Game of Champions 2018 [SIGN-UPS]

Good evening.

This is a place to sign up for the annual Game of Champions, which I will be hosting this year. For those who do not know, the Game of Champions traditionally is a mash-up of all the Mafia games played in one calendar year, with the winners of at least one of those games invited to participate.

If your name is on this list, it means you have won at least one game this year and are eligible to sign up for the Game of Champions.

The purpose of starting sign-ups now, in this manner, is to gauge what level of participation I can expect and tailor the game accordingly, rather than create a massive game (and believe me, there were a lot of games hosted this year) that struggles to fill in a timely fashion and sees a sign-up thread linger throughout next year with interest waning (as has happened before with full games in the past). I don't want that to occur.

I'd like to finally play in one of these. I have an unpredictable future though and won't be able to fully commit yet.

I have a hunch that the game won't be massive like we used to expect back in the day. I could be wrong, but close to half the people on that list were one-offs and / or don't play anymore.

I can assure you that every game will be represented in the GoC, but there sure as hell will not be 35+ roles.

I am surprised to find myself on that list. I'm a solid maybe. It's been a while since I played, and one game at a time even if I don't flake out.

I signed up as "maybe, it depends" because it depends on the time frame. If it starts after I die in A World Asunder then I'm in.

Sign up for Vanilla Mafia. If that one plays (as well as A World Asunder) you will have two more shots.

The dummy build I have for this game projects to have roles in the low 20s, so the outcome of this thread is encouraging, especially if those voting the second option are closer to playing than not playing.

I’m contemplating this despite being on a mafia break, but it really depends on the timing. Count me in for Option #2 for now.

Oh wow thats tomorrow. I wasn't expecting it so soon. I'll have a whole day in there Wed., Thurs, or Fri when I'm driving home. Also, I'll say this before I get my role, Mon, Wed, and Fridays I work so won't be around until sometime around 3.

Epi, will this game be a 48/24 game? I should have asked before I said yes. Also, since it is starting on NYE can we have extra time to get through the holiday?

48/24, and Day 0 will cover New Years Eve and New Years Day. Day 1 would thus begin January 2 and end the evening of January 3.
