I would be surprised if new 13 kept their role to themselves.
As much as INH complained about Speedchuck "coasting" new 13 may have bought themselves a win ticket. Why squander it by staying silent?

Well, I got the flu role, #58. I won't vote for anyone and if no one votes for me they won't get infected. People already are of course but I don't have the knowledge of who - only "old" flu knows that. Will you tell us old flu?

But I don't think anything to serious is going to start until next stage unless one team has a plurality/majority then they'll just coordinate not to get lynched.

This role is the same as it was. Any form of removing it - and since I've long been aware of how overprotected it was designed, I must stress any form - will bring the risk of becoming winless unless rerolling into a 7.
If you leave your vote on me and I don't get lynched, you will still infect me. If I then die from that, you will be at risk at becoming winless unless rerolling into a 7.
But if you understood that, just don't care about losing the game, then sure, carry on.
