Great British Bake-Off [Side Mission]

A fun idea I had. Not really fleshed out yet. It needs some... proving time :shifty:

Obviously Paul and Mary are the mafia since they eliminate a baker each round, but since there's only two of them I might have to finagle something to balance it. I'm toying with the idea of Sue and Mel being an indie team, but it would also make sense for them to be civ since they're so damn nice. The civs would be the "bakers" in the flavor posts but since I don't want to single out a specific season or specific competitors from the show I'm thinking I'll base the roles on commonly baked items (sponge cakes, choux buns, bread, macarons, savory pie, etc.)

I might also do something to work in the idea of Signature, Technical, and Showstopper rounds. Maybe there'll be a poll for which flavors you'll use in your signature bake, and some kind of challenge event for the technical challenge...

Idk. I love coming up with theme ideas but I'm terrible at the more practical/technical aspects of it. So we'll see if this goes anywhere.

Happy to help turn greatvthematic ideas into balanced mechanics if you want a cohost. I've never seen it, but I like the aptly names Jenny Eclair.

I just finished that one. It's actually the 4th season originally (and season 1 on Netflix is the 5th, 3 is the 6th). I used other sites to watch seasons 1-3. :p

If you have PBS (and most streaming platforms like Roku or whatever) can stream PBS, and I think PBS has all seasons. That was how I watched Downton Abbey, though, in real time, so I know you did not get that so maybe you can't access PBS?
