I'll do B and dig two increments and then try as long as it takes to get through (for the first hole)

Part one option a: build five sections and try, adding one section each time it fails until I finish

You dig twice costing you 4 energy. It took 3 tries, but you finally fit, retrieved your bag and got back through. The whole ordeal took you 90 seconds

You wrap 5 segments together and attempt to reach the key. You do so, and it doesn't wilt at all! You retrieve the first key! That took you 1 minute 40 seconds

So the instructions say I only need to build the pole once, do I need to do anything threadwise to get the second key?

Since you have built the pole, im assuming you are looking to use the same technique to get the other key.

You reach through the bars with the pole, but fail to reach it, so you add another segment. This takes you 25 seconds. You reach through the bars again and reach the 2nd key! That looked relatively easy.

Okay I'm going to build a pole 5 segments long and reach for the first key. I'll try a max of three times if it fails to reach and see how that goes.

You fasten 5 segments together, taking 1 minute & 40 seconds, then reach through the bars for the 1st key. It fails to reach all 3 times, costing you 15 seconds.

You quickly try again- fail, and then once more, and reach it! You bring it back and open the box of puzzle pieces. A little bit of trouble there, but you got it in the end!

You try once more and fit through and retrieve your second key! On your way back, you struggle to get through once, but then make it on your second try. This room took you 1 minute and 10 seconds.

Just realized that I was so caught up in the challenge that I never congratulated all of us on making it to the final 4! Seriously, it hasn't been easy, and I think we all deserve to be here. Whoever of us makes it to the final 3 will deserve to be there and it will be a fair race to the end. Whichever of us is eliminated will be a difficult choice and it will suck, but whoever that person is (and if that is me), there is honor in having made it this far. And whoever is eliminated does have the power of the jury, which is not a power to be underestimated.

Well played to you all. You have my respect. High fives all around.

Well said! I'm really glad to be here with all of you- you're all great players. And you've all saved my neck in this game at some point. I respect you all enough to say that I know we have to vote against each other after this challenge, but whatever the vote is I won't be blindsiding or lying to anyone. I think you all deserve that. Good luck everyone!

Night 12: "High Fives All Around"
Image
It was no picnic getting to this spot. 4 competitors left: it was a showdown, to be sure.

All players did as they pleased at camp. It was the last day, after all, so as long as they had a relaxed day, they were probably going to be ok.

The big story today was the final immunity challenge. Players knew that only one player would be able to win and secure their spot for the following day.

This immunity challenge had 3 parts: retrieving keys from rooms, walking a maze with their puzzle pieces, and then completing their puzzle to raise their flag.

2 players, Quin and LoRab, began digging furiously to get to their keys. OptOutside and Sorsha chose to fasten a pole together out of reeds and bamboo. It wasn't long before both Opt and Sorsha created a pole just long enough to start reaching for their key. LoRab didn't have too long to spend on her hole, and quickly got her key. Sorsha wasn't far behind, and pulled hers back. Quin finally got through and snatched his key up. Right after came OptOut, who started reaching for her 2nd key at the same time as Sorsha. LoRab and Quin used their brute forces to keep up, and were lagging behind only slightly. OptOut reached her key after a few tries, and she and Sorsha wrestled with the lock of their cage and made their way to the balance beam maze. Quin was huffing and puffing because he had a hard time trying to jam his body under his cage. LoRab didn't, and so she hustled to keep up with Sorsha and Opt. Quin finally fit, snatched up his last bag and headed for the maze.

In the maze, it was clear Sorsha knew where to go. She only took a few wrong turns, and ultimately found the exit. Seeing this, OptOut buckled down and picked her turns better and finished less than a minute after Sorsha. LoRab was getting frustrated and almost gave up, but she made a pact with her steadfast feet and made it to the end not half a minute after Opt. Quin, bringing up the rear, had far more trouble getting through the maze. After falling twice and getting turned around, he was falling farther and farther out of this challenge. You'd think he would have dropped a pound or two after almost a month out here.

"Like that Hurley guy in that docu-drama Lost?" Asked little Chelsea, a viewer at home.

"No, because that was explained in Season 2, Chelsea. Now do the dishes," said her mother.

Back at the challenge, Sorsha and Opt were carefully examining the Symbol Puzzle. It was taking a while for both of them. LoRab stepped up and peeked over their shoulder, but the ladies weren't sharing anything. It was clear that both OptOut and Sorsha were neck and neck, but one moved ahead of the other...

Sorsha completed her puzzle not 30 seconds before OptOut.

Sorsha has won the immunity challenge!

Sorsha has won Individual Immunity and has reserved a spot in the final tribal council, where she will plead her case as to why she deserves to be Sole Survivor. You may not vote for Sorsha tonight at Tribal Council.
For the rest of you, someone will be going home and will be the 15th and last person voted out of Survivor: Mafia.

It is now Night 12. You have 24 hours to vote someone out at Tribal Council. Night will end at Midnight, PST (3am EST). I ask that you send all Votes and Actions to me by 11PM PST.

FINAL TRIBAL COUNCIL WILL IMMEDIATELY BEGIN AFTER THIS NIGHT PHASE.

I didn't poison either of you. I think it was a game mechanic, because I don't see how one person could target both of you in one night, especially when there was already a role that could do that.

Quin wrote:Want to tell me what those factors are?
Process of elimination.

And I reject the idea that it was a game mechanic. The PM said "you were poisoned," which is an active thing, and exactly what was said in the PM when I was poisoned last time. It was not, "you got sick," which is something completely different. I assume someone found an item which allowed them to target people with poison. The only other possibility is that Golden poisoned me and was faking it himself, and that is not something I believe is in his character to do.

I thought based on Elo's revealed role that she was the one who poisoned you guys? After she was voted out one of her abilities was like "can poison the food twice"

Re: Merged Tribe: [Night 12]

First off, totally not in her character to do that and then lie about it. I think she is capable of doing so--I'm not underestimating her--but I don't think it is in her values to do so. Nor do I think she'd stab me in the back like that. It's not who she is.

Also, my poisoning takes away an extra point of each per night, not saps everything twice as fast--so it doesn't match what the role says.

Re: Merged Tribe: [Night 12]

Posted: Thu Mar 30, 2017 1:34 pm
by LoRab
I find it more likely that Golden did it by using a role (even though the result doesn't match up) than that Elo did it, in terms of personal character and values. Although I hold that I think it unlikely that either of them would do that to someone to whom they made promises. It's just not who either of them are.

Also, still not the same result.

So, are any of us leaning towards voting off a particular other of us? Do we want to think about making general pleas to each other? How do we want to do this? Quin addressed Sorsha about making a case for himself, but that sort of ignored the fact that we all have a vote this round. It's not just Sorsha's decision. (however easier this might be if it were...well, not for sorsha)

3. Night phases, should the team not win immunity, will consist of Tribal Council, where one player will be voted out of the tribe at the end of the phase via privately-messaged votes. All ties are to be randomly decided among the tied players.

I'd love to have an open discussion about it and see where everyone is at. Everyone but sorsha only has two options. I don't know what to do between quin and lorab- I feel a lot of loyalty to both of you.
