Please note, for those that played my Firefly game on Lostpedia: this is not just a re-run of that game. This is based on Firefly, the board game. You will see characters, items and places you recognize from the show. However, the mechanics are based on the board game and are going to be interesting and unique.

General Info:

• Minimum of 12

• No Maximum

• Number of mafia depends upon number of players

• Randomly assigned roles (each will have an assigned base skill set and alignment will be randomly assigned separately, unrelated to the role)

Day phases:

• Vote for someone to lynch

• Choose a crew, Captains hire (max six including Captain)

• Captains may fire crew members (excluding Day 1)

• Any players not part of a crew during a Day phase are automatically included in the lynch poll (excuding Day 1)

• Buy items (excluding Day 1)

• Captain’s choose where they will go the next night

Night Phases:

• Mafia make a team NK

• Crew limited to their own ship

• Take on job

• Crew must complete job

• Mutiny Opportunity

Jobs:

• Three tiers of difficulty at each location

• Three levels of pay depending on difficulty

• Captain chooses the job

• Crew’s combined skill set will be pitted against the challenge difficulty in basic dice rolls

• Crew members can privately decide not to participate in the challenge by PM

• Once a job is completed it is removed from play

• Only one crew can take a particular job at a time

Incomplete jobs:

• Members of crew all on lynch poll

• *Secrets*

Complete jobs:

• Lynch Immunity for all but one crew member

• Crew member to be on lynch poll chosen by Captain

• Money (divided among crew at the Captain’s discretion)

Items:

• Some enhance skill set as long as they are held

• Some will be one shot powers, used and discarded

• Items are for individuals, not crews

• Individual can only hold one item of each type at a time

Mutiny:

• When a majority of the crew send in PM saying they want to mutiny, the Captain is overthrown

• Captain is automatically removed from the ship

• Captain will be forced onto the lynch poll with +1 to vote tally

• First person to send in mutiny request will take over as Captain

She's a transport ship; Firefly class. Got a good crew: fighters, pilot, mechanic. We even picked up a preacher for some reason, and a bona fide companion. There's a doctor, too, took his genius sister outta some Alliance camp, so they're keepin' a low profile. You understand. You got a job, we can do it, don't much care what it is." - Malcolm Reynolds

Persephone may not be one of the central planets, but it's about as nice a place as one can find in Border Space. The high tech, well to do feel of planets like Ariel and Osiris is replaced with a humble, earthy sense of life. Here in the hustle and bustle of Eavesdown Docks you will find the kind of people who know how to get their hands dirty, but still find joy in life. As you wander the docks you see four ships there, Serenity, Bonnie Mae, Bonanza and Yun Qui. They all stand silently waiting for the Captain and crew.

Since we had a significant wait for this to start I am going to give a 48 hour Day 0. During this time, you all must choose four people to begin the game as Captains of the four ships. You may vote for up to four people, but you are not required to cast all four of your votes.

Being captain aside from the mutiny bit sounds fun, plus, it is my first game over here so not many people would able to accurately predict what I would and wouldn't do. But by saying all this, not sure if this is a great platform or not.

That said being captain first has some obvious upsides too. If you get lucky and avoid a mutiny, it's power for a long part of the game.

casting spells, performing enchantments, analyzing arcane symbols, that sort of thing.

Glorfindel because he is consistently easy to read so there's very less risk in his being elected leader

golden and speedchuck because I think leadership may come with a kind of scrutiny that may prove beneficial in reading them in the future, based on the actions they take, or whatever.

turnip head because i think it's important that we have a wild-card party crew and I think he's the best candidate for that job
