Damn bea. Was he a popular one?bea wrote:His grandpa was an election
quit being pissy and let your wife post picts of your awesome house in this thread. I've seen what Eloh has done. I know others here would love it too!!!Epignosis wrote:Damn bea. Was he a popular one?bea wrote:His grandpa was an election
Golden wrote:It's awesome that BDH is so handy, bea. It's exciting when you can get things done. And... USB plugs... thats intriguing and something I hadn't thought about. At the moment we have actual plugs with plugs and usb ports stuck into our wall plugs, so the idea of the usb ports being straight into the wall is a great one. I'!!m going to have to look into it now, because new switches and sockets in some aprts of the house is one of our first necessary upgrades.
Or you know - post them yourself. You and I both know how amazing your wife has been designing your home.bea wrote:quit being pissy and let your wife post picts of your awesome house in this thread. Quit hating and embrace that we are all one family.
Dumbass
tbh you prolly played it smarter. Just don't go there with me in spelling and autocorrect. Please just understand that sometimes I do it on purpose and sometimes on accident. When you point out my accidents you are a kinda dick cuz I live a fluid word life.Golden wrote:I nearly said something about Truman vs Dewey, but then, yknow, I let Epi be the jerk instead.

Epi - BDH and I are in our 40s. We don't have kids. We are buying our one and only home. We are desperately trying to create equity cuz there is NO ONE BEHIND US to take care of ourselves. WE bought a home that makes us happy and we hope like shit that once we pay it off, our investment will give us some more cash to take care of us in old people land.Epignosis wrote:bea, I went from unemployed suddenly with two kids to teaching with three kids and now we are here. I love it here. I told my neighbor / mover that I didn't buy a house. I bought my tomb.
I am sitting upstairs in my room- MY room- listening to the storm outside and having a bourbon. I'm enjoying myself.bea wrote:Epi - BDH and I are in our 40s. We don't have kids. We are the same except that we have to take care of this house then dump it, before we move off into retirement community.
I can quite genuinely say this is one of my favourite things about you.bea wrote:I live a fluid word life.
see...by your words, you called it a tomb. I call that heaven.Epignosis wrote:I am sitting upstairs in my room- MY room- listening to the storm outside and having a bourbon. One of my co-workers was all "welcome to debt land' and I was just all "welcome to being in debut for *my* thing as apposed to giving so much in rent.Golden wrote:I did not buy my tomb. But I'm glad that I bought a house that I will be very happy in as long as I need it, instead of one that was a sucky compromise just to get on the property ladder. Because I really did expect that the latter was all I was going to be able to finance.
me too tbh, its one thing eloh hasn't facebooked. And when he's not pissy and cranky he's ultra should be proud of it.Golden wrote:I would actually like to see pics of the man cave/studio.
I'm not lying at all -this was the one thing he did today1 he was MOST proud of. Even more than the lights. And every guy I've talked to about it has reacted like you. yes. It's tight but doable. And no more rent. I don't have that sweet baby to watch grow up and maybe help when I'm old. I have parents to take care of (being the one of my siblings who hasn't had kids) and then myself to take care of. Equity is important at this point in my life.Golden wrote:Exactly. Sure I have a massive debt, but week to week that debt doesn't cost me a lot more than my rent, and at the end of it I have something mine to show for it (and I won't have to be paying rent in retirement either).
All my things (laptop, phone, headphones, iPad) plug into an electrical outlet when I want to charge. There is an option to plug my phone, headphones into the computer to charge so I guess these plugs replace that option? They are certainly cool.S~V~S wrote:plugging in charging cables
