportunity to play a game about Chinese food.

I never have any idea what my availability is going to be week-to-week, but pencil me in as a maybe.

St Patrick's Day, eh? Friday night?

Not worried that some potential players might go out and get drunk in honour of St Patrick? Image

Man I wish I could but I'm probably never going to be able to play a burglary schedule-wise. :(

Oh no Quin! I thought this would be a side mission! I'm not sure I can play a burglary, it depends on what time it starts and ends. I'll put myself down as maybe I guess.

Tsk. I considered replacing the one I already have lined up with this, but this felt better as a burglary and that way I can still host both. Hope you can play though, since you're half the reason this exists in the first place :haha:

I see now its designed to take place over the weekly chatzy so that works for me in terms of time so I changed my vote. The people who work might have a problem with the start time, you may need to move that later for them.

I can't confirm, but I'm a solid maybe. I'm quite sure I won't be doing any typical St. Patrick's Day stuff, but Friday might still present some difficulties.

To be honest, my friend - few things would make me happier than to support this game of yours but it's a Saturday morning for us is it not? Saturday mornings are pretty hellish for me but I'm considering it all the same. A Sunday morning however is an entirely different matter as I think I am able to far more easily accommodate that.

:( Hopefully you're able to be around for it. I think this is best hosted on a Saturday just because the people in the Chatzy were the ones who developed the idea in the first place and I wouldn't want to host it at a time they couldn't participate.

Friday is the toughest day of the week for me, so I'll have to wait and see. If the game is nearing its start point though and I am around, I'll give it a go.
